In need of a home inspection before you put down all of your hard earned money? I got the guy for you! Our real estate agent gave us his name for our new home inspection and I cannot stress enough how important having an inspector is if you are buying new or pre-​owned. Jon was amazing. Very thorough and professional. It was an education just to watch him work.
He checked out the outside of the house, the inside, the attic, ALL of the windows, ALL of the electrical outlets, smoke detectors and more. He even tested the appliances. Seriously! The man brought a pyrex cup which he used to fill with water and put in the microwave to test it out. He ran the dishwasher; he looked at things I would never have thought to look at.
The turnaround for his report was just hours and it was detailed with pictures. He went over his report with me before he left the home and the piece of mind he gave me was worth every last penny! He charges by the square footage of the home which made ours come to $ 375.00 As I said WORTH IT! WORTH IT! WORTH IT!

I hired Jon from CDE to conduct an inspection and radon test.
Jon was a pleasure to work with. He looked at every inch of the home, and explained what he saw, weather good or bad.
He had no problems answering questions, as I asked.
The inspection took longer than I expected, but that is a good thing! That shows he is very thorough in his work, and doesn’t overlook anything.
After the inspection he sat with me and went over his findings, and let me know what future impacts they will have to the home.

I’m in contract for a home as we speak, and had very little time to arrange an inspection. The two people my realtor recommended were both busy, so I ended up contacting Comprehensive Dwellings and Jon was able to meet my time table. I was initially nervous calling an inspector at random, but I got very lucky.
Jon did my inspection and radon testing. He was very thorough, explained everything very clearly and was pleasant and professional. I felt like I had a much better understanding of the house: not just the issues that needed remedying (and there were several), but also the positive attributes and general maintenance and safety recommendations. If I could just go on like four more inspections with him, I would be an expert house shopper. Best of all, when I related the details of what he checked to my co-​workers, they said they wished their own inspectors had been as thorough.
I got his report the following day, and was able to submit the Request to Remedy to the seller before the deadline. Bonus: the seller agreed to all of my remedy requests.
Jon did a fabulous job at all steps. He even was available for questions I had after the inspection, and always got back to me promptly. I found his prices to be comparable to what my realtor estimated they would be. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
