I ve been eating at Mill Creek for years now and can’t even begin to express how delicious their food is! Every time I eat there, I’m totally blown away. If «food just tastes better in Iowa«it s because of little gems like this café. It consistently has great home cooked iowa favorites. I’m new to Unilocal, but will from now on add photos to prove my point. I always bring new friends to try it and they agree… there s no finer food on hiway 30. They do catering too!!! If you really want a treat, don’t miss the Tenderloin Thursday s. Reasonable, friendly and all cooked with love and iowa pride!!! Doesn’t get any better. Save room for dessert! I promise you… you will walk out with a big smile on your face!!!

We stopped by the Mill Creek Café yesterday on a nostalgic family trip to Jefferson, Iowa along the Lincoln Highway to visit our family farms. Six of us arrived very hungry 10 minutes before they closed at 2:00PM, yet the folks at the café let us know we were welcome to stay as long as we wanted. The service remained extremely friendly and attentive. The café is clean, cute, and very comfortable. But the food… that is what this review is really about. The menu changes each day. Our choices were Pork Tenderloin, Hot Beef with Green Beans, or BLT salad(all with two sides). We all went with the Pork Tenderloin and I had a BLT side salad, so I can’t comment on the Beef. The Pork Tenderloin was the best I have have ever had — hands down! A LARGE pork chop/cutlet that had an incredibly light but crunchy breading was hanging over the bun on two sides. It was cooked to perfection. Moist meat with just the right amount of crunch in the breading. The BLT salad was simple and fresh, with just the perfect amount of shredded cheese, bacon, and dressing. My brothers and parents had the ranch potatoes and cole slow and said they were equally good. THANKYOU to everyone at the Mill Creek that day! If you are on the Lincoln Highway near Clarence, IA head to the Mill Creek Café. If you are interested in seeing what they are cooking on the day you plan to visit, hey have their daily menu listed on a Facebook page.
