My friend called me one day to play on her league. She was one chica down and so I volunteered to play. I have passed this place before and always wanted to check it out. Well I wish I did it sooner rather than later! This place is awesome! They have beach volleyball outdoor and indoor! They can definitely accommodate a large tournament if need be. I lived on the beach for several years and miss it badly. I am happy to feel the sand between my Tosies once more or weekly he he. The sand is pretty soft and not rough. If you have been to Hawai’i or any beaches made from coral or volcano, you will understand. The courts are clean and well lit for evening games. The food is ok and and the beer list is short but we are here to play and not get drunk, right? :-) the staff there is really nice and there are water spickets to clean your feet, legs, body from sand. This place is awesome and very easy to get to. Thank you friend for needing another chica!

The bartender was awesome! He took care of all of our needs. The bartender was awesome but, the waitress was the worst ever. Totally ignored us! We had to clear out own table and go to the bar for all of our food and drinks. We were the first table in the place and got totally ignored. Food was okay at best and drinks came in different sized cups all night. No consistency or eye for quality.

Seriously how have I never known of or heard of this place before!!! Came on a semi-early Friday afternoon during Burger Week upon a friend’s suggestions. Reading the reviews on Unilocal does not really give you a real good indication of this place as far as food/the bar goes. All people talk about is volleyball and I kind of figured the food would not be all that great. The location was very unique to me. You drive past a number of different things and you probably ask yourself if you are in the right place. Golf course, volleyball courts, a marina! I finally pulled to the back and was still confused on where to go and where I was. Thankfully I had a friend to lead the way. She explained that in addition to sand volleyball, there is also a pool… I was still super lost about this place. Walking in, the place felt more like a swim club that had a really expansive poolhouse/clubhouse. Beside the pool was a pretty large deck with tables that we later found out has a band that plays on Friday evenings. We opted to eat inside as all of the shaded tables were taken. Our server came over right away. With it being Burger Week we all opted for the California Burger and we each added seasoned waffles fries. I also ordered a Sangriarita which was frozen margarita topped with sangria. The burger was like perfection. It tasted like it came fresh off of a legit grill, not fried or any other version of cooking a burger. The beef was fresh, the toppings fresh, and the lime mayo was a perfect addition. The Sandbar was a great experience. First timers may feel like they’ve stumbled into a swim club and you need a membership to be there but it’s really quite a unique place. We noticed lots more people on the volleyball courts and they also have cornhole! I’m impressed.

I play in a volleyball league here and the service is great. They have 10 awesome sand courts that are taken care of well and cheap buckets. The service is better than average and I just get there is a friendly vibe in the air. They have an outdoor bar that is convenient but also a bar inside for your basic bar food. I havent had the food yet, but a guy on my team did and said it was good. Great place to come on a sunny day with friends.

I love playing volleyball here! The location on the river is convenient and they have about 7 courts with a bar in the center. Most of the time they have leagues playing so it makes it difficult to go there and play pick up games with others.

I’ve got to agree with everyone else who said that The Sandbar feels like you’ve taken a step out of Cincinnati. We play there on Thursdays in the Coed volleyball league that CSL puts on. It’s always been fun. The crowds are good, drink prices are reasonable, and the food is better than I expected. I’ve come a few times on Sunday afternoons when the weather is nice. You can rent a court for $ 10 for the hour! I’d definitely recommend checking this place out if you like sand volleyball or if you like drinking while watching others play sand volleyball.

I feel like I have been truly missing out on The Sandbar. I have been playing sand volleyball in a leagure here for a few weeks now and I have loved it. The atmosphere is awesome with 10 or so sand courts and an outdoor bar. There is also and indoor restaurant and bar although I have not ordered anything from there. In my limited experience the Sandbar seems like an awesome spot to relax with friends and play some volleyball. I will definitely have to check it out on a weekend to get the full experience.

The staff is excellent and extremely accommodating. Their party spaces are great for groups of all sizes. I highly recommend their pig roast party. The chef is outstanding and the wait staff is on top of things. Great venue– whether it’s for a party or just to hang out for food and drinks. I’ve been there for both occasions and had great times. The volleyball courts out front are a blast and the views of the river on the back patio can’t be beat.

I live in Miami but went here for a friend’s bday party during December. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We went there the day of the event during the day to decorate the place. The owner was day and he was extremely helpful, and allowed us to move stuff around to please our style. It is located in a beautiful marina and the area is gorgeous. Prices are incredible(again, I live in Miami, so I was left in a state of shock when the check came.) I am really looking forward to visiting again, but this time during the summer so I can enjoy all the amenities Sandbar has to offer!

I celebrated my 30th birthday at the Sandbar on December. It was perfect! The Sandbar closes for the winter season and they open for private events. It is just the perfect venue for what I wanted. I wanted my guests to have a good time and at the same time have a night out in a great bar. They could play pool if they wanted, dance to the music or just chill with a drink by the spacious bar they have at the Sandbar. The team at the Sandbar were great and we planned everything through email with Laura and Greg. Laura is the event coordinator and she will respond promptly to every request. They have great packages to fit your budget. The bartenders at my birthday were perfect, they were very nice and seemed like they were having fun too! I love the outdoor area, the entrance had beautiful Christmas lights and you can decorate the main room to whatever you want. We changed the setup so that we could have more space for dancing and it was perfect! One of my main wishes was that it was easy for my guests to get there and park. Sandbar is a perfect spot right on the Marina with a private entrance and has parking spaces right in front of the main entrance. I recommend the Sandbar for any private function and if you are just looking for a really good time after winter this is the spot. We also go and hang out there once it reopens and its always a good time with great option to eat while you have a cold one.

I planned a surprise 30th birthday for my girlfriend at Sandbar. We live in New York, but all of her lifelong friends live in Ohio. Laura Hughes from 4EG was extremely helpful in my planning. She helped me pick a menu including food and drinks that fit my budget in the Riverside Room. I met the owner, Greg, during the course of the evening and he was very nice and sociable, and remained present as the night went on to be sure I was happy, and that my guests were having a great time. Our Waitress Mikaela(sorry if I butchered the spelling), was extremely attentive and made sure none of our guests had an empty drink in hand. All in all, this was a great experience with the venue and I would do it again in a heartbeat! =)

Go there for the beer and volleyball! The food is just ok and the service is slow. If you are eating order the waffle fries. Just be prepared to wait 30+ minutes as the manger feels this is acceptable when questioned.

So this is a great place for sand volleyball, or have a beer and watch the volleyball action if that’s more your speed. Keep in mind most online maps seem to have the location off by a bit, as a gps device and an iphone dropped two of our group near a different bar, so just drive until you see the Sandbar sign. Follow the long, long, long driveway, and you’ll be at a magical place of sand, suds, and spiking… you can almost whiff the ocean…

Sandbar was familiar and strange to me, all at once. It reminds me of a summer vacation that I never took, at a cabin on a lake with ten of my closest flip-flop wearing buddies and a bucket of ice cold American lager. We had trouble finding the place, and were surprised to find it relatively packed on a Saturday afternoon. I was out of place in a dressier skirt and flats. Open-toed shoes are key at Sandbar. There was a blue can of Bud Light at nearly every table. One group on the deck had brought in a store bought birthday cake. The place is in serious need of a dusting, but otherwise is reasonably clean and inviting. The menu is much like that of a chain neighborhood bar type place. Our seasoned waffle fries were exactly how they should have been — warm, kind of greasy and served in a plastic red basket with a side of ketchup. It only felt right to wash them down with a Corona — served with lime, of course. I can imagine that I’ll go back to Sandbar, and anyway it’s a lot closer than any cabin on the lake that I know of.

I tried out Sandbar as part of an exploration adventure! … What? Sometimes you get gripped by the spirit of the unknown and just have to go with it. Sandbar is one of 4EG’s establishments and I like their other spots a lot(Righteous Room, Lackman, Keystone, etc.) I figured this one might be fun to check out too. Plus, it’s right on the river and, honestly, I love watching the river with a beer. There may be no more relaxing an act. Sandbar’s a little tough to find. It’s down the road from Adonis, but then right near the pier. Keep an eye out for signs and then take the long road that leads to a parking lot. Sandbar is on the left side(with the marina is on the right). Once we found it, I was ready to rock. As soon as I walked in though, it became clear why I’d never heard of this place(besides the fact that it’s tucked way down in the neighborhood of California.) I had to be the youngest person in here by far. By far, by far. The crowd was almost entirely people in their 40s to 50s, all laughing, drinking, eating, etc. Not that there’s anything wrong with people in their 40s or 50s, mind you, I just was out of my element. Still, that only lasted for about three seconds. Once I got a beer in hand, I was good to go. Sandbar is a smallish bar with one room and a few tables scattered around. Still, it’s lively and fun. And there is indeed a beautiful deck that looks right out onto the river. Perfect. They also have a nice selection of bar food that’s reasonably priced. We got a basket of fries that was warm and crisp and pretty damn good. A good experience all around. I don’t think Sandbar will ever become my permanent hangout, but it’s certainly nice to know it’s there.

Great place for sand volleyball! Adjacent to the Four Seasons Marina, the Sand Bar has a swimming pool, seven sand courts, an outside bar and restaurant, corn hole, pool table and big screen TV. There are also picnic tables for viewing if you’re not participating. Open at 11 a.m. each day during the warm season, you can sign up online for volleyball or corn hole events or tournaments. The place is also available for special events.
