I don’t want this review to reflect on my local Kroger as it is a situation beyond their control. So after researching the issue I’m left in a state of confusion and this is the question. DOESKROGERCURRENTLYADD«lean finely textured beef» TOTHEONEPOUND, THREEPOUNDANDFIVEPOUNDCHUBSOFGROUNDCHUCK? Two weeks ago my husband did our shopping and bought a three pound chub of the prepackaged ground chuck. It was extremely wet and both meals that the meat was used for we felt something was wrong with the taste. Additionally, we both became sick one way or another after each meal. The remaining chuck I tossed in the garbage as I couldn’t stand the thought of three days with this awful meat. This week I bought a one pound prepackaged chub and found the same wet yucky feel to the meat so I threw it out before cooking and went with plan B for our dinner.(NOMEATFROMKROGER.) My husband said he thought maybe Kroger was adding«Pink Slime» to their meat. One article says no then later I read an article that said«Kroger carries beef both with and without lean finely textured beef.» This article lists the options that are safe if you are a consumer that wants to avoid a substance that does not need to be listed in the ingredients. Included in those options are among others Laura’s Lean Ground Beef and ground beef that is prepared in the store. So until I can find a dated source from Kroger that says LFTB is not added to their ground chuck I will either buy roasts and grind my own with contents I can verify or eat meals that do not include ground beef products.

WhooooHooooo. As good as it gets! Great place to work downtown. Includes a quick bistro in the main lobby and then a full café/dinning area that serves breakfast and lunch til 2pm. Vending Machines are also located on the first floor. The parking garage cost $ 10 a day but its worth it.
