Why do you go to Sharp’s? It’s all about the fry sauce, baby! I don’t really like the burgers, but everyone knows you go there for the fry sauce, which they call«secret sauce.» I don’t know what they add, but it’s incredible. So, get a fry, or onion rings, and slather away. The salad bar isn’t bad, but it is a bit limited. The Clarkston store is based on a pioneer house theme. Nice and homey inside. Also, they have fantastic milk shakes. Their best is the huckleberry milkshake, which is seasonal(May-ish through September-ish). If you don’t know what huckleberries are, I pity you. They’re the king of berries and Sharp’s makes the best milkshake out of ‘em ever. Always ask for extra huckleberries. It’s worth the extra charge. The Clarkston store adds a few more huckleberries than the lewiston store. Not sure why, but there it is.

This is perhaps the most authentic, hometown fast food burger in the Valley. The Ranch Burger is nothing more than beef, cheese, lettuce, special sauce and pickles, but… ooooo… that special sauce. The fish sandwiches are HOT and crispy, the fries are excellent, and the onion rings are also HOT, brown and crispy, not those soggy things you find at most places. Kids can enjoy their meals while sitting on real leather saddles. The dining room is open and clean. It’s staffed primarily with well-trained high school kids. Of the three locations(also in Lewiston and Tri-Cities), this is newest and best. A girlfriend moved back to Alabama a few years ago and still craves Burger Ranch! You need to try it.
