Been here over a dozen times. Average food at best. Kinda bland and just so so food. Service is hit or miss also.

Horrible service. Went on Cinco de mayo and server messed up our order, never brought our guacamole, forgot our silverware, never refilled drinks or came back to check on us. I normally tip 20% but tonight gave a 10% tip(shouldnt have given a tip at all). We will not be back here. Chips tasted old and were burnt and cold. Food was okay when we finally got the right order, but the other mess ups ruined the meal. Not such a great place when your husband has to wrap his to-go items in the chips paper since no one around to bring to-go box. Sad!

This place was quite excellent. The food was tasty and hot! I was pleasantly surprised with the Grande portions for the price. I highly reccomend the Fajitas Mexicanas. I nice mix of chicken, beef, and steak with sauteed onions, bell peppers, and jalepenos. The actual building isn’t too much to look at but what Mexican restaurant is?

great authentic mexican I am not a fan of boiled chicken so go w/fajita chicken or beef. great taste decent prices chips & salsa are best in town by far. I only prefer On the Border for chips & salsa. owned and operated by real mexicans from across the border.

In my younger days El Charros in Claremore was hands down the best Mexican food around. Though the quality has not nosedived it has lessened over the years. However the pricest at this location have risen greatly, while the quantity your served is noticeably less. I have friends who rave about near locations in Tahlequah, another midsize OK community. Essentially that the location their is what Claremore was in it’s hayday, same prices and quantity. The big issue is that nowadays their is a decent selection of a actual Mexican restaurants in Claremore, not just fast food, many of which deserve a trial before El Charros,

Tast like they use old ElPaso taco sauce… Very bland. I wouldn’t recommend El Charro.
