Stopped by this diner for breakfast during our annual fall tour. My husband and I love supporting local businesses during our trip. This place was quiet and friendly. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Our food was cooked just the was we asked. Great place!

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit apprehensive but we came anyway. I have to say, this is a great place for breakfast! We had a couple western omelettes, soda, coffee, water, and biscuits, sausage and gravy and it all was only about $ 22!!! Food was delicious Abe came out fairly quickly! Would highly recommend this place and will come back again.

Food is awful, very bland and doesn’t taste like they use fresh ingredients. I’ve tried going a few times and every time I go I’m disappointed and only eat a couple bites then pay for food that I didn’t eat it’s that bad.

Just a pro tip for the manager, or cook, or whoever the nasty old woman in the kitchen is that insults customers to her waitresses: People can hear every vulgar word you say from the(incredibly filthy) men’s room toilet. Don’t eat here, people. Stay far, far away from Dusty’s and it’s inattentive, obnoxious staff.

Claremont doesn’t have a whole lot to offer on the breakfast front and in search of such my boyfriend and I have found Dusty’s. After a horrific experience at another local breakfast spot we apprehensively decided to give Dusty’s a try and were very pleasantly surprised. The food is standard breakfast diner style food, nothing unique about it but it is good. The prices are reasonable and the food always comes out in a timely manner. What really made this our new go to is the staff. The staff is incredibly friendly and consistent with this friendliness and that keeps us coming back.

Oh, Dusty’s. As recent transplants to Claremont, walking into Dusty’s on a busy Sunday morning was intimidating. Lots of locals filled the dining room and eyed us suspiciously as we entered. However, we had an enjoyable breakfast. The service at Dusty’s is efficient and the food is reliable diner-type fare. My coffee was hot and delicious, my breakfast was filling. My partner and I returned recently and were disappointed to discover that breakfast ends at 11:30am, but we stayed for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Dusty’s boasts nothing fancy, but will be a go-to destination for us when we need a reliable breakfast.

Although I don’t visit on a regular basis, I grab a bite to eat there a few times a year. They always had decent & reliable diner type food. Dusty’s relocated again a couple of months ago, right next door in the same strip mall they have been in for the past couple of years. They removed the booths and only have tables now. The best way to describe the atmosphere is gloomy. No hustle and bustle and joking around the way it used to be. Noontime on a Friday you would think they would be busy but there were only 3 tables taken when I walked in and those people were all finishing their meals. While I was there, no one else came in to eat so we were soon the only table taken. Completely different wait staff than before — no familiar faces. I don’t know what has happened to their service and food quality but Robert B’s review is on the money. As I stated above, although only 3 tables were taken, for some reason I was left waiting for about 5 minutes before someone finally decided I wasn’t just killing time and I actually wanted to order something to eat. They didn’t have regular unsweetened iced tea as they did in the past, so I ordered coffee. Not only did it taste like mud and was luke warm, I had to ask the waitress for milk and a menu because neither was offered. They had a BLT burger as one of the lunch specials. Waitress said it was one of her favorites so I figured it was a good bet. Oh, how wrong I was! The fries were barely cooked and the beef(if that is what it was, still not sure) was RANCID! Wait staff seemed shocked at my claim.(For those of you wondering, I was definitey not rude about it. I handled it as best as one can when placed in a position to say they can’t eat the food. It was rather embarassing having to state that out loud). All of them looked at me as if I had two heads when I handed my plate back to our waitress. I know I wasn’t hallucinating because I was with a friend who ordered the same thing and said it didn’t taste right to her either. Their cook had to have known the meat was bad. You can’t miss the smell spoiled meat gives off when it is cooking. Needless to say, it left a bad taste in my mouth and I chose to leave rather than order something else but not before giving the waitress $ 5 because I felt it wasn’t her fault. On giving it some thought afterwards, I am sorry I left the waitress that much money as a tip. Although she was apologetic, her service was far from exemplary. Right after she brought the food, she slapped the check down on the table. Didn’t wait to see if we wanted desert or anything else. Maybe their regular crowd of elderly people can keep the«café» propped up for a while but I will be extremely surprised if Dusty’s is still open for business a year from now.

Stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday and was very disappointed. Coffee was terrible and cold. Home fries were barely cooked and had no taste. They charge extra for home made raisin toast but it was no better than Pepperidge Farm’s. Do yourself a favor and pass this place by!

In early September 2011, Dusty’s relocated to a new space in the same strip plaza next to the former East Buffet.

I went here to get a late Breakfast Great food… Great price. The place is small but I guess that fits the homely atmosphere.
