I had the almond milk tea and a coffee cream cheese bun bread. I looooove cream cheese and coffee so when I saw a bread with both, I was like hell ya! It had a coffee filling with cream cheese inside which was delicious. My almond milk tea tastes just like any other boba place. All the pastries were very cheap and big portions.

Useless Fact: IFT bakery stands for I(pronounced E) Fu Tang bakery. End of useless fact. This is a cute place and its not just a bakery, its also a café with wifi. I like coming here for the staples or as i like to call it, the usuals: *****Wife and sun cake. The wife and sun cake is really good here. Its flaky on the outside and not too sweet. The sugar to flakyness ratio is just right without being too overbearing. Don’t know what the inside is called but its some kind of sugar. Highly recommend. Perfect with coffee or tea. *****Handmade nougat. I’ve had some hard as a rock nougat that will break your teeth in half but the nougats here are soft, chewy and not too sweet. Definitely handmade and definitely fresh. I could never have just one. *****Green bean pong. I always get these for chinese new year. They usually sell them with mooncakes or individually but since i don’t like mooncakes(too greasy), i buy the individual ones. I like how its flaky on the outside and both sweet and savory with minced meat on the inside. So good with coffee or tea. Highly recommend this place for your asian bakery needs.

Delicious and fluffy bread, they have great selections and prices are fair! if you are looking to escape the confines of American quality bread and transcend into a Taiwanese European/Italian/French Provencal time/space Mashup I strongly recomendamos the is bakery. If they don’t have a selection available, request it and they will make it! Lo song bread reminds me of European and a Venezuelan/Swiss bakery bread with its fluffy/airy/eggy/buttery texture and taste. They have taro marble bread here with more taro filling than bread layering, and it’s more bread like not too mochi-esque. Any time I come staff is always friendly, attentive and cleaning. This place packs your pastry/bread in a back and includes tape so it won’t fall out.

I love their Taro/Red Bean European Mochi Buns!!! Love it, love it and love it… 100x better than 98C since you don’t have to wait in line and get the same breads over and over again…

I meant to update my review. The owner PROMPTLY responded to my post and asked who had told us no nuts for the baked good that my daughter consumed. I appreciated the willingness to find the source of misinformation.

Have a drink and meat bun while waiting for the oil change in Pep Boy. The plus thing is they provide the power outlet and WiFi. Food is just fine; I also try their sample of some bread, not impressed. However, service and environment is good. Heard that their traditional sandwich is good; maybe I should give it a try again next time.

Besides being a bakery, they also have a few tables in the back and offer a good lunch special that is reasonably priced. I would definitely go again.

So this place moved from Diamond Plaza off Fullerton to this location. Their breads are alright, though it’s pricier than it was before the move. Their service SUCKS, so don’t go there expecting smiley, welcoming greetings from the workers there. Typical Chinese service, there for the $.

Ift bakery is far more than just a Chinese bakery. They are also a Taiwanaese style café serving up soups, rice dishes, tea, coffee, and internet access. After reading fellow Unilocaler, Robert P’s hilarious review, I had to try the wife pastry. Its a flakey round disk filled with chewy white mochi. Trying to eat this without making a mess is impossible. Little flakes flutter to the ground with every bite. Like Robert, I inhaled my newly discovered treat. If you are looking for a traditional Taiwanese breakfast spot head here and try a Taiwanese egg omelet or the salty soy milk. The do it a little different over here and instead of getting a donut type cruller, chips accompany the hot soy milk. Slices of cakes go for $ 2.75 and pastries start off at around a dollar. This is an incredibly affordable spot.

*update* Rowland Heights. Not much to say since my first review, you may refer to original review if you wish. New photos don’t show up in older reviews so I’m doing an uodate. Located in same plaza as Nijiya Market and In n Out. Cutesy little place that sells yummy breads, cakes, and several dishes of food like pork chop rice or Taiwanese ham egg sandwiches for breakfast. There’s a little seating area if you’re eating here. I like to come here for fresh squeezed orange juice. You get a large for under $ 5. What a bargain. Last time I went, they had samples of breads in the case. I was sampling some while waiting for my OJ and it was good. 85C is not too far away, but I’ve been checking out this new bread place called Bread Farm near 85C at the new 168 Market which is similar to 99 Ranch Market. If you’re a bread lover, stop by when you’re in the area. And check out their lunch specials! Thanks for reading! ~*kenzie*~

Dumpling is good but the stuffing isn’t fulfilling.. The minced pork rice is still yummiest!

Being from upstate New York, my Uncle from California would always bring us back treats from this bakery. My mom especially would get very excited since we do not have anything like this at home. My favorite would be the pineapple cakes and hers the walnut tar! I just moved to LA and am going to home to visit my mom in NY and had to come out here to pick up some goods! It was worth the 45 min drive! The owner was very helpful and helped me picked things out my mom would like and would travel well! The pastries are still has good as I remember! They also have a $ 5.99 lunch special that is delicious and filling! Can’t wait to see my moms face when I give her the box of pastries!

Somehow I like the products(i.e. food) from this bakery. For a period of time, I had been coming to the bakery before I go to work to grab breakfast with their breakfast sandwich(bread, ham or pork, and egg). It was delicious to start my day. Now, I had been coming more for lunch for their lunch specials(fish or pork chops with rice, soup, and drink). I think they cook their foods pretty well. I am not a big bread person, but my wife likes their variety of breads(better than 85 degrees, where breads are baked by high school kids). Also, place is clean.

Who doesn’t like bakeries? This IFT Bakery is located in the same plaza as Nijiya Market(specifically located right next to Tutti Frutti, where you can find O’ My Buns) with plenty of parking. Anyways, there are a good amount of choices of baked goodies to pick from. You can help yourself to a tray and tongs(wished that they provided a sheet to put on the tray like 85* Bakery does. I just took out some paper towels I had in my purse and placed that on the tray because I am a fan of cleanliness). I ended up purchasing a handful of items and each were pretty affordable and perfectly made. Each item was soft baked and lightly sweetened. My favorite item that I purchased was this green tea bread with red beans inside. It still tasted just as good on the first day I bought it as it did a few days later(ate a piece each day). This bakery has a little restaurant part to it that serves cooked foods including chicken and pork chop entrée, a soup noodle dish and of course some familiar Taiwanese breakfast items as well. Maybe one day I will be able to try something from their restaurant some day. By the way, this place does take credit card but with a $ 10 minimum. Using your credit card under $ 10 will cost you a $ 0.50 charge(so bring cash as back up if you do not want to waste money on paying a fee).

I was nearby and wanted a snack and something to drink, so I thought I’d check this place out since it has good reviews. They have a nice assortment of breads and Asian snacks, but after circling around three times I just grabbed a bag of sesame chips. Why only one star? No one even acknowledged me. There were three gals working, having their own private conversation. They may have been talking about work, but I wouldn’t know since I couldn’t understand what they were saying. I should have just walked out, but I wanted to order a drink. Got to the register and didn’t even have a chance to order a drink. The gal rang up my bag of sesame chips while continuing her conversation with the other two workers. Thanks…didn’t mean to interrupt your day. Won’t be back.

I know people like bakeries for all the sweets, etc., but my bakery litmus test is the plain ol’ sliced bread. At IFT, the plain ol’ sliced bread is the best sliced white sandwich bread I’ve ever had. Features: –Good flavor(like old school Wonder bread) –Outstanding texture(very dense and soft) –Optimal size and shape(perfect for sandwiches) Again, what I like about this bread is the texture, which shows that is excellently kneaded. The cost is around $ 4/loaf. Each loaf has around 12 slices. I freeze the bread and then toast it before eating. FYI-When I run out of this bread(I live far from this bakery) I sometimes eat Kings Hawaiian sliced sandwich bread whose flavor pops more than IFT bread, but which doesn’t taste as fresh nor have so outstanding a density as this bread.
