I also had a disappointing experience with Upkeepers. I requested a quote on a window repair/replacement. I was asked to send photos of the windows which I did within minutes of the request. I followed up with 2 emails and a phone message asking for a quote. I received an email that said«we are working on it». After almost 3 weeks, I received a call and a quote that was over twice the amount that 2 different companies had given me. In response to Tom’s reply. I did not specifically request repair or replacement. I asked him to come and look at the window and to give me an estimate. He asked for photographs instead, no measurements or anything that would help him find a replacement window. I did not chose another company until 24 hours had past since I left a phone message with a young man in their office with no call back. So, I was trying to «be nice» and give him the benefit of the doubt. When Upkeepers’ estimate was $ 1000 compared to 2 estimates I have received for under $ 500 to replace the window, that sealed the deal.

These guys were great! I had them remodel my master bathroom. From the original estimate to the last piece of tile that was installed, they were courteous, quick and always cleaned up after each day of work. I will be sure to call them again with my next project.

These guys are a joke. I just noticed my skylight had a crack in it late last night so I am calling around trying to find a company that can give me guidance. I have called multiple companies since it is Saturday morning and nobody is answering. I get a call back from these guys and I ask which company they are with since he didn’t say. He goes, «If you are going around calling multiple companies then I am not interested. We do high quality work and…» I interrupt him and go, «Hey, of course I’m going to call different companies and try to get information because that’s what an intelligent person does and plus I have never had this happen to me before.» WTH?! They know nothing about me or my situation and he’s already saying he’s not interested because I’ve called other businesses? He then goes, «Look, go back to my website and e-mail me from there and I will be back at the office in about 25 minutes.» Ok, you want me to go e-mail you when you already have me on the phone? I simply stated, «I’m not interested» and hung up. All I was trying to find out is how much to replace my skylight, that’s it and we couldn’t even get to the point of my call because of this joker. I hate dealing with businesses that don’t have a clue about customer service or retention. It takes a lot more than just good work to gain the trust of customers today. Thank God for Unilocal where we can voice our experiences and warn others. Trust me, I know about customer reviews. My company is the #1 review site in our industry and those reviews can make or break a business’ reputation.
