Needed gas so stopped in town and used Unilocal to find a bite to eat. I’m so glad I did. What a gem! Great location, the interior is spacious, modern and inviting. The bathrooms are roomy and super clean. You can order a million different things from healthy to decadent. I love this place. I needed something I could take on the road with me so I decided on the club sandwich with a side of fruit. It was delish. Got an ice tea and raspberry scone to nimble on. Nomnomnom. The girl behind the counter was super friendly and made awesome suggestions. 5 outta 5 :)

Oh Wow! Impressive menu & coffee! This place is great for breakfast or lunch — simple and easy ordering with a delightful atmosphere of calm and classy. This was my favorite place to stop at while staying in Clarksdale. Best tip about this place: the booths even have little pillows in them!

Just like the old saying«don’t judge a book by its cover», I already had my expectations low given I’m in a small city in Mississippi. I was looking for a small place to have some dinner and crash from a long day of a business trip. The lady at the office I was working just had the brightest smile as she told me about Yazoo Café. And honestly I thought to myself, what can I have in here that I can’t get anywhere else? Honestly, the answer is some dog on good southern food. Not your traditional southern dishes, but a more contemporary celebration of traditional and sophisticated. I ordered the pork tender loin with a side of asparagus and spinach. Don’t get me wrong, southern food is an ad quoted taste and digestive system. I love it, but after years away from it, my stomach needs to refs militarize itself with it. The terser Lin is vetting I would change about a southern dish, keep its flavor but lighten up the sides. Also, no hush puppies or corn bread, they serve it with 2 slices of toasted… Sour dough I think. Just right on the way you feel after a satisfying meal. I can walk to my car without falling asleep on the way. Such a great place that I’ve decided to take the chicken tenders with a side of cauliflower mash. Can’t wait to be hungry again to chow down on them. Well, this seems to be a local hidden gem that should be visited when you are in town.

This may be among the«best» in Clarksdale, but anywhere else in America, this is strictly 3 stars. You stand in line to order at the counter. Food gets delivered to your table. Quality is average. Portions are small-average. Prices are high. Turkey sandwich was unremarkable. Quiche Lorraine had too much cheese, and portion was small. Cup of soup as an add-on for $ 3.50 was way overpriced. Cookies were delicious, $ 1.75 ea. Note that all«juices» have added sugar, and are thus really juice drinks! Be careful going in during«dinner hour» as according to friends who dined here two nights ago, they had run out of several items on their short menu.

The food was great but breakfast was expensive. Hot tea for breakfast $ 3.50?! Two omelets, hot tea and regular coffee was over $ 24. Ate there twice.

This place is so nice, clean, and modern. They are quick with service but the food is not rushed at all. Not even the coffee. I had a fruit smoothie with mango and banana as well as a bagel, so pretty simple but the smoothie was very fresh and I loved it! I was there in late June.

After a morning of duck hunting, a former local told us he was gonna carry us to a hidden gem breakfast location. He was absolutely right. I think most of our party got the creat your own omelet and no one left disappointed. I have been one other time since then and ordered the French Toast which was also very good. My next goal is to visit one afternoon and try their dinner menu. It also looked very appealing.

Really nice place, went in for a sandwich and it was good, but came back another day for a coffee and the salad bar and that was great. Was also nice to be able to work on my laptop while I was there.

A great place for some tasty vegetarian options in Clarksdale. I had the quiche and noticed that both soups were veggie(one vegan) and the salad bar looked fresh. My friend loved her meaty sandwich.

Fresh food, build your own sandwiches(and soft serve ice cream) in a beautiful, comfortable setting. Very friendly service, right in the heart of downtown.

We just stopped in for drinks and to watch a band. The cappuccino was fine. They serve all meals of the day here, and seem to be a very popular local gathering place.

Clarksdale has an amazing cultural history and it’s an evocative place to visit. Culinary options are, however, limited. Yazoo Pass is a bright, attractive comfortable place with really good food. They use quality ingredients and prepare them with care. It’s also the only place in Clarksdale, that I found at least, to get good(very good, actually) espresso drinks. I had breakfast here, which was quite good and the young woman who served me was terrific.

What an amazing surprise. On our way to New Orleans on blues route Highway 61 desperately in need of good coffee, we followed once again the advice of our fellow Unilocalers. And after quite a detour we reached what it felt like A Cathedral in the middle of the desert ;-) but it definitely exceeded our wildest expectations. Amazing selections of coffees, quite great food and frozen yogurt by the pound for the kids with all sorts of toppings :-)

Worth the detour and a wonderful respite off of 61 travelin’ on the blues trail! I needed a coffee and Unilocal directed me here. Had no idea I was going to find such a sophisticated and friendly upscale café in the middle of small town Main Street. Loved seeing and supporting a local place like this and hoping it can help revitalize the charming area around it. Would much rather give them my dollars than a Starbucks or the like!

Yazoo Pass is perhaps the shining star of downtown Clarksdale, especially Yazoo Ave. On any given day, you’ll find teenagers checking Facebook and medical residents scarfing down a sandwich between shifts. Its the local watering hole, and it brings together the people of Clarksdale. Perhaps that is what the owners envisioned, and if it is, they have achieved their vision. Yazoo Pass reminds me of the cafes we have up North, in big cities and college towns. Its a place that the locals, especially the well-to-do ones, frequent and recommended to me on a recent visit to Clarksdale. There is plenty of seating inside and outside the café. In comparison to what we have up North, the food is nothing to write home about. However, we’re in the South, the Delta to be exact, and this place has what may be the only salad bar in town. The salad bar is stocked with fresh fruits and veggies, so if you’re already tired of the fried goodness that is Southern food, then come here for a break. They also have standard café fare: sandwiches, chips, soups, baked goods, and a full-service coffee bar. The daily specials beckon with everything from grilled three-cheese sandwiches to gazpacho. The prices are on par with what I would expect to pay up North, which is a departure from the cheap eats at other local establishments.

Yahoo for Yazoo Pass! I’m positively addicted to iced espresso in the summer and figured I’d have to give that up for the steamy weekend I was in Clarksdale. Yazoo fed my fiend and fed it well. The regular order is 2 oz, so a large shot, but I got two. Cups are super large and filled with ice & soy milk= instant buzzy bliss. I didn’t try any of their food, as it’s not particularly vegetarian-friendly, except of course for the delish-looking baked goods and salad bar. The staff is SO nice though, that it would not surprise me if they’d make you something sans meat if you asked. Oh, but there’s froyo, and a tart variety at that. Serve yourself(I served myself plenty). The toppings are more on the sweet than healthy side, which I am not really a fan of. If I’m basing this solely on coffee, service and awesome environs(it’s in a refurbished Mid Century Woolworth building that’s now all sparkling and modern), easy 5 stars.
