Well, well, well. Mardee’s. Hm. The server was the crabbiest of crabs. Crabbier than Mr. Eugene H. Krabs on SpongeBob SquarePants, and he is pretty crabby. When we told her our drink orders and said we were ready to place our food orders as well, she said«No, I’ll get your drinks and then come back,» and just walked away. WELLMA’AM, that is not a way to treat your table of patrons. She also took forever and ever and ever and ever to actually take our orders and pay attention to our table. It was quite appalling. We were here for 2 hours for breakfast! It was ridiculous. I ordered eggs, toast, and the potato casserole. It took a while to be served, but when it was, it was average. Normal eggs and toast, and the potato casserole was good, but it was missing something. It looked great because it looked cheesy and gooey, but it was still lacking I do not know what. I had water to drink, and it tasted like whatever dish soap they used to clean the glass. Ew. Gross. Nasty. Ew. Clean, but ew. Yuck. Not tasty. Bad water. Blech. I can taste it now that I am typing this out. Ew all over again. Go away blucky water. Overall, I don’t think I would come back. The server was not nice, the food was average, and I do not want to spend 2 hours at a breakfast place that does not live up to Sophia’s or Kostas or literally any other breakfast place. Goodbye forever, Mardee’s. It was not a pleasure meeting you.

Mardee’s is a perfect example of a wonderful hometown diner. Great food, warm atmosphere, and a very friendly owner and staff. The fact that most customers are regulars says a lot about the restaurant’s quality and good vibe. You’ll leave with a full belly and a smile on your face.

I did in fact meet the owner and She didn’t look anything like«Michael J. Fox» but she did have a great sense of humor. On this particular day, I ordered the everything omelet which was out of this world Included in this was, bacon, sausage, ham, green peppers, onions and lets not forget those mushrooms that I had requested not to be included, along with two slices of toast and a beverage of your choice annnnd home fries that were seasoned to perfection. Our waitress was always there to top off our bottomless cup of coffee. After finishing my breakfast I was a bit disappointed to learn that they didn’t offer«Wheel barrel service» to assist me back to my car. I was stuffed for the remaining of the day. In all this was a great place to eat and meet the neighbors. A sign on their wall says it all, «Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends.» I raise my cup to you. Inform the owner, I will be back!

Breakfast is cheap… But you get what you pay for. This place is very busy in the morning on the weekend. It takes a while to get a table. The servers are friendly and they keep your coffee full. The place definitely has a throwback feel

If you get here too early and they are not open yet, just lay down on the lawn out front. It’s also known as the«Mardee Grass.» This place is owned by Michael J Fox, who named it after his most famous character, i.e. «Marty’s.» If you want something French, I recommend visiting not on Monday(Lundi) or on Wednesday(Mercredi), but on Tuesday(Mardi). This is an adorable little place with adorable servers and adorable rich Clarence people on hefty doses of expensive prescription drugs, dining on carcinogens, and in that regard it is no different from any other diner. I had their breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. It wasn’t anywhere near as good as my fave in the area, just down the road at Ohlson’s(Ohlsen’s?) Bakery, but it was tasty and hefty and yum. Price was a little over $ 5 so not too hefty but certainly not cheap. Then again, in Clarence, as Blur once said, nothing is, no. Woo hoo. When I feel heavy metal. So check out Mardees out in adorable little Clarence Center, and be sure to pick up some prescription pills, a new SUV or Lexus, and a hefty dose of being white before you venture into these parts.

A great local breakfast /brunch place! Moved to the area recently and have been there a half dozen times. The cinnamon rolls are awesome, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Your coffee cup is rarely empty. Everything on the menu from the breakfast special to the French toast to the corned beef hash and eggs(my personal favorite) is super. Any trip to Mardee’s is a good one!!!

Mardee’s was great! A little tucked away– took some effort to find, but I made it. We stopped in for breakfast on a Friday morning around 8:45am. There were some people eating in who looked as though this my be a regular breakfast spot for them, and now I see why. The place is cozy as a little country diner could be. We were instantly greeted with a smile and picked a free table. The waitress didn’t hesitate to bring us our menus and took our drink orders. The menu has quite a bit to choose from but I was feelin’ just an old fashioned eggs, toast, bacon meal. I ordered the Mardee’s breakfast special which comes with, what I consider to be the reason for going, their hash brow casserole. OhMyFreakingCheesyGoodness! Yum! I loved it. My mom ordered similarly but got French toast no casserole– poor her! Not that the FT was bad, because it wasn’t, it was good. I did have to send my eggs back to be cooked a little long, but I’m a little weird about how I like them(a little over done but not too done), any normal person, like my mom would have thought they were perfect;) I’ll be back for sure. Next time I’m bringing the kids, I hear they have a cute little ‘treasure’ that the kids get to pick a little toy from. My kids will love that.

Mardee’s is definitely your average country diner. The service was friendly, but the food quality was just average.
