Some peers from work told me not to travel to Circleville Saturday by Route 23. «Take the back roads!» So we ventured on Rt. 104 to 22 and it took us about 1 ½ hours to get to Circleville. Was it worth the wait? Kinda.
Why the four stars?
1. More food vendors than you can imagine.
2. Best slice of pumpkin pie I’ve ever had.
3. Great family picture taken in front of the first place pumpkin –1375 lbs.
4. Rides for the kids
5. People watching
6. Sunshine
7. Wonderful smells
Wonderful festival. I should have tried some of the french fries and waited in line for an hour for the pumpkin donuts. Maybe next year.
