One of the cleanest rest areas that I have ever been in. The staff inside was both polite and friendly. But the oddest things were in the vending machines. Granted they were odd to me, but probably not to professional drivers: 5 hr Energy, Vienna sausages and Eye drops. I think these are probably necessary for the job.

It’s free! Taking breaks during long drives reduces risk for accident. Alabama is kind enought to give us an area at which to rest. Alabama is crappy in alot of ways, but the rest areas are always clean, staffed, and free of lot lizards. First, its clean. Whenever I show up, its always clean or being cleaned. The rest areas are staffed with DOT employees that take care of it. No giant messes in the bathrooms, no dirty syringes lying around. Just a great place to defecate, urinate, or just expectorate. Also, the rest areas are staffed. I always see someone on duty late at night. Some rest areas can be shady and seem dangerous. Alabama rest areas seem much more peaceful and safe. Finally, its free of lot lizards. Many stops of the night, particularly truck stops, are home to creatures of the nights. Reptilian like shape shifters can be observed looking for evening accompaniment. Alabama keeps its rest areas free of such creatures through security checks and extermination(prosecution). In conclusion, Alabama rest areas such as this location are always clean, staffed, and free of lot lizards and other creatures of the night. Taking a long trip without frequent breaks increases the risk for accident. Don’t ask«does anybody need to stop?» Just pull off everytime you see one(about every 50 miles or so).

One of the cleaner rest stops along I-65 between Birmingham and Montgomery along I-65. When ya gotta go, ya gotta go. And this was a good spot for it with spots for people and for doggies. The«U R HERE *» on the map in the building really sells it.
