My wife and I’ve been to the Pike many times over the years, but mostly for drinks or karaōke. It’s a fun, neighborhood feeling dive bar with friendly wait staff and mostly local patrons. They’ve made some changes to the place over the last year removing some booths and replacing them with tables and it has a very open bar feel. There are still a few booths left though. Earlier this week, we decided to try the food for the first time. I had a mushroom swiss burger and my wife had a fried chicken salad. The burger was thicker than I was expecting, the bread was incredibly fresh and my entire meal was quite pleasing(and filling). I enjoyed the sandwich much more than I thought I would. That said, my wife’s salad was a bit bland for our taste. The chicken could have done with a bit of seasoning(just something to add to the flavor) but the salad was loaded up with chicken so there is a balancing out taking place there I guess. Overall, a good experience and the food hit the«comfort food» moment I was looking for quite well. I’ll try more of their menu over time.

We were looking for somewhere to sing karaōke on a Friday night, and this place has some great reviews, so we decided to swing by. We really like the bar — it has a very open layout, but there are several places to sit if you prefer a little more privacy. I believe they serve food, but the kitchen was closed at the time we were there. The drinks were reasonably priced — not the cheapest I’ve seen, but pretty average. I was a little annoyed by the staff. They were friendly enough, but when I asked if they had any fun house drinks, I was sort of scoffed at, and the bartender seemed annoyed. She spent most of the time we were there chatting to a friend, which I normally don’t mind, but it made her seem very aloof and unwelcoming. The karaōke crowd were pretty cliquey, too. Everyone sang surprisingly well, but I got the feeling that newcomers are judged and talked about. We felt like they didn’t want us there, which made us more determined to stick around and get our songs in(which took forever, as we were frequently skipped over). Karaōke is supposed to be a fun playing field-leveler, not a scene from Mean Girls. I’d love to check this place out on a different night, perhaps earlier in the evening when the kitchen is still open. It would be a really cool space for live music — not sure if they do that there or not. There are pool tables, too, which is always fun. I won’t be returning there for karaōke, though.

Friends from Glendale and Wyoming suggested we take the post-party from a high school class reunion to The Pike. The night was a Friday night; time was about 11PM; it was karaōke night. Fascinating! The Pike would certainly qualify as a dive bar. Locals would fall in love with the place and quickly for all that it offers. Those who jumped in on karaōke for the most part were experienced crooners. Some really blasted out the vocals without missing a beat or singing off key. Yeah, there were a few fingernails-on-the-chalkboard but the person running the show had it all for singers. Bar goers even got up at times to dance. There is plenty of space at The Pike. Large bar, plenty of tables with nooks and crannys to find seats away from the main room. A pool table with high tops. Even an outdoor patio in the back(which I don’t know why but claims NOALCOHOLALLOWED). Smokers only… that was confusing. I didn’t order food but reading what other Unilocal’rs say… must be good. The drinks were poured evenly and fairly for the price. Heck, I had two double Jamesons, three pitchers of Bud Light and bought a couple beers for others and paid about $ 50 — not bad. Dive bar. Local haunt. Karaōke. Food. Friday night lights, people. I’d say try The Pike.

Great dive bar. Little shady on the outside, but lots of fun Patty melt. Grilled cheese. Wings ate great. Cheap eats as well

Best burgers in town! Fav burgers are the philly burger and black and blue… Wings great, onion rings with ranch great… And its clean. Dine indoor or out on the patio with tv and cornhole.

Stopped in for some post game grub. Sat at the bar. Bartender asked what we wanted. We asked what they had as far as beer selection. She pointed to a shelf with bottles on it. Really? Does this person think they are doing anyone any kind of bar service?

Love The Pike! As Woodlawn residents, my boyfriend and I meet here every Friday night. We’ve had every burger on the menu and the wings are the absolute Bomb. I have my weekly glass of Chardonnay that is always almost filled to the rim. The karaōke is like a small concert… from the rapping white girl to the fake Bobby Brown… The Pike is a well kept secret right in the heart of Woodlawn.

A hair on the divey side, Pike has a great location being near exactly no other bars. If you’re in this area it’s really your only choice. Service is always on top of it, I’ve never had to wait more than a minute for a drink. Decent place to watch MNF or a National Championship game. Never too crowded. Patrons are sociable and not discriminating. Beers are reasonable.

I was told about Pike Bar & Grill by a good friend and so I decided to try it. This was about two months ago. Well since then I am a regular on Saturday night for the most amazing Karaōke. The talent that sings there should be on America Got Talent. Everyone of them are fantastic and Wendell the DJ gets the best of the best. If you are looking for good time and want to be entertained them The Pike is the place to be.

How have I not reviewed my beloved Pike yet? Ok beloved might be pushing it. But this place is… it’s really kind of hard to describe. Yeah there’s a bar full of regulars, but there’s families, dates, obvious new to the area folks, I mean, everyone kind of. The bar itself is huge and wraps around most of the building. The bonus here is that you can bring in a huge group and sit together! There’s pool tables, keno, tons of tvs, a nice patio and cornhole, and on certain nights; kareoke and trivia! :) Their food is good, huge portions and cheap. They have pitchers during sporting events for $ 6. And their mixed drinks are strong. The service can be a little slow sometimes, you might be better off ordering at the bar, than waiting for a server. I think thats the Pike’s fault though. I only ever see 2 bartenders/waitresses on any given night. So stop out on Weds for Trivia at 7 or Kareoke on Fridays, and have a good time, no matter what you’re into!

Good drinks, Good food, Good prices. They have cheap pitchers during Reds games and NASCAR Races. They have real good bar food at great prices. Definitely a good place to go and hang up in the neighborhood.

Yeah, full regulars ready to belt their rendition of Desperado, but plenty of room for newbies. Due credit, we were impressed by the quality of some of the karaōke participants, gloves and all. The place is big, a few tvs to catch the game, huge bar($ 1.75PBR drafts too), nice big deep-fried wings. It was busy and took a while to get a drink, but if they had one more behind the bar, it would have been perfect. It was not a young crowd. It seemed mid-forties swingers dominated the place. Maybe it’s for you. Maybe it’s not.

Oh, The Pike, how many sordid and wild nights we’ve had. You are one of my faves but at this point in my life it’s hard to do a long distance thing with you. We can have the occasional fling with my boyfriend & friends every now and again, but it will never be what we once had. Your food is so enticing and the Elvis impersonator that does karaōke is hard to beat. You just have everything that a good hole in the wall should have. This decision to not be a regular was a hard one, and it’s not you. it’s me. I swear. You have perfect amount of televisions, pool tables, karaōke and so many cheap drinks to choose from. Sigh. I will miss those loving nights of grabbing the mic and wailing out my best impression of «Jewel’s, you were meant for me». It was as if I were singing it to you my dear Pike. Don’t worry there will be plenty like me who will love you just as much as I did. and still do.

Definitely a local spot full of regulars, but for a non-regular like myself I had a really great time at Pike! Firstly, any bar that has good karaōke(good = variety of genres, a fair and efficient queuing system, and a friendly DJ) is a-okay by me. The bartenders were *pretty* quick, though once the rush came they slowed down a bit. Oh, well; that is forgiveable. The prices are good, the appetizers we got were yummy(zucchini fries are a must-try!), and the overall friendliness of the place was fantastic. If it wasn’t such a drive for me, I’d go there more often!
