Vibe is kind of like a jersey diner. Cheap food but good. I had the chili. Very unexpected as it had no beans and was a bit on the runny side. It wasn’t bad though. It is a good place for a quick bite. I probably wouldn’t come back the next time I’m in town or pick something else.

Record scratch. The Squirrel has a special that’s a goetta grilled cheese. Couples with their tomato basil soup… you’ve got a delicious winter lunch. It comes with pickles and a bag of chips on the side. All of this is yours for the price of $ 6.49(tax included).

I was in Cincinnati for MLB All Star Weekend and when they were having the parade showing all of the players, I was STARVING so we decided to go this place. Food: I ordered ham and Swiss on rye(not toasted) and it came with a pickle and I chose the kettle chips(also pretzels and normal chips). This was literally the most delicious sandwich I had ever had! It was phenomenal and I ate it in less than 10 minutes. My dad ordered a small bowl of chile and a chicken sandwich(I can’t remember exactly what it was called). He really enjoyed this meal as well Service: Our waitress was very cool. Very good at serving us! Atmosphere: It was a small place with a cool vibe. I really liked it! THISPLACEISAMAZING!!! 6⁄5 stars

This place wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t my favorite. I had their special, which was a chicken cordon bleu sandwich, chips(expired) and a cup of chicken & wild rice soup. I can’t say that I was thrilled about the taste of any of the food, but I am willing to give other options a try.

Great place for a quick and cheap lunch! They have deli sandwiches, salads, chips, chili and more. The Squirrel is an easy choice for lunch and their service is fast. You can dine in or grab your meal to go. They also take orders by phone so your meal can be waiting for you when you arrive.

Excellent place. Two of us had lunch on Tuesday and it was 75% full. Customers order at the counter, then sit down while the food is delivered to their table, and pay at the register. It’s a shame that cheeseburgers are only served on Tuesdays because it was delicious. It looks plain and ordinary but the taste really delivered. The cheese and meat went well together. It was served at a perfect temperature. It seems like some seasoning is put on the meat, which enhances the flavor. The bun tasted surprisingly good. The cheese coney from Empress Chili was on par with Skyline Chili’s cheese coney, which I enjoy. Everyone was very nice. The Squirrel has a feel of community, where the owner knows each customer.

I had a gross salad here with moldy old cheese. The place is a dump and the table was sticky and gross. The wait was long and the food was bad. I know that it was probably just a combination of bad things that isn’t typical but I won’t really see myself returning to this place. Sorry!

I eat at the squirrel every weekday for lunch. This is for two reasons: it is located in the same building as where I work and because their food is good. I usually get the turkey sandwich now with pretzels but I use to get the turkey — roast beef double decker. There was also a two week period where I got their pulled pork sandwich which is delicious. On Fridays they have a fish sandwich which is also good. If you want a delicious sandwich with quick friendly service the squirrel is a good choice.

Okay, the sweet tea was sour and the tuna/pasta plate had way too much pepper. My only regret is I got this order To-Go, or I would have sent it back. In summary, the prices are too high for what you get, but the employees are friendly, and the place appears clean.

In addition to traditional sandwiches and salads, The Squirrel just recently began serving up Empress Chili, which claims to be «Cincinnati’s Famous Original Chili»(since 1922). I won’t go into an in-depth comparison with Skyline Chili, but suffice it to say that I enjoyed the chili and it’s definitely worth a visit if you haven’t tried it. They offer sit-down dining or you can order to-go at a separate counter. Very good price and delicious food. I look forward to returning.
