In April, 2014 Sequel ‘s picked up a lot of furniture and home furnishings from my home in Cincinnati. I was to receive approximately 40%-50% of whatever the items sold. The consigned items included everything from upscale lawn and garden furniture to a Henredon game table with recently upholstered chairs. I never received an itemized list of the articles they took, nor did I receive a list of what sold and how much they sold for. I received one check for about $ 300 in the summer of 2014 after requesting it. I never heard anything else from the company until I stopped in the shop in October, 2014. I was told that they had 4 small items to sell and they would send a check for the rest of the items as soon as they sold. I never heard anything else until I contacted them by email once again in March 2015. All items had sold and several weeks later I was mailed a check for about $ 500. I never received a statement of what the items sold for and what my portion was. I do know that they sold a brand new iron daybed with trundle that I paid $ 1,000 for $ 90 on their internet site. Overall, I do not think the items were sold for reasonable prices. I chose consignment because I was told they could get more money for the items than I could as an owner because they had the ability to publicize to a wider market. In retrospect I know I could have gotten thousands of dollars for what they sold for pennies. I do not recommend this company. They are not professionals in their field.

Sequels is located where there used to be a Plato’s Closet several years ago. So I guess they didn’t have much construction needs when they moved in as the dressing rooms and racks were already there! Sequels is just like a Plato’s Closet except aimed at a slightly older crowd. They carry department store type finds at a lower price! The store is filled with clothing that ranges from long out of style to very in style. The shoes were all out of style though. They have a lot of jewelry and a small selection of bath and body goodies. They have a rack filled with clothes that still have tags if that’s your bag! The store has a second room that is all home décor and furniture. Most of it was pretty expensive, but it was also really nice. They had this gorgeous Crate & Barrel entertainment center that was $ 2500 new and they are only charging $ 700 for it! Don’t forget to check out the pink columns out front before you leave!
