Order the food off the menu! The buffet is terrible but I ordered take out and the Dinner Specials are great. The price is he same as an entrée plus eggrolls but you also get soup and crab Rangoon. I love their Hong Kong Chicken it is batterd and crispy with lots of veggies. Sizzling wok fried rice is delicious and the eggrolls are also great!

One of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. Probably my favorite on the east side. Go when they first put the buffet out at eleven thirty and five thirty as everything is fresh and phenomenal. Egg rolls here are hand rolled and made fresh, so you don’t get the same egg rolls like at every other place where they bring them in frozen. Best egg rolls I’ve ever had.

Let me start off by the fact that I love Sizzling Wok, they have very delicious food. After this last experience, I probably will not return. My fiancé and I stopped in for a late lunch only to see that there was no food on their buffet but a few select items. We waited a while until finally I asked our server if they were going to put any sweet and sour chicken out and they did so. However, that’s literally the only thing that was put out. The fact that I was handed my check before I even got to eat and the fact that I look around and every single employee was sitting at a table eating while I was waiting for them to do their job really upset me to the point to where we got up and left. Really sad the owner of the one in Eastgate closed shop because my family and I truly do love their food.

We checked out restaurants within Unilocal, and this one has rave reviews. It was mentioned that the Crab Rangoons were made fresh daily in the restaurant. And the Egg Rolls were also freshly made daily. In both cases, the fillings were generous. They were cooked to perfection too. We chose to get the buffet on our first visit. Everything in the buffet was prepared Beautifully. I especially liked the dessert selections which offered Tapioca, Chocolate Pudding, CherryJello, whipped cream as you like it, and more as well. The restaurant and ladies rooms were spotlessly clean as well. Get there at 6:30pm, as the hours end at 8:30pm and at times a bit later. You will be delighted!

Got here for lunch buffet at 1:00. Lots of dishes on buffet were running low, no effort to refill. Lunch buffet with a drink was $ 12.25. Way too much for what you get. Won’t be back.

The service was great but the food made my mother and I physically ill shortly after leaving. Never again.

Well, I thought we should give Sizzling Wok another BIGMISTAKE. Their lunch prices have gone up again. I use to like the hot mustard sauce that they made. Now the have the little purchased packets of hot mustard. It is not the same. I don’t think I will be able to stomach going back

Good lunch buffet, lots of variety. The buffet is ready by 11:45 not 11 when they open. Good egg rolls. Good cheese puffs. Good food. Attentive waitress. They have 2 tv’s.

Ok, I give. You get another star back. There is a new hot table, so there is more variety. Also, the quality just seems better than other Chinese buffets. House-made egg rolls are awesome. That is something extremely rare to see at buffets! And their sweet and sour sauce(on the tables is great too). One gripe I still have is that there just isn’t enough traffic to keep the food really fresh on the buffet. They seem to have their own recipes for most items, like their General Tso is completely different than any other that I’ve had.

Sizzling Wok has the best egg rolls in Cincinnati. The buffet is really good and so are the menu items. The staff is nice and helpful. The staff does not just throw slop up on the buffet and wait for it to get cold and bad. They put out enough for the patrons in the restaurant. If there is something that is lacking just ask and they make it fresh for you. I love the food. They use real chicken and real beef instead of the weird processed garbage you find on other buffets. The pork ribs are so great and have a nice char. My mouth is now watering. Off to sizzling wok!

My friend speaks very highly of this place and she usually is spot on, so I had to give them a try. When I went I wasn’t super hungry and it’s a good thing because by 8:30 when we walked in, the buffet was wiped clean with no food in site. It was as if we walked into a no man’s land, and I swear a tumbleweed would have blown through if there were enough wind for it to do so… I felt that we weren’t welcome as soon as we walked in the door. The lady who greeted us was nice enough, but it just felt like we were the last customers of the night and had we not walked in there at 8:30 they would be closing early. I’ve worked in the industry and I don’t typically go in before closing, but they were ready to go FAR before we even got there. We sat down and our waiter was hasty to come over and get our drinks, but not friendly at all. Again I felt we were an inconvenience, and with these other reviews I’m reading they may want to rethink that, or they might just run themselves out of business. It sure wasn’t a party when we got there and I don’t think I’ll ever return on my own. For the prices, and lack luster treatment, I will take my money and smile elsewhere. The food was good, hence the two star rating instead of the one. so my advice, if you’re wanting Chinese, order it to go from this place and then get the heck out the door. If it’s the buffet you’re after, get there EARLY or it’ll be gone before you arrive. Bummer.

After many years being absent from the Anderson twp area, I recently moved back and the first place I headed was to the Sizzling Wok. You see, I use to eat here on a regular basis(OK daily) back in the early(gulp) 90’s. At that time, it was one of the best Chinese restaurants. So as I sashayed in my mind flashed back in time and I was thinking that everything would be just as I left it, well much to my surprise the same waiter from the 90’s greeted me. He looked at me and said«I remember you, you eat your food so hot, nobody eat!» We reminisced for a bit and my hopes were high. Well the fantasy ended when the food arrived. It has become your standard run if the mill Chinese food, the only thing missing was the picture board of the food above the cash register. My Kung Pao chicken was bland and«chewy» the hot and sour soup was, well greasy. I was saddened to see another good Chinese restaurant fall by the way side. I took the left overs home and fed them to my Dog«Steve» Steve joked about my visit, and agreed with my synopsis.

The buffet hasn’t changed in many years. Food is usually cold and rarely filled. There are few choices. You have to beg to get more and then they bring out enough for 2 people. Many years ago this place was well run, enjoyable and we went often. It now has new owners who are living on the old reputation. I recommend to stay away! The service is OK but they don’t honor coupons that they publish or sell.
