Living in the city and in old houses or apartments most of the time you do not have a washer or dryer in your house. This has been one of my biggest problems while living in Cincy and it doesn’t help that I’m picky about where I wash my clothes. Finally though, I think have found the best laundry mat here. The Clothes Line is a smaller sized laundry mat in Mount Adams. Their washing machines and dryers are Eco Friendly, and that’s always a bonus. My favorite thing about this place is how clean it is. I really doubt I’ll be running into any bed bug covered anything here, which is what worries me the most at laundry mats. The first time that I went here a month or two ago, the employee who sits in the office and does the drop off and pick up service(Which is also available at this laundry mat) was sweeping and cleaning while we were there waiting on our laundry. Something I think is of unheard of. A CLEAN laundry mat. haha. The employees that I’ve encounter while being there are really nice and polite. If an employee is there music will be on too, and that’s enjoyable. They have two tables and chairs, magazine rack and they even have FREE Wi-Fi. So you can take in your laptop, phone or tablet and just chill and wait for your laundry. Another awesome part of this place is that they have some machines that take cards. Not all of the washers and dryers have the card option, but if you come in and the card ones are being used they do have change machine. They also have the little machine to buy detergent, fabric softer and dryer sheets for $ 1.00 each. The only thing that I’m not totally crazy about but it’s not a big deal is that it’s more pricey then most laundry mats. For the dryers it’s 25 cents for four minutes, but you can put as much time as you want when paying with your card, don’t think that you have to swipe it every four minutes. I think it’s around three or four bucks to do a large load of laundry, obviously less than that for the smaller loads. I know it seems pricey, but you have to look at it more so especially with the dryers, that it’s new and nice equipment so it doesn’t take as long for your clothes to dry, so you’re not paying that much. All the machines are timed and tell you when your stuff is going to be done, and since I have yet to encounter a shady person here, I would feel more than okay leaving my clothes to finish and going around the corner to UDF or across the street to The Mount Adams Bar & Grill or anywhere else. On street parking, but plenty of it. Bring cash just encase all the card machines are being used. Then you will be golden.

Clean, quick, Eco-friendly laundromat! Large capacity washers that take credit cards or quarters, and dryers are great!

It’s a nice, clean laundromat. It doesn’t have that scary David Lynch vibe that most coin-operated laundromats do. There’s no air conditioning or bathroom, but both washers and dryers tell you how much time you have to wait, so walk around the corner to UDF, get a treat and read the paper while your stuff gets laundered.(The UDF in Mt. Adams is super nice too!) They have eco-friendly high capacity washers and dryers. These are perfect for washing a comforter that your cat has been sleeping on all year before guests arrive. :) I don’t know if it was expensive or cheap compared to other laundromats, but since it’s in Mt. Adams, I’d venture to guess it’s not the cheapest place in town. They have change machines and those cool vending machines to get detergent in case you forgot yours. Dry cleaning and wash & fold services are available, but I didn’t use them.
