We’ve come here 2 years in a row. First year they sent us upstairs to their sister spa. They did a horrible job. This year the said they could do my pedicure but not my fill in because they didn’t have a technician available to do fill ins. Don’t open an establishment if you don’t have the correct staff available to fulfill your advertised services. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a nail and spa place.

Louis is THEONLY one I trust and that’s why I’m giving this a 4⁄5 star. Everyone else there does their job fast & they’re uncaring.

Horrible selection of nail polishes. When I finished my pedi, they wanted me to walk to the other side of mall to their other location to get my fill done. After slipping past a few stores to get there, I decided this was ridiculous. Told them forget it. Would not recommend.

HORRIBLE! I went in for a full set and during the time my nails were being glued on the male tech accidentally made the nail glue flick all on my arm and in my hair!(I should’ve left then) Then he made two of my cuticles bleed and did a horrible polish job! It gets worse … when I got home I realized that one of my artificial nails weren’t completely touching my real nail so it looks as though I have two nails because of the separation. I called immediately and the lady was VERY rude to me about it. She then told me to come in the next day and the man would fix it. I told her I didn’t want him to be the one who fixed it because I didn’t feel comfortable with his work. She told me «well he has to be the one to fix it since he was the one who messed it up!» with an attitude ! I was in total shock by this behavior. So rude! Anyways, I went up there the next day around 1130am and place was closed! I had an important interview that day and just wanted my nails to look professional. I couldn’t believe I experienced such horrible customer service and actually paid for such a bad nail job! NEVERAGAIN! The reviews on here seem right on point ! I wish I would’ve came here first and saved myself a headache, gas, and money! Do NOTGOHERE…

This place is horrible. It was unsanitary – my tech kept blowing his nose and didn’t clean his hands. I couldn’t see where he sanitized his instruments. Also, my nails are different lengths and some are slanted. I asked for a French manicure, but didn’t get it. I would not recommend this place if it were the last nail shop on earth. Avoid at all costs.

I work in the mall, so I thought it would be convenient. It’s a waste of money. Seriously. I first went there to get shellac French and if completely peeled off within 24 hours.(Ive gotten shellac that lasted two weeks — it was from another salon). I recently visited for an eyebrow wax and I’ve never felt so much pain on my face before. I frequently visit salons to get my eyebrows waxed. The swelling didn’t go down even after 48 hours now. She also burst a blood vessel in my eye doing this«wax». To top that, they’re completely uneven. I do not recommend this to anyone, despite how nice they seem.

So when I got a terrible fungus on my feet after my last pedicure at this place, I promised never to go back. But in a moment of weakness on a Sunday I relented out of convenience. So the man was rude and in less than a minute cute my cuticle and as it bled he did nothing. Still so sore. Find another place… anywhere. Just not here.

Do NOT go to this place. I went for a full set. I was not offered white tips and when I brought it up after the first nail, the tech was agitated and said he’d paint the white on later. He man handled my hands with NO gentility whatsoever meaning my hands still hurt as I type this. I ended up being charged $ 45 and my nails are uneven and the acrylic is lumpy. My sister did a better job her second week of nail school. I immediately made an appointment with another salon once I left. Run FAR away!

Was trying to give it a try to a different place, in return got a poor quality pedicure that i had to ask to get some areas redone. The poor/cheap quality of the materials shows on the finishing of the top coat of my toe nails that in top of the extremely limited variety of nail polishes and more thank half of them being cheap brands. Manicure was ok but didn’t made up for the horrendous result of the pedicure

I went in to have my shellac nail polish taken off, and a full set of acrylic nails put on. They did not know how to remove the shellac and just pulled if off with cuticle nippers. Then the tech used the dremmel tool to sand down what was left and the nail bed. He ended up sanding down my cuticles and making them bleed on 4 different fingers. The chemicals then burned my raw skin as I was having the acrylic nails applied. The acrylic was put on funky with divots in the sides. The polish was so thick and unevenly applied, that it did not solidify for 4 hours afterward! so I have ridges and marks all in the polish. All in all, I will not be back there again.

I really wanted to like this place… just out of convenience’s sake. I’ve been here three times for shellac manicures. and EVERYTIME without fail, the shellac starts chipping the next day. I always go back and make them fix the ones that are chipping, but shellac is not supposed to start chipping the next day. I will say, I had a pedicure a few weeks ago and they still look pretty good. Two of the times I’ve had shellac here, the girl that was doing it had NO idea what she was doing. I had a french manicure and she had to call over another nail tech both times to do the tips. Moral of the story is, I won’t be coming back for a shellac manicure because of the inexperienced nail techs. But, I will probably be back for a pedicure.

I went to Sophia’s this past Saturday for the first time– I will never go back. The only positive thing I will say is that they had a pedicure color that I can’t find at a lot of other nail places in the city. I will make this easy 1. Everyone was chaotic and the employees were running around a little clueless 2. The man who gave me my pedicure was almost hurting me he was brushing by so fast. I spend $ 70 on a pedicure and gel mani and the pedicure was about 20 minutes. 3. When getting my gel manicure, the man giving me my mani was going back and fourth between me and the lady next to me. Doing one of my hands, then going to hers. What the? This has never happened to me before. 4. After I told him the gel color, he disappears, and returns to work on the lady next to me because her nail tech had decided to do a pedicure for a late appointment. 5. He grabbed the wrong gel color, and when he got the right one, it was empty. 6. I had to ASK him to cut the cuticles. TWICE. 7. Lastly, it was just the worst job I have ever seen. In retrospect I would have made a scene and insisted on comping this service. It was horrible all the way around and left me with a horrible paint job, $ 70 less, and ruined my afternoon. I will never go back. This is a disgrace to the Kenwood Mall.
