Great food and always quick service. Free popcorn available from open to lunch and daily specials that are cheaper than most fast food restaurant meals. Great atmosphere in the evenings with a full bar and occasional entertainment in the back. The chicken tortilla soup is some of the best you’ll ever find.

Saturday afternoon during college football. Here early for a private party in the Buckeye room. 10 patrons at the bar who do not know the names of the 2 girls behind the bar in conversation. Minus the jumping, I was waving my arms like jumping jacks to get their attention. Metered pourers. I was refused ½ price special for wifes drink because she was not standing there with me. Server gave me bogus patron wifi password. Buckeye room… Decent décor. Not Hall of Fame quality. More like a man cave. The set-up was proper for good flow. Long raised bench seating around the walls with high top tables and stools facing them. Nice size TV and picture. I thought the establishment was clean and open. More booths than tables. Enter from the street parking front, or alley rear. Fenced patio is nice for the smokers. Food– A buffet spread of salad and pizza was laid out for us. The two comments that were constantly overheard, soggy salad and uncut pizza. Someone obviously dressed the salad way to early and stored it until we arrived. The pizza was served on cardboard on elevated wire stands. It sounds fine, but when trying to use a spatula to finish cutting the pizza… I myself pushed a greasy weak cardboard down through the open stand onto the table, tumbling food. The server picked it up, re-plated it, re-served it. It’s puffy pizza. Crust had a crunch on the very bottom. Cheese had chewy snap back like imitation. The vegetables tasted canned or thawed. The sauce was ok. The meat pizzas left a lot of grease behind. One local recommend the buffalo chicken pizza on another visit.

Hate to seem like a snobby city slicker, but everything the six if us ordered here seems to have come from a bag or a microwave. The deep fried, foot long hotdog was good but the chili that topped it was barely edible. How do you screw up chili this close to Cincinnati? Plus, the salad dressing my wife was anxious to try… in a mass packaged pouch. Exciting! Come on, a homemade salad dressing is one of the easiest things to master. Our waiter was quite young and attentive enough, though he did mess up TWO of our orders. BTW, he was only waiting on three tables. My wife’s fried shrimp came out steamed, and one of my son’s boneless wings came bone-in. Sorry, no need to visit again. I can get prepackaged food at Kroger.

I know that most people reading this review won’t give a minnow’s fart about this place since it’s in Circleville and to most people this town doesn’t really exist unless the Pumpkin Show is going on. So I’ll make this brief. Gibby’s is a cool little sports bar/restaurant/tavern that caters to locals and the occasional visitor like myself. It’s got a really nice bar area in the back with lots of big screen tvs which is where I prefer to sit. The front of the restaurant is the casual dining area with tons of local s
