Just left the salon. Kathy cut and colored my hair today. I have been using Kathy since I met her a 1 ½ ago when I was referred to her because another stylist did a bad cut on my hair. I was told that Kathy could fix anything. She has lived up to it.

Went in with damaged hair caused by another salon, things didn’t go the way I had hoped for only because the damage from the other salon was so bad. Came out with a total different color than i had wanted but it turned out pretty. My hair dresser was amazing, stayed late to fix the issues that took place and didn’t charge me. It is a nice and clean environment and I highly recommend this place. I promise you will love this place.

Great place to get your hair done! Hair, makeup, waxing and lots of hair products for sale an everyone is professional and caring!

Im not sure if my standards are just different from that of Clarksville or what. I come from a big city environment where salons are a dime a dozen and right when I found a salon that works for me I moved here. I think Appearances is OKAY… Nothing to go crazy about. I really wanted to try out luster but they were booked and I really needed a hair cut badly. Chameleon I felt was a wee bit pricey for what I wanted to get done so I decided on a happy medium and chose this place. Walked in and no one was there to greet me. I waited for a good five minutes and someone finally came out and asked me if I have been helped. I told her no and she went to get my hair dresser. When I met my hair dresser I was a bit nervous because she was much older than I imagined. Most redken salons have a younger crowd and Every one here was old enough to be my mom but never judge a book by its cover right? She didnt ask me how I wanted to have my hair cut or how I part it or anything. At first she was going to cut off more than I wanted but I told her not to cut too much. The cutting experience was weird because I felt like she really didn’t do anything just a few snips here and the then she proceeded to blow out my hair. I’ve never had such a flat blow out and prettyyyy frizzy. I thought maybe it’s my hair and I know the water here hadn’t been kind to my hair either. She wanted to do more treatments but really I was just ready to leave. I walked up front and noticed that the lady in front of me who just got her hair done her hair was pretty frizzy too so that just confirmed to me that it wasn’t my hair texture they just weren’t as up to date with certain techniques. Needless to say I left feeling home sick and knowing that I haven’t found the one. Honestly wouldn’t go back not because they are a terrible salon is just not for me.. Paid what I would have paid at chameleon with less results that I could have gotten at home. It’s ok though cause I know it’s all about trial and error.

Probably the worst salon experience I’ve ever had. Went in to get blonde highlights touched up (it had been almost a year since my pervious appt) and came out with only half my head highlight and it was yellow stripped! The lady offered to put more in but it wasn’t the color or look I was going for. Wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Kim is the best! I’ll definitely miss Appearances. We just moved to Richmond and it’s going to be difficult to find a salon that is so reliable and consistently fantastic.

I love this salon. I went in wanting to go all blonde but after talking with Judy we did heavy highlights. I had so many color in my hair and she worked magic on my hair. I have gorgeous mostly blonde hair on top. She gave me an amazing treatment that’s usually $ 15 for free. I got my hair done cut and eyebrows for less then $ 100. Ill always be going to see her now. :) thanks Judy!

I’m new to the area and relied solely on Unilocal to help me find a salon to go to. I have to say that I am so pleased with my new hair. I had Kim as a stylist and she did an amazing job! I would highly recommend this salon as well as Kim. Everyone was really sweet and although I had to reschedule at last minute they were extremely accommodating!

Michelle did my hair and it turned out beautifully! She achieved exactly what I asked for and more! Appearances Salon has a new regular :)

Judy was wonderful!!! I went for a drastic change of length, from the middle of my back to a very short cut!!! She made sure to go over the pros and cons and what my hair may do when cut that short. She introduced me to products that help to volumize my hair without weighing it down, which i’ve had a problem with for many years!!! It was a wonderful haircut and experience, for a very good price!!!

One of the hardest things for me to find when PCSing is a good salon. Appearances exceeded my expectations! Kim gave me the best haircut and highlights I have had in years and all without breaking the bank! It was only $ 100 for the services and I have extra long hair.

Ms. Kim outdid herself again! Waxing gets much, much better over time, so she was able to pull out the tweezers to make sure that my underarms was nice and bald. :P She did a really great job on my eyebrows, as well.

I am from out of town and needed somewhere to get my hair done for the army ball. Appearances, and Michelle, were AMAZING! I will definitely be coming back here if I have a reason to get my hair done in Clarksville again!

This was a great place. I listened to the previous reviews and asked for Mandy. She was great. She listened to what I wanted. My hair turned out great.

I love this place!!! I went with the last two reviews and asked for Mandy. She was great! I was so scared to have my hair done anywhere and now I can’t wait to go back. She did exactly what I asked and you could tell she was having fun doing it. Mandy is so much fun to talk to and is a true talent. I have received many, many compliments on my hair all because of her! Can’t wait to see her again. She is trimming and coloring my hair next time. Thank you so much, Mandy!

I also loved Mandy! She listened to what I wanted and did a beautiful job on my hair! Exactly what I wanted. The shop is really cute inside and smells good. :) The cost is very reasonable, well worth the money. I will go back for sure. Thank you Mandy!

I LOVE Mandy at Appearances, but I know of two other good friends that see two other ladies there and are thrilled with the results. One of my best girlfriends goes to Judy and she loves her. Mandy specializes in working with people with naturally curly hair, but I think she’s a hair genius that everyone should go to… unless I want an appt at that particular time. I get first dibs. I went to Mandy after getting alot of length off my hair at another salon a few months ago and said, «Honestly, I feel ugly and like I have a mom Brady cut. This isn’t me.» I told her that I wanted something edgy, but that would fit in a professional environment and maybe something a little Asian inspired. Ultimately, I left the style and color to her creative vision. I LOVE it. I also love that this salon includes the price of a haircut with highlights, which is unheard of these days. They provide high end, trendy hairstyles that you DON’T have to mortgage your house to pay for. I left Appearances so much happier than the last place I went and I paid about forty percent less. As long as I live in this area, they have a devoted client in me!

They said on the phone that they do full leg waxing, but did not have a table, but could still do it. After re-​scheduling me once, when I showed up for my appointment, they had put the wrong time down, and asked me to come back in the afternoon. I could tell by the lady’s face and demeanor that her heart just wasn’t in it, and she really didn’t want to do a full leg wax, so I cancelled the appointment and went elsewhere.
