June 10, 2016 Friday — 10:45AM for breakfast 4 Adults and a kid Atmosphere — 4 stars Food — 4 stars Service — 4 stars Background — Needing some breakfast before we leave the Buffalo area. Atmosphere — Basic setup for the dining area. No trills here. Case of donuts is easy to see. Food Drink — Coffee, black. I thought it was pretty good. Breakfast — Had to get the two donut coffee special. I had a peanut and. cinnamon glazed. I ate the peanut crusted donut first and it was good. The glazed was just there for me. Service — I think we overwhelmed her with five different people ordering. She did not do a good job of tracking our order. We are honest and made sure she got it all correct. Future — Yes

Great variety of fresh donuts. The ordering process seemed a bit confusing as there were lots of staff trying to help multiple customers in the same spot. I had the Kreme donut which is my favorite. Starting the day with a sugar rush is my kind of start. I also had a large coffee. The coffee was insanely hot. Overall good donut selection, clean place and friendly stafg. Great donut stop!

These are not artisan donuts, so don’t go there expecting«Proscuitto Honey Peach» or «Vanilla Pretzel» or some such. Paulas makes old school donuts. They are excellent and large. I wish their coffee were better. It’s not very good.

I’m not from around here so when I asked my sister to take me to get donuts I was a little skeptical about this place, considering the long drive to get there. I mean we did pass a Dunkin Donuts and a few other coffee shops along the way. But man was I wrong. These donuts are awesome. I’m from the west coast and these donuts are way better than Krispy Kreme. Highly recommended if you’re new to town and visiting like me!

First time at Paula’s.mOrdered a box of coffee, box of hot chocolate, and 4 dozen of the server’s favorite donut holes for a group outing yesterday. Order was waiting when I arrived, donut selection was yummy, and hot chocolate was a hit.

One of Paulas satellite donut locations. It’s a pretty big space and there are tables and a diner type bar to sit at. I’m guessing it gets busy on weekends and earlier in the day. When I was here it wasn’t very busy. They had fresh made donuts and a few bagels available. But at $ 1.15 a donut I won’t be back. The donuts just aren’t good enough for that price for me. But that’s good news for all who love them. I won’t be taking up space in line or at a table here anytime soon. I love that’s it’s local and so successful. I just can’t get over the price and can’t give more than 2 stars. But I wish them continued success. Easy parking.

Paula’s Donuts is a Buffalo staple. Staff is always friendly and, at times when the line is soooooo long, speedy. They do have great donuts. The red velvet is my fav and a must have. There are some flavors that I don’t particularly care for, however I think that’s just my own personal choice. I’m glad they are expanding so the rest of Buffalo can see what they have to offer. Coffee… not so great, but who really comes here for the coffee anyway, right? Paula’s does it right!

Don’t go for the coffee but their donuts are to die for!!! Mondays you get 2 extra if you get a dozen!

While the donuts are just as fantastic as their Sheridan location, the selection is definitely smaller here. The red velvet donuts will always be my favorite, but the peanut and cream filled are amazing as well! The donuts are HUGE, and I often find it hard to finish one. If you haven’t experienced Paula’s yet, you definitely should stop in and give the donuts a try!

Man, the digestive juices never get a rest in this town! Even the commonplace donut has a reserved place in the cavities of my belly when it is good. Oh, the peanut donut and apple fritter and chocolate buttermilk were all so good(not to worry, I did not swallow all these hole at one sitting). They were all so dense and moist. The place was super busy when I went which is good. Slow donut stores equal stale donuts. No wonder there is more than one location of this gem.

We had Paula’s Donuts as our late night snack at our wedding. They were the little donut holes. We ordered ~200 for a crowd of 100, which turned out to be a perfect number, as we still had a handful leftover at the end of the night. They have a delivery option if you aren’t able to pick up and deliver to your venue the day of the wedding –they hire Foxy Delivery for ~$ 15 to deliver. You give them the time and location and they’ll drop off. This worked out well for us! And guests loved having Paula’s! Would do this again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend for events!

We have died and gone to heaven! Paula’s is where it is at!!! The best donuts are family has ever had. We are sad we don’t have this where we live and have to fly all the way to New York to have them. First time trying these and we wanted to try it all! We got a dozen from what we thought were traditional to exotic and NOT one disappointed us! We couldn’t believe the size of the apple fritter and then we bit into the fritter and it was filled with Apple filling? What?! We don’t have that where we come from. We can’t even pick a favorite because we loved them all from the light peanut butter filling to the key lime to angel cream to the peanut butter jelly donut We tried a total of 8 and loved them all! If there were 10 stars this place would get it. The staff was so sweet and helpful and thought we were so funny eaton and taking pictures of everything. Not to mention the price. A dozen is only $ 11.00! For exotic unique donuts! It’s the bomb! Might have to squeeze another visit in before we leave

I always loved when my parents came home with a dozen Dunkin’ Donuts. They didn’t love the time I ate nine in one morning(including a chocolate log.) My favorite donuts were the cream filled powdered donuts, but now that I’m adult, they seem to have gotten stingier with the cream filling. I also discovered Krispy Kreme, whose cream filled chocolate frosted donuts had more cream and less of the criminal evidence. Tim Horton’s makes those, too, but they are so sickly sweet, you’d think they were made with a sugar substitute instead of sugar. I’m not sure why anyone would compare Paula’s unfavorably to any of the above(especially Tim Horton donuts… so, so bad.) At worst, the donuts are comparable to Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme; at best, they are even better. They may be more expensive, but they are also bigger. Plus it’s a local business. I tried a chocolate frosted chocolate angel cream filled donut this morning. The cream was less dense than Dunkin Donuts, and I loved the dough to cream ratio. I wish they made the donuts half as big for half as much. Right now I still feel bad about myself, but tomorrow I’ll be happy when I remember I have an angel cream and chocolate angel cream donut to split with my kids. Update: had ¼th of each remaining donut the following morning, and enjoyed them guilt-free.

It’s donuts, I’m not gonna give it a bad review. I love me some deep fried cake, that is the kind of thing I’d get diabetes for and only half regret it. Came here this morning because when I told my primary care physician I have gained 10 lbs since coming to Buffalo because of peanut donuts, instead of telling me I’m fat he told me where to go get the best donuts. But then in my office visit summary, he passive aggressively laid out in ever paragraph that he told me to lay off the donuts and walk more. I digress… Paula’s Donuts! Yum Yum! I got two peanut donuts, an angel cream chocolate frosted, some apple fritter type, a sour cream glazed and a red velvet. The peanut donut is HUGE, it’s more like a peanut brick. But that is one tasty donut! I ate half of it and felt satisfied, and my toddler ate some of it too and loved it. I cut up some sour cream glazed for him too, he liked that as well but seemed to prefer the peanut. I tried the sour cream, it was not my thing. It tasted like bad grease to me. I also tried the red velvet and it did nothing for me. I love red velvet cake but maybe it’s because I love cream cheese frosting so a plain donut with no cream cheese frosting didn’t really seem like red velvet to me? My husband had the apple one and made no complaints, so I’m guessing he enjoyed it. Saving the angel cream one for later. I really liked the peanut bricks so I’ll probably be back for that but now I know my toddler and myself can easily share one donut and neither of us will feel ripped off. I don’t know if I’d say Paula’s has the BEST donuts but they are still mighty good and we’ll be back.

I have a thing for cream filled donuts. This not an exaggeration– I am currently wearing a sweatshirt from Dot’s Bakery in Ocean City, NJ, the home of my favorite donuts. Like Paula’s, Dot’s has a near perfect rating and people claiming that they are the best donuts on earth. Like Paula’s, for some of us, our obsession with Dot’s is probably 2 parts taste and 1 part nostalgia. So, I get it, Paula’s die hard fans. I really, really do. But at the end of the day, every time I have had Paula’s donuts, I have felt that they are«A-Ok.» No more, no less. The Angel Creams of legend do have a great cream to donut ratio, but I find the flavor of the cream a bit lacking. I need a little more sweetness when I am devouring half a day’s worth of calories in a neatly stuffed pastry. I still need to coffee to counteract the sugar crash, but my teeth don’t hurt, and where’s the fun in that? So, I am not trying to tell you that Buzzfeed is leading you astray with their 33 Donuts You Have to Have Before You Die(I mean, their list of 24 signs you are secretly an old person was pretty spot on.) But if you aren’t blown away, you aren’t alone. Now I need to go take a nap… and maybe go to the gym.

I can’t imagine anyone not giving this place 5 stars because the donuts are out of this world! First off, yes you will pay more for a dozen donuts than you would at some cheesy chain, but the quality and quantity of what you get makes it absolutely worth the price. The first time you hold one of Paula’s donuts in your hands it makes you think«Whoa!» because they are just so hefty. The filled donuts are absolutely stuffed to the brim and all the ingredients are top notch. I’m conflicted about living 45 minutes away from the shop because, while I don’t go as often as I like, if it was closer, I know I could not stay away. So yummy in the tummy. These donuts are the stuff of dreams.

Both the Paula’s locations offer great donuts, along with fast, efficient, and friendly service. Even on a busy Friday morning on the day before Valentine’s Day, you can get served quickly and on your way with no hassle. The selection is great, but the best choice is the angel cream donut: white filling and chocolate frosting. One will wake you up quite nicely, while two will keep you going for the rest of the day. The apple cinnamon ones are also good, and the plain glazed also have a classic donut taste. Is Paula’s expensive? At $ 11 a dozen, they are not cheap, but the donuts are larger than the ones you find at the chain places. It takes two boxes to hold a dozen of Paula’s offerings. Sometimes restaurants disguise poor quality food by supersizing it, but such is not the case here. And you can save money by going to their web site and downloading coupons. Also, checking it at Unilocal or Facebook will give you some savings. Today my Unilocal check-in gave me two free donuts when buying a dozen. With 14 donuts on hand, we will not need more for a while. Hosting a meeting at work? Bringing Paula’s donuts to the meeting will get you off to a good start. Getting some donuts for home? You will also be a hit.

Ok — it’s a very strong 3, but I cannot go higher. The place had plenty of parking spots, but everything else was just ok. The selection may have been large, but that came with a hefty price for donuts that just didn’t compare to others I’ve had. The peanut one is certainly large, but it seemed a bit dried out in the center — perhaps too big for the flavor. The biggest problem here is in the price — I’m just not real happy with what I got for my money — I had expected more. I will give it another shot though in three months!

Their homemade donuts are worth every calorie. My favorites are the chocolate frosted angel cream and the absolute best apple fritters! Reasonably priced, easy to get to location.
