I love eating here. Everything was delicious. The employees were so nice especially Michelle in the bakery.

I actually really enjoyed the food here. I was at first a bit confused on what to do because it was my first time here, but I got used to it. The food tastes fresh and they have lots of options. I really like the fresh drinks they have as well.

This place is good if you’re a vegetarian or simply in the mood to eat light. Place is clean. Food selections are delicious and fresh. Can’t go wrong with vegetables, variety of soups and pastries like cookies, biscuits and my all-time favorite, clam chowder. I don’t know if they have it everyday or its a soup of the day kind of thing but you have to try it if you like clam chowder. More potatos than actual clams(what do you expect) but i like potatos so its ok. At least its flavorful and creamy. Takeout is available for close to $ 10. Soup/clam chowder(charged separately) is available for takeout as well. I always get one for lunch the next day. Very convenient.

This Souplantation has its pros and cons… My family and I came for brunch on Sunday. We arrived around 11:30AM and it was crazy in there. The lines on both sides were filled and it was moving pretty slowly. This location is smaller than the one in Brea, they also don’t serve the pre-made green salads until 12:00PM when lunch begins, unlike in Brea where they already have the salads made even during breakfast. The lines for the hot foods are also longer than the ones in Brea since the restaurant is smaller. The food here also isn’t prepared as quickly, I had to wait awhile for new pizza to come out. The best thing about this place is that the soups here are piping hot, unlike in Brea where they are lukewarm. If I had to choose between the two, I would definitely go to the Brea location over this one.

Good salad and soup selection worthy of once-a-month visit. Note that they don’t have enough tables to serve or too many people come to this locqtion, so avoid taking tables near the cashier as you will be constantly asked by new customers. we couldn’t focus or enjoy our meal :(

This is a decent place to go to when you want something light. Souplantation is a healthy and vegetable based buffet. They provide lots of fresh veggies options.(well, I wish they could have provided arugula individually, not mixed with other veggies) They offered many types of soups. The clam chowder was pretty good, but it would be even better, if they cut the potatoes into smaller pieces. Their dessert was yummy too; the chocolate chips goes well with the ice cream :)

Came here on a Sunday night before the dinner rush. The salad is not bad but not great either. –Most pre-made salads are drenched with dressing and sauce that may be a little overwhelming. But the separate salad items are very fresh and clean. –The pizza bread is ok too. I just wished they put more sauce and seasoning because it tastes a little bland. TIP: I dip the bread into the soup to make it a little more flavorful. –This month is Asian cuisine month so there were a few interesting items when I went. The Sriracha Udon was surprisingly good. It tasted like a bowl of ramen(a little spicy but should be manageable to most people) –The clam chowder is the best soup in my opinion. Can’t go wrong with clam chowder but the only issue I have is that there is way too much potato in the soup. –The chocolate chip and blueberry muffins were one of the main highlights for me. The muffins were REALLY good. The muffins would be one of the key items that would make me want to come back. –Got ice cream for dessert but it had little to no flavor. I was not able to finish it because I was pretty disappointed with it. Make sure you double check your soup bowl because some of them might still be dirty. Other than all that, this place is a decent place to go to if you want to eat something light or if you’re having a post-workout meal. Meat is almost non-existent here so if you’re looking to get full off of meat, i’d recommend you go somewhere else. The plates are very small so that can help people with portion control. I would come back every once in a while but I wouldn’t really crave Souplantation but I do like the uniqueness of having a healthy buffet that is filled with lots of fresh vegetable-based items unlike Golden Corral. Highly recommend for vegetarians and those who are into fitness.

It has been a very long time since I came to Souplantation. They really made some great improvements since I’ve been here. It was very rustic chic, almost a café-like atmosphere. I like this setup much more than before. I came here on a Friday night around 8:00, just in time to beat the rush. This month’s theme was Asian cuisine. The items to try: Ginger soup: it is similar to the chicken noodle but with more flavor– aka salt. But it was very tasty! Thai pizza: probably the best thing there, aside from their blueberry muffins. Instead of tomato sauce in their pizza, they use peanut sauce. It was pretty good! Random fact: My friend spotted William Hung(the American Idol celebrity).

This location doesn’t seem very different from other locations in terms of freshness and offerings except all my bowls and plates were cleared quickly. They closed at 9 and we came in at 8:15 but the place was still packed. Even at 9 there were still a lot of people left and the cooks kept bringing out more soup! My favorite soup would have to be the clam chowder. There were so many clams in the chowder, it was nice and creamy… Yum. I added some sour cream and cheese from the baked potato station in my chili and it was just ok. The special this month is the tortellini soup which I didn’t get to try because I was so stuffed. Stay away from their sugar free chocolate mousse! I thought it was a good idea, and it looked pretty good too but it has a very weird, bitter after taste that I didn’t enjoy at all. Idk what they put in their blueberry muffins but it’s SOOO freakin good. They didn’t have any honey butter when I went, but it’s delicious on the blueberry muffin!!! I only go to soupplantation whenever I feel like I’ve had too much bad stuff to eat throughout the week. Dinner price without a drink was around $ 13. Sign up for their emails, they send out coupons all the time!

Veggie salad buffet! Great place for vegetarians to go. The first time I went here, I was a definite fan but I guess after going so often, I started to lose some of the magic. In any case, I really like to go here for their lunch. Its only $ 10 for the buffet and they have some awesome choices. It may not be the top of the line but they have a range of salads and different toppings. I usually opt for the caesar salad or the chinese salad and then some of their soups like their lentil or bean soup.

Since the last time I was here in 2014, this location has made some improvement. Considering it’s a slow Friday during lunch, the staff did a good job at keeping the food fresh and filled. The restaurant was clean as well as the restrooms. The soups were warm and tasty, and the focaccia was freshly baked. The beverage station threw me off because the Arnold Palmer and strawberry machine looked as if they weren’t working properly. The pasta lacked seasoning. On my previous review I said I wouldn’t come back but seeing the improvements they’ve made, I would come back to this location in the near future.

My favorite items are the broccoli madness and clam chowder. Every so often they will come up with new dishes that go with the season. For Valentine’s weekend they have the red velvet lava cake. I’ve had it before and it was gooey and decadent. It’s a good thing I’m working that weekend or else my sugar will be at dangerously high levels. Their drink selection is a little limited compared to the one in Monrovia. Cashiers and bus people, and during busy times the manager who’s also on hand, are nice and friendly.

For an all you care to eat salad bar, this location misses the mark. Don’t get me wrong; the food is fresh and flavorful. However, the soups, are a little under seasoned and the cold pasta is too al dente. What gives this place only 3 stars is the wait. We were standing in line, not moving for almost 20 minutes and then when we got up to the register, there was another 5 minute wait. During peak hours, like Saturday lunch(12:00 pm — 2:30 pm), they require that you wait to be seated. The restaurant was packed, so the wait for tables to be cleared and cleaned was substantial. Instead of taking names and having customers wait outside, they just keep piling people in, like cattle, and you just stand there, looking at your half made salad while other customers start to complain and vent to one another. I’ve been to other Souplantations, but none like this. Oh, and the bathrooms are dirty, too. Tsk, tsk. If you have to have salad and under seasoned soup, do it before or after the peak lunch hour or go somewhere else…

I love Souplantation but this place didn’t even have some of the seasonal items that they’ve been sending me emails about when I went there. That’s disappointing. Imagine getting emails from them about so and so promotional monthly seasonal foods that will be on their menu, then going there and expecting to see those foods that were in the menu, but then not seeing them. In their defense it was on the weekend and some breakfast items were still out on the buffet but in my defense it was actually past noon by the time we walked in so I was expecting those seasonal lunch items there. Tables seemed a lot more cramped and closer together than at the Souplantation that I usually go to. The food was good and standard at least. But I’d prefer my other Souplantation location.

Salad bar has gone downhill in recent years. Soup selection still strong, my favorite has always been their Chili(available only late fall/early winter), and chicken noodle soup without the noodle* *Yes I’m that guy in line scooping out chicken-only, leaving nothing but soggy rectangular pasta for you all to enjoy. Hot pasta station, I must say, was the game changer: 3 types of Mac & Cheese — basic Mac, Gouda & corn, &4-cheese with bacon Mac & Cheese selection was definitely the highlight of my meal. Highlight of my experience, however, was the lonely cashier working both lines. Having to put up with long lines on both side, she was efficient, polite, and handled Saturday’s post-workout-so-I-need-to-eat-a-healthy-salad-to-feel-better-about-myself crowd like a champ. Kudos to her, Souplatation you need a «We’re hiring» sign. Badly.

This souplantation is definitely sub-par, it’s often dirty and out of salad items or in the case of my last visit. out of spoons… there’s a server here who i think is latino and always tries to speak chinese to me which i find a bit weird, i don’t think he’s trying to be racist or anything but it’s just a bit weird…

I don’t know about you but after scarfing down burgers and fried up foods it’s nice to eat a bit of green once in awhile. As carnivorous as I am(meat is good), it’s nice to change it up. I have actually come to crave Souplantation. The price is not bad. If you do a quick google search before going you’ll be able to find a coupon for dinner and a free drink for $ 11.59. This coupon is available I’d say 99% of the time. If you don’t have a coupon then it’s just $ 11.59 and you have to drink water. I guess it’s not that bad cause I mean you ARE coming here to eat healthy. right? But I think healthy with a side of Coke/Sprite/Strawberry Lemonade sounds a bit better. Once you open those doors, you will see a vast endless salad bar before you. It stretches literally for miles. Here you can choose from a few prepared salads(which are good) or create your own. You can of course come back but I usually just grab two plates at the beginning and I stack em so I don’t have to journey back(sometimes the salad line gets long). They’ve got endless variety of toppings. I put so much black olives on my salads that my friends call it the olive salad. Since I’m not a big salad/health conscious individual I stack on the Broccoli/Cauliflower/Tomatoes like I’m competing on the Biggest Loser. Then there’s the many soups they offer. I usually just stick to the Big Chunk Chicken Noodle. A touch of salt and black pepper and before I know it I’ve gone through 3 – 4 bowls since I love sippin on dat broth. And yes there is Chicken in this soup so meat CAN be found at Souplantation. Besides that I love their Mac N Cheese, and I always close my meals with some swirl ice cream(topped with Oreos). By the way if you come here on the weekends for dinner it can get pretty crowded. There will be lines for the soup and finding a table might be difficult. People just love some Souplantation. The service is always great though, extremely nice employees from the Cashiers to the ones running around clearing your plates.
