There are a few times in life that you want a good tasting hot drink. I love their hot Chai drinks. They are so yummy. The staff are so friendly and smile all the time.

They were very busy (Sunday morning) so there was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. The girl who took our order was very pleasant, and our drinks were delicious!

The Dalles, OR
Stumptown coffee is served at Grinders and it’s one of my favorites. Employees are very friendly and helpful, taking great care in getting orders right, remembering regulars and semi-​regulars.
Prices are good and completely in line with other coffee places.
They also have a small lobby for walk up customers, which is nice if you need hardware from True Value or the window lines are long.

Very nice coffee barn. They were using Monin coffee syrups. That’s amazing. I had to go there a few times before I started really liking the coffee but it truly is decent.

They:
* Didn’t understand the order I read to them off of their «specials» sign.
* Didn’t make the right drink.
* Gave us a Strawberry shake (instead of Strawberry Lemonade smoothie) that made my wife sick.
Head to Dog River Coffee in Hood River instead, or even Dutch Bros. down the road in The Dalles.

I have been a quasi-​daily customer with Grinders for about two months now. Out of all the coffee available on my commute to work, this is the best. They proudly serve Stumptown — which of course puts them in another league of espresso. Baristas are friendly, music is loud, and the shots are pretty near perfect.
Keep up the good work! Saving me from flipped birds daily.

not really easy off the highway, but worth the little drive over. i didn’t expect much coming from a drive through but had to give it a shot since they serve STUMP TOWN and they are pulling shots off a Nuova Simonelli. the same barista made my drink 3 days in a row and was very consistent. the consistency of her shot was great and the milk was nice and full of flavor. my latte was great.
my only complaint is the beverage was a little hotter than i prefer, but not so hot that the milk was scorched.
I will definitely be stopping through Grinders on future trips to the dalles.

Good stop along a very soon to be very boring drive east. Good coffee and easy to get back on highway.
