I’ve had worse pizza, but this definitely wasn’t great. Little flavor on pep and mushroom. BLT pizza was so dry it was barely edible. Philly sub is a piece of steak or hamburger, not a true philly. Service slow, took 40 mins for our order and waitress had to be flagged down for us to get refills on drinks. It’s called Gant’s now, not Gio’s anymore. We likely won’t be back.

Gio’s is terrific for what it is — a place to sit down & enjoy good food & drinks. Best place in Cville to grab a drink &/or food. They have a number of microbrews on tap.(My favorite being Jackie O’s razz wheat.) Pizza is above average. Good sauce, decent amount of toppings, above average cheese. Service has always been very good. They are usually busiest on Friday evenings, but always seem well staffed when busy. For a pizza pub, it’s definitely worth checking out when in town.

Great place to watch football, great pizza, fresh salads and nice bar staff. I’ll be back for sure. Multiple good beers on tap besides just the usual miller/coors/bud selection!
