So frustrating to completely change my view of any company, but especially this business because I believe in the concept so much. The last time I hired them is a long story. It includes them being late, and, more importantly, very uncomfortable propositions from one of the owners. The female owner apologized for both issues, however, she still felt it justified to charge the $ 30 fuel surcharge. So, yes. I am disappointed.

The reason i give it 5 stars: Price. That’s why you go to a place like this. Cheaper than craigslist, Cheaper than Habitat for Humanity cheaper than the Rebuilding center, and even cheaper than many garage sales. WAYY cheaper than Goodwill and If you frequent these places; you will probably like this one. PLus you never know what you will find. If you are a compulsive garage saler, Diyer, Organizer of too much stuff, If you are a scrapper, tinkerer, fixer, welder, woodworker, if you like making machines with small motors or just cannot bring yourself to pay retail for something that you know you could get used but just can’t find on craigslist at the moment: Then you will probably love this place. This place is still kind of a secret so part of me hesitates writing this, but after seeing the negative review it didn’t seem right to me that people who use Unilocal would see that unfair review and judge these guys by that measure. Things you will find in abundance: organizational items, bins; all kinds –stackable, opaque, clear, wire racking and wire baskets, sheet steel, random bar and round steel, casters, used medical equipment and chemistry type stuff tons of small glass chemistry type bottles — many w/screw on caps, vials, beakers and little storage stands for them. There are small motors and occasionally ones that are attached to something else, surplus industrial type clips hooks fasteners and hardware. Lots of electrical stuff also and huge selection of office chairs in the back covered area. By the way their decent steel selection: .25c a pound. It’s no Clackamas Steel, but it has a small decent selection of metal that most fabricators, artists, crafters can find use for. I’ve been going to this place for probably a year and a half now and since they moved they have gotten much more organized. There are prices on many things now and stuff is much easier to find than it used to be. That being said, expect to have to ask the price of many items — if this isn’t your style. well then. If the OPEN light is on they are there, just walk in the side door if the big front garage door is closed when the weather is bad. It is common to have no one in the sales area. I just find a basket or bin or something and just start putting stuff in it and they show up soon enough and will be happy to help. This is the tradeoff for being able to get stuff at such a low cost. Happy Hunting

Just went into I Go Greener for the first time and bought a bunch of random stuff this past week… Used metric glass chemistry bottles, plastic storage boxes, a GE microwave($ 10!), some office supplies. I lucked into finding this store, and since I love thrifting — it is just my cup of tea! The prices are fair, the assortment of stuff they have is really unusual and odd, but I can only say it is awesome! I can’t wait to take a retired electrician to this store — I think he will think it is really neat! Or he won’t like it at all! I’ve got a feeling newcomers to this biz will either love it or it won’t be their thing — no inbetween!!! There isn’t too much customer service, but it you have any questions, just find someone and ask your question! Things are very fairly priced, and I think the last review was unfortunate! I bet the buy who bought the freezer he said broke, could have got it fixed by a professional… and still would have saved money.

It sucks to have to write a bad review on a business who’s trying to recycle goods and keep useable stuff out of landfills, but these guys are just dishonest and don’t stand behind their goods. We bought a freezer from them and they said to let them know if we had any problems. When the freezer quit working two weeks later and spoiled our once frozen meat they said they’d help cover the cost to fix it. But the damage was done and we just wanted to return it. They said they’d try to «come up with» the $ 150 we paid them but in the end they refused to fully refund us and got very angry at us for requesting a full refund(mark hung up on us). Therefore, after all is said and done, we spent $ 50 to drive to clackamas, pick up their freezer, bring it home, clean it, replace the broken light bulb, lose a bunch of meat to spoilage, clean it again and drive their freezer back to clackamas. Don’t do business with these guys.
