We went with a group of 12 people for a wine tasting as well as a tour of the facilities. We got there a bit late, but they were extremely accommodating and let us get started with tasting while waiting for the rest of the group to arrive(Us :)). The tour guide had a nice personality and kept it short and sweet(which is nice when its 90+ outside). He was more than happy to answer all our questions and even cracked a few jokes! He was super informative and I wish I remembered his name. Next we got to do the wine tasting and pairing with some delicious cheeses and crackers! My favorite part! Michelle was our host for the tasting and she was extremely fun and friendly. She made us feel very comfortable and when we accidentally had a little wine spill she ran and made sure to get us something so our clothes didn’t get stained. She also made a great recommendation for a food restaurant for after our tasting — delicious! They were also quite accommodating to our multiple requests for«second» tastings :) All in all, the employees were as polite as could be and the wine was great! They also had great deals on the wine on the way out so of course we took advantage :) We took home the ’09 Genie(my favorite) as well as a case of the ’08 Sonya — Yum! Thank you Solomon Winery and especially Michelle for making our visit one to remember!

These guys definitely have personality, I’ll give ‘em that! Combine that with a free tasting and you’ve got a winner. The wines here are all reasonably priced, the staff is fun and friendly, and the varietals are rather tasty. My favorites are the Roussane, «Genie»(a white blend), and the Carnivale. Oh man, you should SO try the Carnivale! It’s sangria in a bottle! So delicious. If you’re looking for nice palate-friendly easy-drinking wines at a reasonable price(I recommend stocking up on this stuff if you’re planning a party actually), definitely stop by here and peruse their offerings.

Sweet nectar of the gods, thy name is Carnivale. This is the perfect wine for anyone who loves a blast of fruit. Muse’s blend is reminiscent of a full-bodied, alcoholic punch. They take the guesswork out of sangria, but additional fruit could take it from a 10 to an 11. Muse’s white wine Genie is another sweet wine that is full of flavor and not excessively sugary. But Cloud 9 and Garsa wines are just as flavorful and worth the price. Most are under $ 20, so you won’t break the bank putting a bottle on your table. Their white wine would be great for a Caipirinha punch mix and Carnivale can easily be used in place of juice for frozen blends. They let us sample their own sangria margarita and it would make the perfect end to a summer’s eve.

The pouring guy was super cool. The way they categorize the wines is kinda different. We skipped the Muse line because it was described to us as the light wines. We headed right to the Garsa line and then on to the Cloud 9 line. There were a lot of very nice wines but we didn’t buy any. We particularly liked the experience in the tasting room.
