You’re typical gas-​up, buy a drink and a couple of lottery tickets kind of place. It is centrally located in Clarkesville though so you can’t beat the convenience. There’s a Subway but much like others that are inside convenience stores the staff can be a bit lackadaisical. People in general are nice but there can be quite a line at the register.

We usually hit up the Kangaroo before we head into the mountains for camping and backpacking. This is the last stop before you hit the Panther Creek trail just up the road. It’s also just a little ways from Talullah Gorge if you’re heading there for the day.
They have a full selection of snacks, drinks, and forgotten personal items (chapstick, aspirin, etc.).
There is also a Subway inside the store so you can get a tasty sammich to eat for lunch on the way to wherever you’re going.
The gas is competitively priced.
