My grandmother lives near Clarion and over the years I have stayed in several of the area chain hotels. The Clarion House is far and away better than any of these other options. If cleanliness alone were the deciding factor, Clarion House is spotless while each of the competing hotels generally leave a bit to be desired. But alas, there are so many other reasons to stay here: 1) The Owners: Bill and Judy are quite simply two of the nicest people you will ever meet. Both are extremely sociable, love to talk about their global travels, and are more than happy to help ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible. 2) The Accommodations: As stated before, this place is SPOTLESS, from the common areas to the guest rooms. While there are not TVs in the rooms, there is a TV in a comfortable common seating area upstairs. There are tons of books and magazines to read in the guest rooms and in the common areas and WiFi is free throughout the house. 3) The Food: Judy is a great cook! One morning we had a fabulous peach french toast and the next we had a delicious cheese soufflé. Each meal was serve with a cup of freshly cut fruit(I watched her cut it each morning) and a piece of coffee cake or other baked sweet. She seems to accommodate to special dietary needs as well: I saw her serve a different meal(omelet and yogurt) to a guest one morning. Despite all these clear advantages over local hotels, what surprised me most was the price: our room rates were about the same(if not less) than these hotels. Thus, this will be our«go to» lodging venue in Clarion from now on.

What a delightful place! If you want to see a beautiful, old home immaculately renovated and immaculately kept, come to Clarion House. You will be amazed at the careful detail; even the items placed around the house ooze with authenticity. In terms of a place to stay, I would say that it’s very comfortable — good beds, good bathrooms, everything works even though this place is over 100 years old. The breakfast is great and homemade. You will eat around big, wooden table in the beautiful dining room. I challenge you to leave hungry. The house is on a large corner lot and there are colorfully painted chairs in the yard where you can hang out, read a book, etc. It’s only a block walk to Main Street, where there are lots of neat shops. It’s also within easy walking distance of Clarion University, which has such a nice campus. I liked everything about this place, including the charming hosts, Bill and Judy. I highly recommend it and I hope my travels bring me back here someday.

Great stay! Bill and Judy are wonderful B&B hosts, and Judy makes a delicious breakfast. The house is beautiful and decorated immaculately, it really feels like a time machine experience. Clarion may be a small town but this is the place to stay if you’re looking for a friendly and fun B&B. Very close to the university and easy parking too.

Clarion House is about as good as it gets! Bill and Judy own a terrific B&B. The rooms are spacious and the décor is as welcoming as it is beautiful(especially during the Christmas Holidays). No detail is left to chance, including the delicious breakfast Judy carefully whips up in her kitchen. Bill is a gracious host and he is always willing to sit down with his guests to chat and tell rich and interesting stories. During your stay, remember to ask him about his hobby. He may very well take you downstairs to view a magnificent model train layout that he and his close friend have built over the years. If you are coming to visit Clarion Univ. or just visiting the area, you won’t find a better place to stay. Because of the lack of great food choices in the area, my only wish is that they would serve dinner as well!
