Sears Outlet

The store was recommended by a friend. I was a little worried because I had seen some very negative reviews online. I am glad we decided to buy there. The prices are fantastic, up to 75% off of retail, if you don’t mind getting last year’s model or an appliance that has a minor cosmetic damage. We had an awesome experience. I wanted to make sure I rated them because most folks unfortunately won’t take the time unless they feel they had a bad experience.

Great deals on merchandise, but if you want customer service, this is the last place you should go. Went to the front register and the lady there, who was helping no one, told me to go to another register that was busy. RUDE! Obviously they don’t care about their customers, this is the pit of Sears.

Although I didn’t end up purchasing my needed appliances from here, I went in and looked at many different brands to compare to other stores and the gal who helped me was Jenn. She was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Knowing they work on commission, I feel badly that I ended up purchasing my items elsewhere so I wanted to write this review in hopes that someone else will ask for Jenn when they are ready to purchase or shop here. Thanks Jenn for all your help :)

Very horrible service, we had to have a microwave taken down from the top shelf and the worker from the warehouse was very rude. Once we picked up the item we had to go to the back of the store which was full of homeless people and trash. The music to the back room was very loud and inappropriate so the same worker from before could not hear me knocking. Once I got his attention he was very short and then took 5 minutes to bring my stuff out to the car. He didn’t know how to load the car so I had to load the microwave In The car for him. He then walked back into the store and slammed the back door. Even worse when I talked to the young manager she acted liked she didn’t care. Not sending anyone there. No wonder Sears is failing so bad!

If I could give this store minus 5 stars I would. The sales staff is rude and have no interest in assisting you with a purchase or making a sale at all.
I dealt with two women, both interrupted me before I could even ask my question and were extremely rude. As I entered the store one of them told me that everything in the store was 10% below the lowest price listed. I shopped for about 40 minutes and decided on a washer and dryer. When I had a question there was no one to answer it for me. The first woman I approached basically interrupted me and told me to go to Sears. The second started shaking her head «no» before I ever asked a question.
I went to this store to pay cash for a washer and dryer and I left empty handed and angry. I’m going to purchase these appliances at Sears for the same price the outlet had them for and I’ll never step foot into a Sears outlet store again.
The ONLY reason I’m buying from Sears is that I found out the two are not related… The outlet stores are franchised.
BTW, my question? I wanted to ask when they could be delivered.

Did you know that these Sears outlets are really not part of Sears? They are franchised and owned independently. They have working relations with Sears but while you can get a great deal it can be a problem. Not only do they take Sears defective items they also purchase from other sources. So I purchased a Samsung dryer and they tell me I have a one year manufactures warranty. Four days after the purchase the dryer is installed and it has no heat. Call the store and they give us Sears repair number. Sears repair says they can’t do anything and that we need to call Samsung repair. I asked why their outlet store would give me their number and that’s when Sears said the outlets stores are really not part of Sears. I called Samsung repair and gave them the model number and serial number and they say that unit is not on warranty and that I had to send them a receipt. End up taking the dryer back and they credit my account. I asked them to sell me another dryer that’s marked about $ 20 higher and the assistant manager said she has to get authorization. I asked her to call her manager and she said the person who authorizes the discount is her managers boss, a DM type person from Sears? Wait they are not part of Sears or are they? Great values but risky if there’s an issue. Oh and if you call them, it seems like they put you on speaker phone.

Alright there is one reason this store did not get only 1 star and his name is Ron, my husband and I went in looking for a washer and dryer for my business, we looked and waited and waited and waited more. We went up to the 4 people standing around doing absolutely nothing and then were asked if we could be helped. When we informed the woman that yes we needed assistance she pointed to a Ron (who was finishing up with a customer) and he promptly helped us. Not only did Ron go above and beyond his job but he did it with a smile on his face. He helped us get the best deal and even informed us of an upcoming sale where we will purchase our dryer to go with our new washer to save a little more money. Thank you Ron! continue the awesome work.

Horrible service and they could care less. Had to chase down a salesperson and found 4 of them together chatting. Then I was issue a young lady that could have cared less.
Goodbye to $ 800

a waste of time. prices aren’t competitive and the salespeople haven;t a clue.

If I could list negative stars I would. Stay away from this place at all costs. I bought a front load washer that had some scratches and smudges on it. I asked if it was used and they said no it was just scratched up from moving it.
The price was decent and the washer was well rated by consumer reports.
They delivered it another day and the installer told us that the hoses from our old washer were fine and that we should return the new ones we bought at Sears Outlet. However problems struck when the installer couldn’t even get the washer to start!
We had to take more time off work to have a serviceman come about 4 – 5 days later (meanwhile they have taken our old washer.)
The serviceman was able to deduce that our washer had obviously been used. He found the problem and was able to connect some wires that were complete unattached to get it to work. He also mentioned that the hoses were fine.
I called Kent the Store manager again and told him that we got it working, but we had not received a product manual and that I wanted to see the records of this washer.
Some back and forth happened, which I should have documented, but eventually Kent told us he had a replacement washer for us. It was different, but he «would make this right.»
So now we have to schedule time on a weekend for the installation and removal.
The delivery guys told us that they had a deliver, but not a haul-​away order and that their truck was too full to add the haul-​away.
I had to call the store. Kent was apparently not there. I told the person on the phone that she needed to figure this out or the delivery guys were probably
The installation went fine except that they refused to use the old hoses and had to use the new ones that I was supposed to have received a refund for and hadn’t yet.
I waited a couple of weeks, but I never received my new receipt, my refund, my energy efficient appliance receipt/​paperwork. So, I called several times and left several messages for Kent and never received a call back.
I called again and spoke with a snarky kid named Dave. He was going to get everything including a refund for the service agreement we had signed up with, because I could get that for cheaper through Maytag and call me back.
I just got off the phone with him about a week later. He never called me. He laughed and said he called and left a message on my wife’s phone because he must have written my phone number down incorrectly. When he started to laugh about the situation and my need for assistance, he went to get Kent. After being on hold a while, he told me that Kent had left for the day. He proceeded to hang up on me after I told him I expected Kent to call me in the morning.
WHATEVER THE SAVINGS IS AT THIS PLACE, IT WILL NOT BE WORTH THE HORRIFYING LACK OF SERVICE! They don’t know what «customer service» means. There is zero follow through. Zero concern for their customers.

After my mom made a visit to the store and placed 3 calls and I placed 5 more calls (to the same salesperson over confusion regarding delivery and take-​away fees and warranty), I ended up purchasing a new washer-​dryer center. In the end, I was happy, but it took 2 more trips to the Outlet store myself before the washer-​dryer was installed and I was at peace with my purchase.
First — my mom went in with my credit card info and bought the exact model I already had — because absolutely nothing else would fit properly in the closet area my home builder constructed for a stackable set. She got talked into a 5-​year $ 350 warranty — which I called and cancelled the minute I found out (it already had a one-​year warranty and being that it will get very limited use, should easily last 10 years without issue). The sales guy who worked with her insisted I come in and look around before the sale was final — but when I drove across town to do so, he agreed that nothing else would work for me. Wasted trip. He also insisted I buy new parts — saying the delivery crew would not install the washer-​dryer otherwise. Fine. $ 40. Whatever. I also had to pay $ 70+ for delivery and $ 15 take-​away of my old washer-​dryer, but I still got a good deal.
On the morning the delivery guys came, they had a really rough time getting my washer-​dryer set up — because of the limited space. They got ‘er done — 2 hours later and with my help (I was the only one small enough to squeeze behind to attach the hoses). Finished, they explained that one of the parts I was sold would never have worked and the other was a duplicate of what came with the new set. They then advised me to return them for a refund, which I did.
My parents have purchased numerous appliances from this story and seem happy. I was just a bit unnerved that I was upsold on parts (from salesmen working on commission) — that I did not need. I guess it was worth the good deal and the hassle, but I would just forewarn people to find out exactly what comes with the appliance they’re buying before being talked into buying anything more.

I, collectively, between my residence and some commercial & rental properties, own a lot of appliances. When I need to replace something I do some extensive online research and to find the cheapest solution to meet my needs. Most of the time I end up here. The sales staff is also willing to barter for certain items which is awesome. I am not really sure about the customer service as I have mostly dealt with them on the phone after I already know what item I will be purchasing but I have not had any problems.
