So, last year, I used an accountant for the very first time. I owned my own business, did freelancing and had clients. It was all very messy tax-​wise and I was convinced that I could write off my entire life and then some and owe nothing (or, hell, even get some cash back from my Uncle.)
Well, no. With grown-​up job comes grown-​up tax obligations and the process was a bit like pulling teeth — out of a toddler who just got her first one in and did not want to part with it.
Bob is a good guy and he is straight shooter. He doesn’t pull any fast moves that could score you a ton of dough, but this approach will likely save your ass from ending up in white collar prison, which I hear is actually a pretty nice place to stay.
Bob, maybe this year we can fiddle with my deductions a little more? No? Ok.
