Such a shame… the service is awful… the food is terrible… and severely over priced… when we used to go to the owners restaurant in Freehold, That’s Amore, the food and service were outstanding… even if we had to wait an hour or 2 to, get in we would… this place needs a serious renovation, personnel overhaul, menu overhaul too! The smoking sections are directly in front of the front and side entrance, which is nasty for customers and their young children to have to walk through to get in… it’s dark and gloomy and looks dirty! Someone should submit them for Robert Irvine’s show on The Food Network… being its the ONLY restaurant on this side of town, it could be a great location for a great business… not run the way it runs now!

Tracie made our visit! She was so accommodating, not to mention made a mean Manhattan and dirty martini! Chilie was awesome! If you are in the area, COMEHERE!

Went here for live music which was great. The food was edible but by no means anything that will leave you wanting more. The majority of the bar seemed to be primary regulars, which is cool. Living in NYC the prices were reasonable, but I honestly would have expected a little less down in ocean county, nj. The bar definitely needs an update in the ladies room. Just some clorox or pine sol should do the trick.

Overpriced and food is less than mediocre. Won’t be going back. They served my 14 month old child after the adults were done with their meals. Smelled funny and bathrooms were dirty.

Restaurant is filthy, especially the bathrooms. Food is average at best but priced like a restaurant in NYC. Kids meals are pricey as well-$ 9 for grilled cheese not including drink or dessert! Restaurant itself is very dated, especially for the prices being charged. It took 45 min for our daughters plain pasta to come out and almost an hour for our pub food to arrive. Low quality food also came out cold. I did not see a manager in the building and no one apologized for wait except waitress. No discount or anything offered for the disastrous dinner we had to endure.

I’ve been here several times over the past 10 years. Always the same. Friendly service. Food is good. Always clean. The owner always makes sure you are happy. They have a nice room for private parties, but is also a dining area. Very organized and professionally run.

Horrible horrible horrible horrible service!!! I’m forced to give this place one star, if it was my choice they would get no stars!!! We sat down and waited sometime before the waitress came over to us, when she did she tells us she’s sorry and will now take really good care of us. After we ordered we continued to wait over an hour for our burgers, we ended up deciding to leave so we just paid for our soft drinks. As we were walking out our burgers finally came out of the kitchen. The waitress tells us it took so long because we ordered well done burgers, we truly think she never placed our order. The many customers that came in after us got their food including the table next us, they told us they ordered a well done burger too! Asked for manager the staff tells me he’s the cook so he couldn’t come out!!! The manager never came over to our table!!! Came to Tommy’s Inn for a car show, noticed people going over to Kentucky fried chicken for food. We had never been to this show so we thought we’d dine at Tommy’s, with the service I now understand why the car show attendees go to Kentucky fried chicken!!!

Atmosphere is great! I’ve been there several times and each time I was unimpressed with the food.

Food was tasteless. Two people of our group got sick afterwards. The beer was flat and we had to tell the staff the keg was dead. Had a LIT and it was all tequila. Could not drink it. Ordered corn beef pastrami opinion rings and fries. All either was freezer burned or one of the worst meats I’ve ever eaten. Told the management about the issue. Offered a dessert or another round. No one wanted more drinks after two poorly made drinks. In summary not going back again.

We went in for dinner last night I really liked the look of the place the log cabin interior was rustic and nice. The tables and chairs were old and wobbly though. There were only 2 couples one seated at the bar directly in front of us so we could enjoy their backs, not a big deal but we could have been seated anywhere else in the place the other had a couple of kid who were a little loud, no big deal but in an empty restaurant it was distracting. The food was the big let down the menu is typical middle of the road. To have an independent restaurant with no real identity and the prices seemed real high. I ordered a burger I felt I would not get a decent meal for the price my wife had fish and chips. My burger ordered medium was well and much smaller than the roll I had my first 3 bites with no meat, my wife’s fish was ok frozen fish already battered. I loved being in the place, clean and rustic but sadly that is the only good thing about it

We went to Tommy;s tonight. They were very accommodating to us with for my infant grandaughter. The food was decent. The portions were a good size. The chocolate cheese cake was to die for. Truth we made a reservation and the restaurant was empty and we cannot figure why on a Saturday night. I would recommend it. The price was a little above average but not in the stratosphere. The service was OK. One thing that is bad is when I called I asked about looking at their website and it was down I asked a few questions but we really didn’t know the menu.

Friday night’s karaōke and Saturday nights live entertainment is tops in the area. Found food and pricing much better than restaurants in the area. Beautiful lady behind the bar keeps everyone happy

Stopped in for a light lunch the other day. It was around 3pm so the place was empty but my party of 6 had a good time and some good food. I had their Cowboy Burger with fries and onion rings and it was quite good. The bartender was great while their beer selection was not. Will need to go back again.

The food took 45mins to come to the table even though there was only one other table who was also waiting for their food! The waitresses were very nice and kept apologizing. Food was mediocre

Portions are large, and that’s the best thing I can say about this place based on my one and only visit. Our waitress(who may have been new) was very forgetful and appeared to be in over her head. But the biggest problem was the food quality. Our salads were frozen. The cucumbers looked like they had been freeze-dried and they had turned soft. I ordered a shrimp and lobster dish for my entrée. It comes on a colossal plate! The shrimp were decent, but one of my lobster tails really tasted off. The angel hair pasta at the bottom of the dish was way overcooked and a just a mushy mess that no one would want to eat. Bottom-line, this place probably needs to re-invent itself. Food quality is below average for the price.

I wholeheartedly agree that this place is WAY overpriced. My guess is they feel they can get away with it due to the tourism they get from Six Flags. Regardless, $ 5.60 for a crock of French Onion? $ 15.95 for chicken & shrimp Caesar salad? Mind you, the portions are huge-I think they gave me an entire head of romaine, but only 5 – 6 shrimp? Why so much money? I’ve been coming here on occasion since 1995, when it was the Millstone Pub. The décor is not much updated, not is the furniture. The menu pages I had were stuck together by… something? And the tables are so old and dirty you can see it from across the room. All that being said, the food was«good». Nothing was bad or didn’t taste fresh. Our service was pretty good as well. All I will end with is know what you’re walking into… I think next time I’ll just come for karaōke and a beer.

Couldn’t agree more about this place being overpriced. $ 29 lunch(before tip) for a fish sandwich, a cheeseburger, a coke, and an iced tea. There is nothing like this place in the immediate area, though, so expect to keep getting gouged here. Fries are the worthless extruded mash type, but the onion rings are good.
