You really can’t go wrong but the chicken shawarma is my favorite! The woman who runs this is the treasure herself! Great service great food I highly recommend it!

TEENYTINYHOLEINTHEWALL! My daughter introduced me to this place when i tried a Shawarma wrap that she had purchased during a visit. This place is easy to miss because it is very small,(yellow with green trim). There is only one employee who worked frantically preparing the orders as they were received. This place was buzzing with the regulars so do plan on waiting for your order unless you call ahead. My husband and I decided to try the Chicken Shawarma, beef gyro and the seasoned rice. The rice was delicious. However, my chicken wrap wasn’t very balanced because it wasn’t well seasoned and the banana peppers were too chunky and not evenly distributed I recommend coming in during slower hours so that you can get a better result. The wrap was okay but I would not return for another one. I

I was introduced to this place by a friend when I worked in the area. I don’t work in the area anymore. But, I find myself visiting Clarkston, mostly for a Chicken Shawarma fix! This place is a hidden gem. The owner is friendly and makes the food on the spot, so it is guaranteed hot and fresh. Typically, I call my order in. I order the Chicken shawarma plate. You have choice of chicken over French fries(goodness yes!) or rice. Piled on top(of fries or rice) are chunks of tender, juicy chicken pieces smothered with garlic sauce and topped off with a spicy sauce. You can get the«spicy» on the side but wow, get your taste buds ready either way. Also, a side of salad comes with the plate. Today, I ordered two chicken shawarma wraps. One for immediate consumption and another for later. The wrap has chicken pieces, lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, garlic sauce, as well as, the spicy sauce all wrapped in a wheat pita. The wrap was pretty huge and could not be held together with the pita, it started to fall apart. It was AMAZING. They have other items on the menu: tabouleh, grape leaves, falafel, etc. Not sure what to try? No worries, after eatting here once, you’ll find your coming back for more.

We ordered the Donair Plate, Combination Plate, Hummus, Falafel, and extra pita. The Donair and Combo were very similar. All the meat was flavorful and tender, the rice was perfectly seasoned(could been the main star of the meal, honestly), and the sauces were great. The Falafel was nicely done. Hummus was strangely smokey, but good. Overall a delicious meal. Two drawbacks: the lady who took our order didn’t speak English well, so she didn’t quite understand us or get our order right. Then she was the only one working, and it took quite a long time to get our food. I would definitely return, but with more time.

The Fūl is hands down the best I’ve had this side of the ocean. Very humble and cozy hole in the wall restaurant. And the owner is beyond sweet and attentive, makes you feel like you’re in you own home. I always stop by here when I’m in Atlanta

The gyros are not what I’m used to, but ok. The chicken shawarma plate, though, is out of this world! Seriously crave-able! Oh and the lady working there was just as sweet as can be!

Good Service, really good spicy falafel … Terrible hummis The lady that works the front is super friendly and makes all the food fresh to order The falafel sandwich is made with wheat flour pita, which doesn’t taste too flavorful. The spicy sauce is really good, and the falafel is crisped fresh. The wrap includes fresh pickles and onions with tahini and lettuce The hummus was gross, overload of garlic, a slight drizzle of olive oil and some weird chunks of curds through out = skip it

This place is so close to our house yet took me years to try it. All those wasted years that I could have had fresh, delicious falafel! It’s a tiny place and most business is takeout. I usually order the veggie platter, which includes falafel, hummus, grape leaves and salad. Their falafel is yummy– crispy and spicy. The grape leaves are pretty good and the hummus is creamy garlicky goodness! My husband gets the shawarma and says it’s really good. It’s family run and they make food-to-order. Not fancy but for quick, convenient food that’s tasty – I recommend!

I have never had Shawarma food before until my friend brought me food here. This place has the best fries rice over chicken, I think this plate called Shawarma chicken plate. If you ever come here order this dish and extra rice, bc after eating this dish you will want to eat more of the rice. So much flavor to the rice. The rice tasted like Indian fries rice but with a kick of Shawarma flavor but so much better. Just thinking about this makes me want to have more of it right now. This is a MUSTHAVEDISHHERE!!. I try their hummus and it was ok, not the best but it’s better than most place. You have to order the pita with it and its’s wheat as well. I like the flour pita more than wheat. I tried BaBA Ghanouj which is eggplants and this wasn’t really my favorite dips.

The food has been excellent during my last few visits here.(The chicken was very moist.) I have had shawarma from other places and I can now say that, hands down, this place has the best.

Had some time for a quick lunch while in the neighborhood for a meeting this afternoon. So glad I dropped by Merhaba Shawarma for a bite as it had been a while since my last visit. All expectations were met and exceeded. VERY small, old, but clean space. Super friendly folks and a full on Mediterranean menu board… no one culture or country specific cuisine offered, very eclectic and something for everyone. I had the Veggie Platter: Large fresh salad with 5 very LARGE, crunchy, spicy and tasty Falafel balls, 5 Stuffed Grape Leaves and a large scoop of really, really good hummus! I had plenty of this platter left over for supper. LOVEDIT! Had to get two fresh baked Baklava to go, you all should too! ENJOY

I was introduced to this place by Unilocal about a week ago and I’ve been here 5 times since then. I get the combo plate(spicy) every time! It’s so delicious and the staff is friendly

I had a beef shawarma. It was okay but definitely not authentic shawarma. I was disappointed because I saw the good reviews and wanted to try it so bad. Maybe this is an Ethiopian version of shawarma but certainly not the authentic one.

This tiny restaurant is a true gem in your in the mood for some authentic homemade food! The Samosas are to die for and the Shawarma is good whether you decide to order it over rice or get it rolled up into a sandwich.

Shawarma! You might be familiar with shawarma because of outtake at the end of The Avengers or you might be a fan(or not). Doesn’t matter, you need some shawarma from Merhaba! I’m a Clarkston local and this is my go to place for a quick and delicious meal! They have a great selection of MIddle Eastern and Mediterranean foods to choose from, but we almost always get the chicken shawarma or the kafkas & gyros. We’ve also had the wings, baklava, and hummus. Everything off the menu is authentic and tasty. I’ve never had a disappointing meal here! Be sure to ask for the spicy version of what ever you get, they add some spice and peppers that make the meals that much better! Space is limited inside so we usually carry out, they also have a limited amount of cold drinks to choose from. I would recommend taking your meal with you for comfort reasons but there is enough space in the case you want to eat there. This place is nothing fancy but food is worth the trek here from Buford Hwy or where ever you get your shawarma.

I came across this place here on Unilocal while searching for ethnic cuisine in the Stone Mountain area. I am a rookie when it comes to shawarma but I had the chicken shawarma plate and it was one of the best tasting meals I have eaten in my life. It is a no frills spot so do not worry about the customer service but taste wise this place gets 5 stars from me. The only 2 places I have been in Atlanta with food this tasty is the The Fish Spot and Afrodish.

Customer service here is terrible. I called in for pick up when I get there they are obviously arguing about something and they refuse to give me my order. Mind you their sign says open. This is the 2nd time they closed early but customers were present inside the restaurant and meat was on the spit. It was 3 pm. Maybe they just don’t want my business. I like to help about the local small businesses but this place is a no no. Don’t waste your time unless you know the owners.
