I went to my boyfriend’s cousin’s wedding held at the Padua Hills Theater. It was a beautiful ceremony and the reception was setup nicely. The appetizers were good, the dinner was ok. My quibble is with the wedding cake. That’s a central component of the ceremony and meal. The cake was burned on the bottom and tasted like it. In addition, I observed the wait staff behaving unprofessionally during the reception. If it were any other event, these things wouldn’t be such a big deal but it is a wedding… something a bride fantasizes about for most of her life. I’m looking at venues and caterers myself, but after my experience I’d rather go elsewhere.

The Mrs. And I met some family & friends here for New Years Eve. Apparently, this is the first year they had held a NYE event ant I must say, it was great!!! The crowd was mixed… no really… mixed!!! Ages ranged from 25 to 65 and you ain’t lived till you’ve seen an old couple really getting it in to «Pimp» by 50 cent… lol Speaking of music, the reason for the 4 out of 5 stars… The DJ played a really broad range of music. Too broad at times(we were in the 70’s at times) but he did mix it up fairly well even though the timing of certain song choices was questionable. I don’t mean to beat up the DJ, he did do a good job. Maybe its just personal preference. Anyway, the food was great!!! The drinks were made perfectly at the bar! The crowd was fun and respectful and the scenery outside was picturesque.(Hang on… big word brain freeze… ok, I’m back) the bathrooms were a 3 out of 5 the men’s seemed to have some unexplained water underneath the sink, on the floor & the women’s had a weird low ceiling but they both seemed to be attended to regularly and everything else was so good that the overall experience was 4 of 5 stars. I will definitely come back to this place if that throw another ever event, strictly on how great and fun the staff were. The placed looked really good too, for all the females that care. :)
