The owner here is honest, fast, efficient and skillful. I have come to Wei’s Fashions for 3 years and will continue to come here, even though I don’t live or work near the area anymore. In fact, this is about a 35 minute drive for me now but it is worth it because it is SOHARD to find a good and reliable tailor/seamstress that won’t cost an arm and a leg. The thing I really like about the owner is that she tells you upfront what something will cost to alter. If she thinks it’s too expensive to tailor, she’ll even try to talk you out of getting the service. Where do you get that level of transparency or integrity in a business anymore?! I had the zipper bust on a collegiate cowl-necked pullover that I love. Wei told me it would cost $ 26 to fix because the zipper was so long and she discouraged me from getting it repaired and told me I should just get a new pullover. However she agreed to do the job and when I got it back it looked awesome. The zipper that Wei replaced it with somehow made the pullover look — more expensive? It was well worth the $ 26. I get office slacks and jeans hemmed, dresses taken in, etc. Wei does excellent work, she is very reliable and I don’t get sticker shock from her prices.

Is there an activity anymore risky than trying to find a new seamstress? Going to someone new without a solid recommendation from a trusted source could yield a great find or a ruined garment. So I took an LBD that I’d had hanging around for a few years on a test run. I wouldn’t have been devastated it something didn’t go right and would’ve gained an updated dress if everything went according to plan. I had a pleated hem done and I must say, it was done well. $ 20 total(ehh, maybe a little high) and a week turnaround. So there are the facts: competent work, OK price, OK time frame. Other services offered are custom-made apparel(I went during the peak of prom season, there were dresses everything) and tailoring.
