We’ve lived in the area for over 4 years but hadn’t tried the Tavern before last last fall. We are rapidly working at becoming regulars here. It just has that feel of your hometown restaurant. We’ve tried the burgers, the specials, the soups, and the salad bar. Most everything has been pretty good. It’s got a great sports bar/hometown sit-down kinda feel and that homemade food to go with it. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for good food at a reasonable price.

Bar staff is very friendly and made a nice Manhattan. Even a couple extra cherries and did not even need to ask whoop! And was left the chiller with a bit extra Trying the tater tots and broasted chicken. Tater tots were semi warm. The broasted chicken was moist(al white meat) but was posted as secret spice blend. Whatever the secret spice blend is did not taste anything other than flour. Added my own salt which I Rarely ever do do to lack of seasoning. I was expecting the actual broasted breading which would have been perfect. Sorry to my taste total lack of seasoning in the breading material. Fairly small large space with the bar seating all high tops, outside patio area as well As a smaller dining area with salad bar. Salad bar looks well stocked and tasty. All items are made from scratch across the board. I wish I could give a 3.5 but unable to due to limitations with the app.

Overall: 3.86÷5 Staff: 4⁄5 — The staff was very pleasant at this restaurant. She was courteous and checked up on us in a timely manner. She did spill a drink on the individual I was with, but she was so apologetic and stricken about the incident that I can’t even dock points off for it, it was an honest accident. Atmosphere: 3.8÷5 — The atmosphere was cozy. They have have a spacious dining area inside, a bar, and a little patio to the side. The only change I would foresee improving the place is if the patio was in the back to provide a slightly nicer view than the current one. Menu: 4⁄5 — It was easy to read and had an appropriate amount of detail to it. It doesn’t leave one questioning what the items are, or conversely, overwhelm one with choices and paragraphs about a single option. Quality of food: 4⁄5 — The quality of the food was good. They had a salad bar with fresh ingredients, and the bourbon and turkey burger I got was delicious. The fish and chips the individual i was with was also of good quality, crispy and not too greasy. We also ordered this fantastic buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer, and a vodka cranberry and Bloody Mary. It was one of the better bloody mary’s I’ve had, but I don’t think it would qualify for the top five just yet. .Price: 3.5÷5 — They were decent for the quality of the food. The fish and chips was 12.95, the burger was 9.95 which is good for the quality, however the dip was also 9.95, which, despite the deliciousness of it, I don’t think there was enough of it to justify a ten dollar charge. The liquor prices were about average I believe. 4.75 for the vodka cranberry.

Not bad. Nice size menu with a lot of different choices. Sandwiches, burgers, Jucy Lucy’s, Broasted Chicken, Appetizers etc. We were there for happy hour and sat at one of the high top tables. Ordered: Nachos Grande– pretty good and a lot of them. Spinach Artichoke Dip White Cheese Curds all good, plenty of it and fast to come out. Service was okay. Very loud inside but what else would I expect on a Friday night.

Visiting from Miami and this is a good go to its got a good staff and the food is fresh and the beer is cold. I usually stay at the Hampton up the street and it’s a quick drive, and consistent. For sure I will be coming back.

Not a place I go out of my way for but glad to have it available as a lunch option by work. However its not possible to get in and out in less than an hour because food takes some time. There is a legit salad bar available. I often order the BLT with tots or onion rings. Overall the food is good, service is on the slower side. Tip: the afternoon happy hour is a great value.

Not where you want to go if you’re in a hurry. Of all my visits, food wait time averages around 30 minutes. Even for breakfast when we were the only ones there. You’ll see your drink empty for 10 – 15 minutes before your server makes their way back over from chit-chatting with the bartender. Food quality is average for the area I suppose. Haven’t had anything I couldn’t eat thus far.

First trip to the Tavern, i liked the atmosphere — north woods pine look, very good service. The food was excellent, reasonably priced with good portions. I’ll be going back. The parking is my only complaint, but not a lot that can be done.

MILLERSONMAINREINVENTED Wow, renovations are great ! Nice and fresh and clean in here, ladies room too. I have only been here at lunchtime since the change, but I bet it is still busy at night with the exact same people that were here when it was divier. The lunch menu is perfect = lower prices and smaller portions. Quick service too. However, the regular menu is really high for what it is. A very interesting and well thought out menu. The food is good, but not outstanding. The staff I’ve seen seems to be pretty good. No complaints here, and the new bar is stunning. Well done. I don’t understand why they chose a name so similar to a very popular restaurant less than 10 miles away. The renovation makes it look better than it did prior. Food is mediocre. The ‘lucy’ was edible, but not as good as you’d expect for a Minnesota staple.

Passing through town. Wanted lunch at 10:45. Given breakfast menus, asked if we could get lunch…, no problem! Friendly waitress. 2 for 2… could the food be good too? We scored! Greatly surpassed my expectations!!! Buffalo wrap was great, not too spicy like some. Had real chicken, not a cut up greasy chicken tender! Boneless chicken wings amazing! Real chicken cut up and some sort of light homemade corn flake breading. It was amazing! I’m only sad I don’t live closer!

The Tavern on Main is a re-spin of Miller’s on Main The décor is a step up. Much nicer. The food is pretty much the same with a few new twists. The«Small Block» and«Big Block» are still on the menu. We tried the Lino Lucy. It was ok, but I’ve had better. The wife got the blue cheese version. I got the pepper cheese version. The tots were a good side. The fries were that coated style — not my favorite. If you liked Miller’s on Main, you’ll like this better. If you’re new to the area, its a newly decorated bar — with bar food.
