Tonight we went to the Top of the Park for a drink. We were with an elderly lady who had never been before. The rooftop is not handicap accessible but we managed to get her up there taking our time on the steps. She was hungry and asked to order food — we were told the rooftop was closed for food but we could order something downstairs. Steve proceeded to go downstairs and order — brought the food back up for our guest only to have the waitress come over and tell our elderly friend she could not eat the food we ordered downstairs on the rooftop — and she needed to leave to eat it. I escorted her down the steps where she ate the food in the hallway on the 10th floor. I asked to speak to the manager and wanted to understand the policy and the reason behind. He said it was to keep the venues separate and keep the elevator traffic to a minimum. I suggested there were many ways they could have handled the situation better -.he told me rules were rules. I told him I was a frequent guest and lived next door in a condo where many residents frequented the hotel. I asked again for him to consider making it right — he told me to do what I needed to do. Terrible example of management — very disappointing — I won’t be back

When this venue opened two years ago it was a fabulous spot for food, drinks and a glorious panoramic view of Cincinnati. I gave it a five star rating. Last summer, when I went for an event for a downtown organization I belong to, we had been told that they served food and were prepared to accommodate our group with food and drinks. We got there and were told that they were no longer serving food. That was disappointing to all of us and we left. Last night, having heard that they were serving food this summer, a group of my friends and I went. We got there and ordered drinks, and asked for the food menu. We were informed that they stopped serving food at 8:00. We arrived before 8:00, and tried to order food at 8:03. We were told to go downstairs to their bar and order food. We did as told, but when we brought the food back to the rooftop bar, a young server informed us that take-out orders were not allowed on the rooftop and I was asked to leave and take the food away. I did as told, and stood on the tenth floor, in the hallway, eating my food. A manager was summoned to discuss the situation, but his response was flimsy and confusing, giving little credibility to what the food policy is. Our group has vowed to never frequent Top of the Park ever again. It was a humiliating experience for all of us.

A must see on a clear day with good weather. You get great views of downtown and the river overlooking Kentucky. I saw a bunch of coal barges meander down the river which was interesting to see. They have heaters and a firepit if it’s a little cool but as a native Floridian I’d skip it during the winter. Beer selection is pretty good but you’re really here for the view.

Beautiful view, delicious drinks, fun people. The Park Mule is subtle but strong. The ambiance is great for after work drinks and light snacks. Sangria is the way to go when ordering for a big group. Make sure you bring your sunnies and have a great time !! Will definitely return.

Worth a visit. I have eaten or had drinks at Top of the Park three times and it’s consistently excellent. The menu is brief but you can tell a lot of effort went into it. The bartenders are always cordial and quick. The views are amazing and the furniture is noticeably nice and comfortable. I’m looking forward to going back to Top of the Park.

Very cool spot for drinks and small bites with a fantastic view! The first three times I tried to go here they were closed for private events, but now they’ve expanded and seem to be open to the public more often. The view is breathtaking, worth the trip alone. There are a variety of seating options from high top tables to couches around a fire pit table. Great spot!

If I was rating the view, it would be five stars. What a great view of downtown and it was fun to show off to an out of town friend. But, outside of that, it’s a decent bar, at best. The drink I ordered was on the weak side and two beers and cocktail were pricey, compared to other places. I know it has the view to distinguish itself but I wouldn’t come back very often without more than the view as a selling point.

Great view and fun atmosphere, but that’s where it stops. The wait staff was unable to manage walking through the crowd, so our table was rarely served. They were also rude on more than one occasion to more than one in our party. When we were served our drinks were hurriedly made and so bad we had to send them back. If you are looking for food, the menu is very limited. Light appetizers at best. However, the Saratoga chips were delicious and the olives are amazing! Overall, pretty place, but not worth a return.

This place is AMAZING! It has such a great view of the whole city and they have great drinks. The atmosphere is fun and the music is great. If I could give the view 10 stars I definitely would! This hidden gem is definitely a must see for people new and old to the city. It has two floors, one with a view of the Great American Ball Park. Plenty of tables and seats for everyone! I got the pop-tail, which was tequila and a pineapple Popsicle. If you like fun, fruity, and original drinks I would definitely recommend it. They’ve got a full bar though, so it will plead everyone!

A friend & I checked out this spot last night for post-work drinks. We got there around 6 pm, and it was pretty busy already. The bar selection is pretty standard. The service was slow, but the view of the city cannot be beat! Top of the Park is a must-see spot at least once, but still remains a hidden treasure, mostly unknown by most Cincinnatians.

Good beer selection and spectacular view. The only negative is the limited menu. Went to the Phelps bar on the first level and was surprised by how good their bar food was, but up top they don’t carry the same menu.

Oh well… Very nice place, nice view, cozy fireplaces. However, the music is so loud that you have to scream to the person next to you, letting alone the bartender. Cocktail list is very short and the house lemonade with vodka, their signature mix, was simply not tasty and not even pretty. My husband wanted a beer and the beer selection is really limited, very disappointing in a city with such brewing tradition! Overall, good place not a good menu.

THISPLACE. I’ve worked downtown for HOW many years and am just now hearing about it? Judging by the packed crowd right at 5:15(it opens at 5), it felt like I was the last one in the city to hear about this GEM of a rooftop bar, but I still think it’s one of Cincy’s best kept secrets.(I secretly hope it stays that way so I don’t get packed like a sardine next time I’m there!) Let’s start with the obvious: THATVIEW. Forget 21c’s rooftop — THIS is the place to see our beautiful city in all its glory. And, not only can you see it from 12 stories up, but you get TWO levels to do so. From the fire pit to the cushioned seating and flatscreen TVs, the atmosphere made me feel like I was anywhere but Cincinnati, and the cocktails backed that up. I only wish they had happy hour specials(only deals are down in the lobby bar, smart move because who ISN’T going to pay $ 10 for a cocktail with THAT view?). But let’s be honest, even regular priced drinks won’t keep me from coming back. In fact, I’ve already planned my return trip for next week. Because… duh.

If you want to have a drink outside and enjoy the weather, this bar can’t be beat. The views of the city and the river are second to none… it’s simply gorgeous. They have two bars on different levels, with tables and comfy couches. Service is friendly, and the specialty cocktails are delicious. The only downside is that it is a bit expensive… so plan on having one or two drinks and enjoy them slowly. If you’re looking for a great rooftop bar, this is your spot.

I was super excited when I found out our hotel had a rooftop bar. It was a gorgeous, warm fall day and I wanted to take in the view before heading out to a dinner party. We were lucky to snag a table after only a short wait and I happily sipped on my(strong!) cocktail while soaking in the last bit of sun. The view was awesome and made me excited to be in Cincinnati for the evening. The crowd was sophisticated and ambiance was lovely. Our bartender and other service professionals we encountered were friendly and on top of things. Cocktails were in the $ 10-$ 12 range(as I expected for a hotel) and there was a small plate menu, but we weren’t there for food so didn’t even give it a glance. I would definitely love to visit again!

When I was told I was going to a bar with a view, I didn’t realize I was going to a bar with *the* view. And how does this place only have eight reviews!!!(Well, nine now.) But I suppose that’s a bit of a good thing. If more people knew about this awesome spot, it wouldn’t have the same«hidden gem» quality that it does now. Perched atop the Marriott, Top of the Park has fabulous views of the river, bridges and Northern Kentucky. I hear it’s hit or miss if the bar is open to the public or being used for a private event — so calling ahead is a must! Luckily it was open when I was in town, and we found lots of lounging areas to better view our surroundings with. There are high bar seats and tables and then cushier chairs with umbrellas to protect from the rays. I ordered a cucumber cocktail that was the special that night, and it hit the spot in that it was super summery and fresh. It was also a hair on the expensive side, but that wasn’t too surprising for how high-end this spot feels. I didn’t get to try the food, but I definitely will on a return trip — of which I hope there are many!

This is a Cincinnati hidden gem(not for long, I’m sure). We were the first wedding ceremony on the rooftop here in May. The wedding ceremony & reception were perfection! The staff was attentive and helpful even though this was their first wedding & there were some kinks to work out. Everything turned out exactly as I had hoped thanks to Leigh and Ellery. The Residence catered a variety of pasta & salads with a few butlered appetizers immediately following the ceremony. We selected the 3 hour open bar. The photographer we hired had a field day with the views. Every angle was better than the next. Our evening covered all types of lighting. We started the ceremony at 6:00 pm with daylight, rolling into sunset views and then into moonlight with city lights. Views of the river, bridges, the stadium and Mt Adams don’t disappoint. If you are in search of a unique space for a small wedding /reception, look no further. Atmosphere: 5 stars Food: 5 stars Staff: 5 stars The View: 10 stars! The only negative was their sound system. They don’t have a microphone available for toasts /speeches. The speakers even when set at the highest volume are still pretty quiet. The best man /maid of honor speeches weren’t audible to most of our guests. We didn’t hire a band or DJ and opted to connect our iTunes library to their sound system. It was a bit too quiet to get people dancing, making this the only detail I would go back and change. That said, I have no complaints. The venue is new and it’s evident with their attentiveness and concern for our /our guests happiness that this minor detail will be corrected. For those of you not looking to get married… visit the rooftop & have a couple drinks, appetizers and soak in the view. They are open to the public, but call in advance because their times /days change based on any special events. We spent a couple hours here before we went to the Opening Day game, left the car valet’d at the hotel then walked to GABP. Couldn’t have been easier.

I hate to do this… two stars??? Blah. The only reason I do this is because of the outrageously long wait to get up, even though we called literally 10 minutes before arriving to make sure there wasn’t a wait. The friend I went with told me this has happened 5 times to her; one time her friend was actually STAYINGATTHEHOTEL and they wouldn’t even let her up just to see the view and come back down. It seems to me that they are just too rigid in their rules; however, I understand needing to cap the number of people you let up. But they need to figure out a better way to manage the number of people wanting to get upstairs. When we finally got upstairs, the view was everything everyone had promised. Breathtaking 360 of the city. We both loved the coctail we got(sorry, I can’t remember which one it was) and the service was great. Definitely a place I’d love to spend more time at, but unfortunately because it’s so hard to actually get upstairs I doubt I will go back. Especially since you’re basically stranded their since nothing else is around to walk to and pass time. I’ll end on a positive note. I really hope they fix the issues I mentioned above, because this place is absolutely gorgeous and the best view of the city I have seen.

Well, when you go to a rooftop bar, you can expect a few things, and Top of the Park delivers. Moderately high prices(cocktails in particular), a chic atmosphere with some people trying very hard to impress and possibly find their sugar daddy, and a great view. I’m right there with Dolph’s assessment and had pretty much the same experience. Service was a little on the slow side, but it was packed and they were possibly understaffed. Out of the 3 cocktails I sampled: white sangria, some kind of lemonade, and vanilla vodka marshmallow drink; the vanilla drink was the crowd favorite. My group shared the cheese plate which was yummy and complimented the drinks well. So, if you’re wanting a special night out and are prepared to spend a little extra, you will find TotP a great spot. The view and the people watching will be entertaining and the drinks will hopefully deliver a powerful punch.

Writing an update to let everyone know that this incredible rooftop bar is now open to the public Tuesday-Saturday. However, they do host a ton of private events so please call beforehand to make sure they are open. Still one of my favorite hidden gems in the city!
