A little pricey but a must stop for all your favorite Cincinnati gear. Has almost anything clothing or technology wise. Also huge selection of books for school but at a high price for most.

DONOTRENT/BUY BOOKSFROMHERE! Their return policy is one of the worst I have ever experienced. You may rent a book for a class that you eventually drop, and they wont take it back! I tried to sell the book back to them but they said they aren’t buying them back! This is a terrible organization to do business with — they screwed me out of several hundred dollars worth of books that I no longer need! I could’ve hoped for an organization that’s more understanding to the student’s needs. I will not be doing business with them again.

Great one stop shop for pretty much any UC branded apparel or merchandise. The prices are higher than I’d like, but the convenience of having everything in one spot does make up for this issue. If you are a faculty staff or student, definitely check out the software that is steeply discounted due to software licensing agreements between the big names(Microsoft, Adobe, etc) and the university. If you are faculty or staff also take advantage of the 15% discount(bring your UCID!). *Discounts do not apply to software and some other things, but they do apply to clothing, etc. Once a year there is a special day where faculty and staff get an additional 10 percent off so a whopping 25% is subtracted from your purchases. There is typically live entertainment and some decent hors d’oeuvres. The cosmetics counter looks pretty nice, although I can’t really comment about the quality and selection. It is probably a good place to pick up some good gifts for yourself or lady friends. There are a few discount sections scattered throughout the different clothing areas. Occasionally there are also bins of discount merchandise, particularly software and books. Overall staff are nice and helpful.

I don’t get my textbooks here(it’s much cheaper to get them on Amazon), but I’ve always been really impressed with the poetry collection on the second floor. They have several signed copies for sale, most of which are from local poets. It’s not all Emily Dickinson and Robert Frost, which I dig.

They staff is usually helpful, and you can get some things very cheap. As a UC student, you can purchase microsoft office for under $ 10, and you can buy things like Photoshop for much under the regular price. Aside from computer software though, most of the merchandise is overpriced, though it is comparable to DuBois Bookstore off campus. They also sell Apple computers and accessories. Books are rather overpriced, though you can rent them for cheaper.

What self-respecting college would be complete without their very own bookstore? the University of Cincinnati is no exception to the rule and finds themselves with a sprawling store directly in the middle of their brand new student union center: Tangeman University Center. TUC is the jewel in the crown of the recently renovated main street on campus and the bookstore takes up a good portion. If you’re looking to pick up your books for the upcoming quarter you can find everything you need on the bottom floor, with more peripheral needs found on the top floor. Complete with a make-up kiosk, the upstairs part of the bookstore is a strange conglomerate of anything and everything a college student could find themselves needing. Forget to bring a pen for class today? Stop by the bookstore. Did you bring your iPod but forget headphones for some crazy reason? Pick up a pair in the bookstore in between classes. As far as actual books go, I prefer DuBois, but UC’s bookstore is great for anything else you might need during the school day.

Whether you are a UC student or just a Bearcat fan, the UC Bookstore in the Tangeman University Center is a great place to shop. Tangeman is the state-of-the-art student union/center and it is just a few years old and is extremely nice. The bookstore is of course is in a perfect location for students, while it’s also in a great location if you are a Bearcat fan. The bookstore is overlooking Nippert Stadium and you may actually see some of the on-field action on Saturdays if UC were to have a noon or 1:00 kickoff(store closes at 2:00 p.m.). The bookstore is very modern and nice, and while it does supply the traditional textbooks and school supplies, it offers a lot more including novels, posters, DVDs, computer products, greeting cards, Vera Bradley and Burt’s Bees products, and even a Clinique section. The rest of the store is dedicated to mostly University of Cincinnati and Bearcat merchandise, as there is a ton of «red and black» clothing and gifts. For the Bearcat fan there are a lot of No. 5(Deonta Vaughn) basketball jerseys, other official Adidas team gear(including football jerseys), Under Armour Bearcat apparel, basketballs, and even a 2008 football team schedule t-shirt. There is plenty of clothing for not only Bearcat students and fans, but also alumni, family(i.e. UC Dad shirts), and even infants. The UC Bookstore is the place to shop for gameday items as well, including seat cushions, red and black pompoms and leis, and blankets. The store also has stuffed animals, pens, stickers and decals, and UC garbage cans, among other little gift items. The UC Bookstore stands out among many other college bookstores as it so much newer and nicer than the others on most campuses. They also have(probably) more clothing than rival shop DuBois Bookstore, although DuBois seems to have more Bearcat/UC athletics apparel than the campus’ official bookstore.
