Dagwood’s Subs & Pizza

love the food but always takes over hour to get your delivery. however the food is worth the wait. every since they went back to the original management the food quality has went back up.

It’s been years since I’ve managed to get into Dagwood’s. When I used to work over at the old hospital before it moved and I started my traveling lifestyle, this used to be the sandwich place coworkers and I would order from on the regular.
I’m in the area for my quarterly visit and happened to be downtown running errands. Of course I had to stop in because I remember the food being fabulous in the past.
Ordered an Italian cheesesteak and a Greek side salad. It was good, but not to the caliber it was in the past. Perhaps traveling has altered my perception of good food, but I didn’t feel the same level of wow. Still, it was a good cheesesteak. Had grilled onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Bread was soft and the meat tender.

Friendly staff that serve up a little bit of everything from a typical garden salad, pizza, gyros to many different subs. Conveniently located for me. Walkin orders take between 5 – 10 min.

The food was good, but only order delivery if you have 2 hours and 23 minutes to kill. Ordered our food at 7pm, they said it would be about an hour, at 830pm I called and they said the driver was out on delivery and would be back in about 15 minutes and would bring our food. At 915pm the driver called for directions made it here at 923pm.

I hardly ever rate someone with one star but this place was horrible! Called in an order for delivery. After an hour of waiting I called back was told he was on his way after 30 mins later food arrived cold. Do not order with the pepper spread, tastes nasty!

Sandwiches and pizza, the veggie sub was good but interesting… I’ve never had broccoli on a sub before coming to Dagwood’s. The staff is friendly.

We stopped here for lunch on a road trip to Ohio. It’s a nondescript storefront in downtown Clarksburg, with seating for about 20. Like some other reviewers said, they have subs, pizza, cheesesteaks, etc.
We ordered a pizza sub, a couple slices of pepperoni pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, a tuna salad, and potato soup. The pizza was hot and crispy, and looked like a hand-​rolled crust. The spaghetti came with three large meatballs, and was way more than my daughter could eat, so we took the rest home. The pizza sub was hot and juicy, and crispy on the outside. The downer was the salad — it was all iceburg lettuce and not very good packaged dressing.
But the best thing was the soup — all of them are homemade. My potato soup was creamy with nice chunks of potato, plain but satisfying. However, while we were waiting for our food, the chef gave us a couple tasting cups of the cream of crab soup. I live in Baltimore now, so it’s not like I can’t get good crab soup. But this soup was something else — rich and creamy, with a decent amount of crab to give it a seafood flavor, and with just enough spice to make it interesting.
I would definitely go back for more of the crab soup — but I’d have a sandwich instead of the salad.

Cheesesteaks are very good! I would go five star just based on the steaks, but I also have had a pizza and it could have been better. Atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but the food is very good. This place will continue to get my business and I will recommend it to all sandwich lovers. I order the Italian Cheesteak. Very Good. Comparable to one right out of Philly.

This place is owned by my good friend’s father. So it’s family owned with a strong background of Greek heritage. Amazing pizza like no other, subs, gyros, soups, basically anything you can think of, Dagwood’s has it. The prices are awesome as well. It’s a warm, friendly, laid back environment, and the owner is a super nice guy. You’ll love what Dagwood’s has to offer
