I was really hungry when I came to this Skyline. It was drizzling and a gloomy day. I walked into Skyline and immediately felt better. The service was good and the food is always a nice treat. It was certainly Skyline time.

Was not as great as we thought it would be. Hot dogs were cheap and kinda gross. Chili was pretty good, yet you could still probably find a equal if not better chili at other restaurants. Overall pretty cheap food. Finally the customer service was great and quick.-

If you’re passing through Ohio, you NEED to find a Skyline Chili. Although I’m from Illinois, I went to college in Ohio and am familiar with Skyline. My husband finally experienced the deliciousness of Skyline a couple years ago when we were at Cedar Point. When some friends asked if we wanted to meet at Skyline a couple days ago while we were passing through Cincinatti, our answer was«YES!» This Skyline didn’t disappoint. Clean-ish tables, friendly employees, super-quick service, and yummy food! Tons of chili piled on spaghetti or by itself or however you like, topped with a massive mountain of cheese and dollops of sour cream(if you want). I had the vegetarian chili on a small plate of spaghetti(without sour cream) and it was perfect. Sooo good. The oyster crackers are addictive, too. Yes, Skyline is kind of considered ‘fast food’, but I don’t care. YUM!

Don’t call it chili, it’s not chili– it’s spaghetti with runny meat like weird sauce. The conney’s are ok, but that’s the extent of it. The locals rave about it but coming from Texas where people know chili this isn’t it. The solid 8 waitress was by far the best part.

I love this chilli. If i lived in cincinatti i would eat here every week. The mound of bright orange cheese completely smothering the bowl seems strange at first, maybe even slightly disgusting. But let me tell you its the grestest thing ever. I wake up st night craving this stuff. Its something about the hint of cinnamon that makes it so addictive.

Is it Chili with Spaghetti, or is it Spaghetti with Chili? Super friendly suburban location. I think my cholesterol jumped 40 points just pulling in the parking lot. On a recent road trip from Milwaukee to Cinnci, we couldn’t wait for the first road signs to tell us we were in Skyline country. I’m a «three-way» fan, no beans for me. Chili is great, of course. You can taste the cinnamon in it. Not as good as Real Chili in Milwaukee, but I wasn’t in Milwaukee. You better like cheese on your chili, because Skyline piles on plenty of it. I’ve had the Coney chili dogs also. They are much more dog than chili, but a nice mix of the two, and of about a pound of shredded cheese. Be sure to stop at the local Kroger’s on the way out of town and buy yourself a few cans of Skyline for home!

Coming from Los Angeles, these chilling dogs are farrrrrrr better than Pinks Hotdogs. Skyline’s technique is simple and the chilli is seasoned just right. All the glitz and glamour that Pinks offer is too LA and wa zoo… words of advice to Pinks…“keep ur long lines and stuff it up ur ass… keep it simple!”

[This is part of a set of reviews covering establishments my family and I encountered while taking a road trip to Cincinnati.] ***** Chain review disclaimer: I won’t do ‘em. You can’t make me. Well, ok. Yes, you can. But not easily. I’ve sworn off chain reviews because chains are supposed to be the same wherever you go. That’s the beauty of a chain restaurant. So I’ll only do a review if there is something out of the norm for a chain, or the particular location. This will happen if there is something unique, if they are extraordinarily good, or extraordinarily bad. ***** OR, I’m traveling and encounter a chain I’ve never experienced before. That’s what this review is. When we got into Cincinnati proper around dinner time, we decided to stop to have a bite to eat. We wandered into this Skyline Chili, but came to find that they ONLY serve chili. You Ohio-ans will laugh at us clueless Midwesterners for that, but our experience has been that restaurants sometimes serve things other than what’s in their name for kids or people that don’t like the normal fare, but want to join a party that does. Since my wife and I didn’t feel like eating(what we Midwesterners know as) chili and the kids don’t normally eat(again, what WE know as) chili, we opted for the Steak ‘n Snake next door instead. So while we didn’t eat here, I will say that the waitress was very accommodating to us even though we had sat down and ordered drinks and it looked like a very decent establishment. Later in the week, we actually ate at a Skyline Chili, so for a REAL review of this chain, see .
