I’ll keep it short and simple because I don’t feel like writing a novel about a gas station. This place is always busy for some reason and I find myself waiting in line for pumps a lot. The parking lot/pumps are always a cluster-youknowwhat. Workers are pretty friendly inside but that’s about it. If you’re looking for gas, it’s usually cheaper/less busy elsewhere. If you’re looking for a bottle of water or alcohol or something, go to stop and go. Better selection, better parking lot, faster service. Also, If you think you’re gonna park at Shell and walk across the street to panera/bdubbs/etc. to grab to go food real quick, you are sadly mistaken. They tow cars in the blink of an eye with no apologies. Don’t risk it.

I like the layout of this store and the staff are friendly. However, their parking lot is poorly constructed and they love towing people. Their sign reads«Cross the road and you will get towed» and they mean it…

This Shell gas station and their Associates(ATYOURSERVICETOWINGCOMPANY) are a tandem in preying on customers who park on their lot step one foot off. They have cameras and drivers who actually solicit Shell to tow customer’s cars. I was towed in 4 minutes of parking, going to the ATM next door, to use money to use in their store. I called the towing company to explain that my car was towed in 4 minutes, he said, «We tow cars in less time than that.» THISIS A PERFECTEXAMPLEOFUNJUSTENRICHMENT. I will never use this station or towing company again and ask everyone to boycott this station as well.

Not much to report. They usually have a long line, congested parking lot, people loitering, and high gas prices. There is a Subway inside, but there really isn’t much need to go there. They have the basic convenience store items at a good price. They also have sketchy window service at night for convenience store needs.

This Shell and the BP on Jefferson are the only gas stations in the University Heights /Corryville area. There’s a Marathon at the corner of Ludlow and Clifton, a Marathon at Reading and MLK, a Shell at Gilbert and MLK, and a UDF at Taft and Victory — but those options are all a mile or two away. And that about does it for University-area service stations. The lack of competition means prices are typically high. While the gas station is conveniently nestled between Calhoun and McMillan streets, the space is used inefficiently. Basically, all the pumps are bunched up in front of the mini-mart with huge swaths of unused pavement on either side. There are only eight pumps in a space that could probably hold twenty, but at busy times, getting to an open pump is a chore because there is not enough space to maneuver around other cars. The most redeeming thing about this place is the Subway sandwich shop inside. It’s served me well the few times I’ve eaten there. Otherwise, I would skip this location but find myself there far too often because I let my tank get close to empty and want to fill up without driving out of my way.
