I really love Tom n Chee and was so happy to find that they put one in right up the street from where I live. The food is amazing, its very clean, and the service is fantastic. Now, I would go there almost everyday to eat. But, every time I go in there I hear employees in the back using profanity. Worse than that there’s one specific individual a short mixed man with tattoos, who I always hear discriminating against women. Whether it’s using the«B» word or yelling at female co-workers. It’s absolutely ridiculous and because of that I won’t bring my family there. Isn’t this supposed to be a family restaraunt, geared towards kids?

Went here for the first time for lunch a couple weeks ago. Food was okay, but service was less than wonderful. The people in front of us in line were taking forever to order, and then when they were done and we stepped up to order, a girl opened a second register to take the order of the people behind us. She was just standing around, she could have opened that register way earlier. The staff seemed very disengaged. They were all gathered around a laptop computer in the back watching some sort of sport game or something. Meanwhile the eating area was in a rather disgusting state. There was hardly anyone in the place, but there was not a single clean table, and several of the seats were dirty, as was the floor. I will say that my west side grilled cheese with goetta and a fried egg was delicious. But no matter how good the food is, if your eating area is dirty and your staff is not more service oriented, I can’t give you a good review. Although this place is just down the street, I’m not sure I’ll go here again anytime soon.

WTH. Crazy menu that is very hard to read. Ordered 4 of the cheaper versions of sandwiches and soup for 2 adults and 2 kids… FIFTYDOLLARS! !!! I had to walk out. Went to another place. I found the place to be comical. Won’t be back.

Friendly service and good food. Ordered the bbq+bacon, a side of mac+chee and a s’more. The grilled cheese was more of a sandwich melt, but that’s okay with me! I was hoping that it wasn’t going to be a drippy cheese mess anyway. It was a tad dry, but had a good amount of filling and was tasty. The side of mac+chee was good, but I felt like the pepper overwhelmed the flavor too much. The s’more grilled cheese donut was interesting. I loved the mascarpone and marshmallow, but, overall it was so sweet that I had to share or I couldn’t have finished it. I will definitely go back to try more items though :)

The food is awesome! Price isn’t bad either. Highly recommend the blueberry blue grilled cheese donut!

I don’t know what it is about this place but I have been twice and don’t care for it at all. First time, I got the blt+chee. Sounds great because I love a good blt so I thought it would be great. However, the bacon was more like bacon bits, sorry but I want full strips of bacon, why is that so much to ask? And the sandwich was so greasy. My husband asked if I wanted to split a grilled cheese donut with him but I was so turned off from the sandwich that it didn’t sound or look good. Second time. I got the grilled Mac and cheese and a side of the classic tomato soup. Again, super greasy. I ended up taking a fork and eating the Mac and cheese and leaving the soggy bread. The«soup» to me, is not soup. It’s more like a can of puréed tomatoes and that’s it. Husband again wanted a donut so we decided on «the King», peanut butter and banana. Not what I would have chose but I knew I wasn’t going to eat much of it. It was okay, not the greatest thing in the world. I think next time someone/my husband suggests Tom+chee I am just going to pass. Maybe I am ordering the wrong things or maybe I’m just not into this place. Also, it’s a little expensive for grilled cheese. 2 grilled cheese, 1 soup dipper(sauce cup filled with«soup»), cup of soup, 1 soft drink and 1 donut for $ 25.

We stopped in about a week after open and it was well worth the wait! There isn’t anything quite like a grilled cheese, especially ones this good! It was much that I didn’t even have room for a s’more donut, but I guess that just means I’ll have to make another visit!

I’ve been to other Tom and Chee’s but this was my first time at this new location. It’s crazy colorful and bright inside ;) Went after church on Sunday, about 12:30 — no one in line. I pretty much knew what I wanted — my favorite, the armagoetta. My daughter ordered the Tom and Chee and we both got a dipper of creamy tomato basil soup. Our sandwiches only took about 5 minutes — super fast! The sandwiches were both beautiful and tasty!(I quit going to the newport location because their sandwiches started getting sloppy and not very good) My only complaint is that my sandwich was supposed to have cherry peppers(a sweet spicy) but my sandwich had jalapenos on one side(odd!) I love both but on this sandwich, prefer the sweet heat. But the goetta, cheese and bread were perfect. I always think the soups are just okay — I would never order a full cup or bowl. Just the dipper. I wish much success to this location!
