Got the Chamango and the S’mores Sundae, and after looking at the beautiful pics on Instagram, I was kinda disappointed. Chamango — by itself, it would probably get a 3 star rating. It was just average and what you expect. S’mores Sundae — not a fan of, at all. The milk ice on top was just so weird, but maybe because I was really hoping it’d be creamy like ice cream, but instead it was slushy like, and of course the name tells you that, but my brain was probably just doing some psychological thing and just did not like it. The marshmallows on top were burnt, and you could taste the gas throughout the marshmallow. Aesthetically, you could probably get all the likes on your photo, but other than that, this place isn’t worth the money or stomach space. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back because there are just so many better dessert places!

Zero degrees is a cute little shop that sells ice cream sundaes and unique drink combinations. Their menu is definitely creative and unique, but I am not sure if it is worth it for the price. It was a little pricey in my opinion. We got the toasted marshmallow sundae and I believe the orange mojito. The marshmallow sundae came in a very small cup. The ice cream was just okay. The presentation was great, but not so much the flavor. My orange mojito came in a small cup as well. If they didn’t fill the majority of my cup with ice, then maybe I could’ve had more than 5 sips from my drink. They had a small box with games that you can play while enjoying your dessert. All the games were either missing pieces or it was sticky. I understand they were trying to make it a nice hangout place, but maybe with cleaner games and more comfortable chairs and tables people will be more likely to stay. Verdict: I won’t be going back. For the ~$ 10 – 12 that we spent on the sundae and drink, I don’t think it’s worth a second try. There wasn’t anything special that would get me to go back. I would rather go next door to half and half tea express and get some awesome bubble tea.

So a Monday a couple months back, I went to Zero Degrees when they first opened for the day, asked for a bottle of Matchata. They were sold out. Damn, I guess they get busy on the weekend and sell out. My bad — I told myself I better call ahead next time to make sure they have some. Fast forward to today, another Monday. I call right about when they opened up, some dude answers(I think his name was Ryan? I dunno), anyway, I ask if they have Matchata bottles in stock. He says«Matchata bottles… yes, yes we do.» after what sounded like him checking. Awesome. So I take a walk a few blocks and come in, and the dude I talked to on the phone is there, and I ask him for 2 bottles of Matchata. He says sure, then goes to the back to get them. A few seconds later he comes out emptyhanded, and I’m already thinking to myself, «Oh you’ve got to be kidding me.» Him, «Umm, yea, we’re out of the matchata.» Me: «Dude, I JUST f’ing called about them.» Him: «mmmm yea, I thought you were asking about uh, other… uh, bottles.» Me: «I clearly asked for Matchata and you clearly said you had them.» Him: «Yea, um. I thought you were talking about the… uh… bottles.» WTF is wrong with this idiot? Hey, thanks a ton for wasting my time. I mean, I called beforehand, but clearly I needed to do more to ascertain whether they actually had stuff in stock. So Cliff notes — If you’re looking for bottles of stuff(especially Matchata), do NOT come here on Mondays. They’re likely sold out, and even if they tell you they’re not sold out, they probably still are anyway.

They only have honeydew, lychee, and orange cream ice cream on weekends. The interior if the store is cute and kind if simplistic! Theres a wall with wings painted on it that everyone takes pictures of/with haha. –Strawberry mojito: on the sour side. Probably because strawberries aren’t in season right now haha! Still pretty good though! Just a little bit minty! –Matchata: this is so good! It tasted like matcha latte kind of! Slightly cinnamon-y! I would ask for less ice with this one and drink it fast. The ice makes it hard to get to all the flavor, but it tastes weird when it gets warm. Actually maybe it’s a different story if you use a straw though LOL. USE A STRAWTHEN idk nevermind. THISDRINKISYUMMYYY! I will be back soon to try some ice cream! –Milk and Cereal(capt’n crunch!!): THISISSOGOOD! It’s so cool that the bottom is creamy ice cream and the top is milk ice: D I love this! The guy working here is so nice and recommended this to me when I was indecisive on what I wanted :)

I’ve been a fan of their original location in Westminster, and I was so excited to hear that they opened a location here! This one is much larger, and they have a nice seating area where you can chill with friends. They even have a brick wall with wings painted on which is super cool to take pictures on! Drinks and desserts are consistent– tastes and looks just as good as the one in OC! This location seems to have newer items for sale such as the matchata and the coffee horchata. Service is quick and efficient, and I love everything on the menu!

This place is a huge hit in Rowland Heights and you have people driving across town to go to this place! This place used to be a Cold Stone and thank goodness they changed it to Zero Degrees because Cold Stone was not doing very well with Half&Half next to them in an asian area. I like how Zero Degrees offers unique drinks that you can’t find at other boba shops! Their drinks is dedinitely more pricey and it’s a $ 1.50 for the bottle. I do want their bottle. Matchata– which is a bit too grimy for some people, but i liked it. Not too sweet. It’s like iced green latte with some cinnamon. Strawberry Milk — real strawberry chunks, strawberry syrup and Half&half. Just knowing that it was a full cup of half and half scared me a bit, but i really liked the drink! Make sure to mix the strawberries in. Chamango Ice cream — There are many authentic places that offer really good chamango, but I like how they offer mexican desserts at this place! I would say mango chunks would really go well with this ice cream. The lime didn’t work for me. Smores Ice cream — This ice cream is BOMB! They actually give it to you with gram cracker grumbles and a toasted marshmallow!!! If you like smores, this is a must try. Potted Plan ice cream — This is a huge trend going on right now. Any it doesn’t taste like anything special, but you get a gummy worm with oreo crumbles, and it’s so cute! The huge downside of this place is the wait time. If you’re getting it to go make sure you prepare yourself for the wait after you order. Or they have a few games and a note book to write on if you decide to hang out there.

Their drinks are very unique. I got the Mangomaranod or something like that. It was good, but very… Different. The drink itself was sweet, but the mangoes were the green ones, hence sour. It also had a tangy, almost spicy taste to it. Like I said, «different.» After drinking it for a while, I started feeling sick. My friend got some strawberry drink. Now that, was delicious.(It’s not on their top 5 though). As for the environment, it’s absolutely aesthetically appealing. They have a neon sign with the store’s name on it, a brick wall with angel wings painted on it, and window seats. Overall, a really nice café look to it. Almost hipster?

Zero Degrees hits the mark on presentation but I think the flavor could get a boost. I originally came here because I am a sucker for cute packaging. Marketing gimmicks work on me always. Everyone seems to rave about the machata, but that’s not really my thing so I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba. Tea was a little watered down, however, it’s real tea so that’s a plus in my book. Boba was firm and fresh. If I had more room I would’ve liked to try the strawberry mojito drink. I bought it with the plastic bottle which was an extra $ 1.50 and the boba was .50 extra, so my total came to around $ 4(with a 10% off Unilocal check in deal). Not too bad when you factor in the novelty. Drink came out really fast, hardly any wait time. My bf ordered the chamango which I thought was a bit tasteless and too bitter for my liking. He really enjoyed it though so could be just a preference thing. The employees were really friendly and let us try different samples of the sorbets and even made us a mini chamango to test out before buying. They entertained all of our dumb questions so kudos to them for going above and beyond. Space was clean and so was the head. Bring in your bottle for 10% off your next purchase.

Coffee horchata??? Why didn’t I think of this?! Pretty good. I’m not sure how this plaza survives. 3 dessert, drink place literally attached from each other. You got pheonix dessert on one side, half and half on the other, and Zero smack middle. But hey if they like to share each others business, why not? Great little spot with friendly staff. I’m assuming this whole, «pay 1.50 extra, take home a bottle,» is a thing now. I’ll be back for some more drinks soon. I’m coming for ya mojito…

With a big smile on my face, I walked into Zero Degrees thinking I was going to have the best ever boba tea. I tried the Matchata Green Tea with Boba in a $ 1.50 glass bottle. Matchata is basically horchata(made in house) with green matcha tea. The horchata component of the drink was pretty good. Nice hints of cinnamon and wasn’t overly sweet. It definitely did not taste instant. However, it mixed with the green matcha tea threw me off. The drink had a «pasty» texture to it and the matcha overtook the horchata component. The boba was average. Also, don’t expect a plethora of add-on toppings like grass jelly, aloe, or pudding. They basically have almost«zero» topping options. Now that I think about it, the drink menu is quite limited. They also serve ice cream. I couldn’t resist, so I tried a one scoop cup of Oreo ice cream. I wasn’t expecting much, but it was really good. Decadent and smooth with bits of Oreo cookies was what I took away from it. They have other flavors such as taro and honeydew. Service was friendly and there are about 6 or so small tables inside. It’s airy, clean, and bright inside. I’ll probably come back and try some of the other flavored drinks or one of the sundaes. I’ll pass on the glass bottle next time, since I have one now.

I’ve been here about 5 times already. haha, good place to hang out with friends or family since they have a few games you can play(i.e., connect four, jenga). I’ve only tried most of their ice cream, but not so much their drinks(other than their green tea). Pros: –Unique sundaes(boba sundaeee– what??! I must have gotten it 3 times already. wish there was more boba though). –Affordable prices– about $ 3 – 4 per sundae/drink –Yelp check in offer– 10% off –Friendly staff –Allow you to try ice cream before buying –Drinks are reasonably priced, especially the green tea/thai tea Cons: –Will charge you a full sundae price even though you just want one scoop of ice cream. Brought my nephew and he wanted ONE scoop of the oreo ice cream, and was still charged approximately the same as the sundae. –Small area with limited seating. Place gets packed quickly and sometimes you may have to stand area and/or wait for a table –Sundaes are messy to eat. I wish the sundaes could come in bigger cups. Every time my niece/nephew had ice cream, it would get all over the place because the cups are so small –Limited selection for drinks/sundaes

Zero Degrees has been increasing in popularity and with such an extensive drink menu, I can see why. They used to allow you to bring your drink bottle back to get 10% off but they stopped. Service is always good; employees are always friendly. Only downside is that when it’s busy, there’s nowhere to sit and it’s all indoor seating. Parking isn’t bad considering there’s a rather large lot. All of the teas are really good! The chamango drink and dessert are also quite good but I would rather get the original from a Mexican ice cream shop.

I’m sure everyone comes here for the cute bottles. It’s always a little extra to get your drink in a pretty glass bottle. Anything for the cute pic right? We ordered a watermelon slush and it was super refreshing. It tasted like it was fresh watermelon… but watermelons aren’t in season right now, soo is it??? It was kinda hard to sip through the straw. I’m giving this place only a three stars for the lack of variety on their menu. Apparently they have cute angel wings outside the store that seem to be a good photo opportunity! Don’t think I’ll be coming here again though, nothing too special about it. Plus, there are so many boba places in LA I still gotta try.

Another ice cream /drink place in Rowland Heights — whoopdeedoo. There’s so many in this area it’s not even funny. Half N Half is just next door(and they have better drinks). Zero Degrees’ original location is in Westminster, but they wanted to squeeze their butts in the 626 area. What’s better about this location is the size. The interior is so clean and feels fresh because they’re new. Besides some old beaten up board games in the corner of the kitchen counter, everything else is IG worthy, like their angel wings wall, succulent jars, and adorable glass bottles. Despite all the cute artsy stuff, I’m not a fan of their products. Their drink menu is limited. It sucks for those who are lactose intolerant because their milk drinks are undeniable popular — matchata, strawberry milk, berry milk, coffee horchata, etc. The mojitos do not have milk, but they don’t taste good. They have a little sour/bubbly kick and need more mint. For an extra $ 1.50, you can take home the glass bottle.(By the way, the sticker logo started coming off on my bottle within the hour and I didn’t even wash it yet.) As for the ice cream, it is homemade everyday. I did not like their flavors too much. Green tea was really eh and got slightly on the bitter side. Maybe if I come back when it’s hot in the summer, the chamango would be more enjoyable.

My friend and I came here and we were sad that they were out of their popular bottles!(insert sad face) But we still bought some drinks here. We got the strawberry mojito and the watermelon slush. The strawberry mojito is a great choice as it has that nice bubbly taste along with the strawberry flavor. The watermelon slush is also a popular choice. I appreciate the fact that they use actual watermelon! So yes, you can taste the watermelon bits in this drink! Well worth your money. Credit cards accepted. Will come here again for their bottles though! :)

LOVE the sundaes at zero degrees! i fell in love with the s’mores sundae at their OC location so decided to come here and try something different —Chamango sundae: SO refreshing! it took me a while to get used to the mexican salt on top but this was a good tangy treat(a mix of italian ice and dole whip) they also have drinks that are served in glass bottles, but i havent tried one yet NOTE: they don’t have a stamp card system but I wish they could start one!

[+2] Drinks are great, I’ll give them that! I loved my matchata! Great combo of high quality matcha flavor and yummy horchata! [-1] Didn’t like that I showed the guy my 10% off on Unilocal and he nodded but didn’t give it to me. [-2] Also, they ran out of glass bottles which is really one of the biggest reasons people come here. I read the other reviews and it seems like I’m not the only who has the checking in problem and the glass bottle problem. Seems like they run out of bottles often. Zero Degrees needs to get their act together on this one!

Zero Degrees is a handcrafted drink and sundae place. They are located in a plaza right next to Half and Half. They have ten handcrafted drinks, seven signature sundaes, and three daily brewed teas. Their handcrafted drinks are made with 100% real fruits(if the drink calls for fruit) and they don’t use powders or syrups. Their selection is a bit limited but they seem to garner a huge crowd. With drinks you can have the option of getting it in a regular plastic cup or a glass bottle. The glass bottle is $ 1.50 extra but it looks pretty cool. Adding boba is $ 0.50 and if you want to drink with a tamarind straw it’s $ 1 extra. I got Coffee Horchata with Boba served in a glass bottle. The coffee was subtle but the horchata flavor was definitely robust. The drink was rather sweet but good overall. The boba texture was not as soft or gummy as I would like but was still decent. If I get this drink again, I wouldn’t get it with boba. Service was good. The cashier was nice and I checked in on Unilocal for a 10% off discount. The drink arrived within ten minutes. There needs to be better ventilation inside the place because I felt like I couldn’t breathe in there. The heater wasn’t on but it was just unbreathable. There have a few tables and some benches. When I went during the afternoon, all the seats were practically taken. There was a huge crowd standing near the register after I took my order. It was just really crowded in there. Overall, the coffee horchata was good. I’ll come back and try more of their drinks.

I really liked the Jasmine milk tea here! But watch out if you’re sensitive to caffeine. It will keep you up all night. Perfect for if you want to pull an all nighter. I originally came here because I saw the cute bottles that were sold here. So yes, the marketing worked on me. BUT, once I got here, I realized that the bottle costed an extra $ 1.50! That would make my $ 2.75 drink, a $ 4.25 drink! After doing the math, I did not succumb to these hipster marketing models. I got my drink in a regular plastic cup and still enjoyed it just as much as I would have if I had gotten the bottle.

Putting drinks in a bottle makes them look so much more delicious! My friend and I stopped by here today because we were looking for a quick pick me up. Interior décor is minimal. But there is some limited seating near the side. We initially thought that this was a boba drink place, and it is, but they actually focus half of of the menu on ice cream. The ice cream reminds me of Frostbites, very icy with slight cream. I tried the orange mint mojito drink($ 3.67) and I decided to pay the extra $ 1.50 for a glass bottle(I’m a sucker for dem bottles!) Anywho, as pretty as it was, I thought the drink was ok. They included orange rind on the bottom and it made some of the sips that I had kind of bitter. The other issue was that the drink is really sweet. Although they do pack a lot of ice, waiting for the ice to melt takes awhile. Now that I am home and the ice has melted it does taste less sweet but still bitter. There isn’t much of a mint flavor either, which would have been good. My friend tried the taro and Thai tea ice cream and that was really good! Not very sweet and it was the right amount of creamy. Very refreshing. And by default, they give two scoops when you order, so you do get a sizable amount of ice cream for $ 3. I like the freshness of the drinks and the unique drink favors but I think the execution on my orange mint mojito could have been better. Staff was really nice and friendly. I think I will be back to try other favors. Oh and 10% off if you check in on Unilocal! It isn’t on the app, but there is a sign near the cash register.
