After discovering and following Unheardof on Instagram and often seeing shoes and sometimes clothing I liked, I finally stopped into the shop. Now I wish I had known about them years ago! But that probably would have cost me a lot of money over the years. A specific pair of shoes brought me in and even though they didn’t fit the way I liked I quickly found another pair. I ended up purchasing a nice pair of brown leather Nikes. The selection of shoes consists of skater and hip hop style sneakers from brands like Vans, Nike, and Adidas. They appear to carry limited edition styles from all the brands. Before I left the store I looked around at some of the clothing. There were t-shirts, hoodies, jogger pants, and jackets that followed in the same athleisure style as the shoes. There was even a small discount section in back where I found an awesome Alpha Industries flight jacket for half off. As soon as I tried it on I knew that I couldn’t live without it. They carry both men’s and women’s merchandise, however, the selection for men is noticeably larger. The women’s selection is similar to men’s in both brands and styles. Unheardof also has it’s own brand of clothing. I noticed that one section of the wall was covered in skateboards so I assume those were for sale as well. The store is clean with a hip boutique feel and lots of colors and open space that feels welcoming and makes it easy to shop. The employee that helped me was nice, helpful, and polite. I had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Super chill place with some super dope shoes and clothing! They always have the newest hard to find shoes at box or below box price. Owners and staff seem super friendly and are always helpful. Can’t beat this place! Check them out on Instagram and twitter at unheardof, they always keep updates on what items they have in stock and what they’re getting

Unheard Of is one of the few places that manages to feel like a cohesively curated lifestyle shop(see also: High Street, Brush Factory). I think one of the co-owners is a designer, so that’s relatively unsurprising. What IS surprising is that a little corner of 4th Street feels so Williamsburg-ish. THEVIBE: A light, modern space filled with electric candy-colored art and clothing. Hipster skateration with a little hip hop thrown in for good measure. YOU’LLFIND: Men’s and women’s apparel and accessories, including tees, jeans, and a huge selection of sneakers. The original art is for sale, too. MYFAVORITES: I’m a girl(duh), so I liked the colorful cotton tees and hoodies – perfect for when I feel more B-girl than Balenciaga. I rarely wear sneakers, but I’d rock the hell out of those purple and orange New Balances Michael was talking about… IF they carried more women’s shoes! INSIDESCOOP: New arrivals are posted on the website and Twitter. Sign up for email updates to find out about special events, like live music in the courtyard.

I found Unheard Of when I was searching for those limited edition badass Star Wars sneakers. They were the only ones who were carrying them, and so, I stopped in. This store is a two-room alternative clothing shop … and when I say, alternative, I really mean stuff that skaters would wear. They’ve got the top-notch crazy sneakers, Nikes, Adidias, New Balance, what have you in one room and the skaters shirt and hoodies in the other. They’ve got crazy artwork on the wall that’s sort of street graffiti with a message(like little kids wearing gas masks). It’s the kind of thing that makes you take a step back and look at it again. Very cool.(There’s also a life-size Yoda statue in the window to celebrate the Star Wars shoes, which is just all kinds of awesome.) Unfortunately, this store isn’t really my thing and I didn’t but anything(they were way out of the sneakers when I went). Everything also was a way overpriced, but I don’t think that’s them, that’s just how expensive these clothes are. Crazy. It’s a story worth dropping into just to check out, even if it’s not your scene.

I’ll preface this review by saying that I didn’t purchase anything during my recent trip to Unheard Of. Although I enjoy clothing and shoes influenced by skate culture, at age 31 I’m a little old to start rocking purple and orange New Balances. Still, I’m really glad to see that something new and exciting has found a home for itself downtown, especially(as reviewer Nick M. mentioned) on «an otherwise boring stretch of 4th St.» Unheard Of is a two-room boutique, with one room dedicated to T-shirts, hoodies and overpriced button-ups and another room dedicated to designer sneakers from brands like Nike, Vans and Rogue Status. Again, not really what I’m looking for. But there’s definitely a market here in Cincy for the shoes and clothing that Unheard Of sells. It’s good to see young entrepreneurs really taking the bull by the horns and building something positive that helps to give our city a little more personality. NOTE: I am blindly assuming that Unheard Of is owned by «young entrepreneurs.» For all I know the place could be owned by Rupert Murdoch, who I don’t think could properly rock purple and orange New Balances either.

A Street Pusher of Rare Goods… Unheard pf carries an interesting assortment of hoodies, shirts and designer sneakers. Very high design interior, with super trendy gear — an oddly cool place for an otherwise boring stretch of 4th st.
