While I love sushi land’s sushi. I am giving them three stars because every time I call to place a carry-out order its a 45 minute to an hour wait. Waiting that long to eat sushi is ridiculous. They need to work on their time management and/or hire another sushi chef. I won’t be going back to them for a while because that is extremely annoying. I order 4 – 5 rolls from them at a time, so that’s $ 50.00 plus bucks, they have lost from me. This happened to me when I called to order from them earlier this week as well and they take your order, then they proceed to tell you the wait time. They need to tell this info up front. A 15 – 20 minute wait is reasonable. I have had other minor issues with them in the past, they ran out of yellowtail, they changed how they made a couple of rolls without letting people know it was«new». For example: they added row to the yellow tail scallion roll without saying anything or updating the menu to let people know. Needless to say they ended up changing the menu back after they realized their mistake and shouldn’t be doing that without letting the customers know. Anyhow, I would call off peak hours or ask for timing up front if you are in a rush.

Phenomenal. The servers were great. Soup and salad was a 10/10, edamame 10/10, Waterford role 11/10, red dragon 9⁄10. Everything was fresh and looked and tasted great. I’ll definitely be back!

The sushi is delicious but a little over priced. The service is not outstanding, they’re friendly but they take a very long time to get beverages and take your payment. If you’re in no hurry, this is an excellent choice for tasty sushi!

The sushi was super good and fresh and plated so beautifully and the colors so vibrant. I took my dad cause I love sushi and he wanted to be «adventurous» and learn to like it. The menu was super organized and was showed raw vs non raw sushi rolls. My dad got the firecracker, which he absolutely loved and the pizza salmon which were both non raw. And I got the sunflower which had a TON of vibrant colored roe(usually places don’t put so much I was pleasantly surprised) and the Christmas roll which were both good. What I LOVED too was the steak fried rice, literally the BEST fried rice I’ve ever had!!! Definitely will being going back again soon!

What a nice surprise. Friendly. Great food. Reasonable. Loved the avocado salad. Tempura ramen… beautifully complex broth. Very nicely done. Highly recommended. Not much to look at from outside. Get over that. You’ll be rewarded with a lovely pearl. Going back for the sushi. Stay tuned.

Sushi was pretty good, nothing outstanding. Miso soup had best flavor I’ve ever tasted. Décor is cheesy but place is clean. We were, without a doubt, the oldest people by decades(45&53 yrs). Place was crawling with teens and college kids.

Best sushi around! We’ve tried almost everything on the menu and are never disappointed! Try the YumYum roll!

I stopped by here for lunch in my quest to find a good place in the area for sushi. Coming from Lansing I’m used to having several good to great options so I’m assuming I can find at least one good place in the Detroit Metro area. I ordered the lunch boat A. The portions seemed kind of small and I felt misled about the advertised tempura California roll since it was only two pieces. The quality was ok and everything tasted well. I just felt that the description of the food was kind of misleading. I don’t plan on returning because of that.

Just read my husband review of Sushiland from a year ago. We are now regulars! We only get Sushi/rolls and it’s the best I’ve ever had. I’ve tried several others between Michigan and Tennessee and we only want to come here. I love that the servers know us, and know what we like to drink, and can recite our order just as we sit down. Very clean and friendly awesome staff!

Nice Love Makin music with a touch of fire on your tongue from the Red Dragon Role and wine spillin all over your front… Makes this a damn fine Sushi-in-yo-face Restaurant. Good for a first date with a Fine Piece of Ass.

Don’t be scared by the tinted store front: tasty sushi hides within. There was no one else here when we came in but lots of people picking up to-go orders. Food was fresh and delicious! We went for the red dragon roll and dynamite rolls(raw fish) and there was no smell, no hint of fishy taste, and not chewy. Very good and worth the chance. Finished out with salmon nigiri… Took a little longer while the chef cut from a new piece if salmon, perfect sticky rice beneith. The waitress and staff are attentive, unobtrusive and very nice. Made good suggestions and always noticed an emptying beverage glass.

Had our first experience here last night. Everyone was pleasant and very accommodating. The décor, while not regal, is pleasant enough, especially considering Sushiland’s location sandwiched in an aging strip mall. We started with a plum wine and a Sapporo for beverages. This was followed with the edamame, nicely salted with beans easily liberated from their husks. Skipping the printed menu, we went after the a la carte sushi sheet. Sashimi of salmon and yellow tail — what some say is the dish which gives a good indication of the overall quality of a sushi establishment, spicy tuna, angry California, Red Dragon and spider rolls were ordered up. Being moderately busy, our server indicated our dish would take about 30 minutes to prepare. Sitting at the bar, with ingredients displayed prominently in the refrigerated enclosure at bar height, we watched the chef and his underling expertly crank out dish after dish. Our platter was ready in just over 20 minutes. To accompany our meal, we ordered a small bottle of unfiltered Nagiri sweet sake, the remainder of which came home with us. In any event, the platter was nicely arranged and did not not disappoint! What stood out? The sashimi, spider and angry California rolls were knockouts, with the rest of the meal nearly as good. We went home feeling satisfied without the bloat that sometimes comes with Western cuisine. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised to find this gem in our backyard and can’t wait to get back!

I was so happy a sushi place finally opened in clarkston! It was definitely way overdue and sushiland did not disappoint! Their lunch time specials are great, they have some really awesome deals. They used to do an all you can eat California roll for 12.99 but I think they stopped doing it. Their specialty rolls are great as well, and I highly recommend the Clarkston Roll. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. It’s definitely your typical sushi restaurant as far as deco and service… but is
