I’ve only had massages here, but based on that, and the professionalism of all the staff, I give it the highest rating. Lauren is phenomenal! I stick with her anytime I need my knots rubbed out. I get the deep tissue. Warning; it’s not a relaxing, feel good type of massage. In fact it can really hurt! But that’s because I wait too long to go back. My tip is to find out when they run a special where you can buy 3 massages for $ 150, and that’s a great deal. I feel like Clarksville as a whole charges way too much for massages compared to other places I’ve lived. But I don’t hold that against Aura. :) Lauren is definitely worth it.

I made an appointment for a facial and a mini manicure earlier this week at this day spa. Sadly, I don’t remember the name of my esthetician, but she’s really good at what she does. The consultation and facial were all very relaxing, and my skin still feels really soft and healthy days after. This was my first facial, and she was really nice about walking me through the process of what to do without making me feel bad. The facial itself was very nice, and she even gave me an arm and leg/foot massage. However, when discussing my skin care goals and products that I used on my skin, she started discussing FDA product regulation, etc. of products. haha As a scientist, I know that the FDA regulates much of the cosmetics industry-salon products included. So, please don’t try to convince me to buy your products by giving me misinformation– be it on accident or otherwise! In short: facial was good but quite pricey; esthetician needs to educate herself better on some things, especially when some clients wouldn’t know any better than to take what she says at face value. The same lady did my manicure, and I think she really needs to stick to skin care. First off, the polish that I chose off of the rack was so sheer that she couldn’t get it to even cover my nail without beginning to separate. So we took that off and chose another one. When she was done with this, I realized that the first polish wasn’t entirely the problem. Looking at my manicure, I was thinking that I could have done the same or a better job myself, which is not how you want to feel when you just paid someone $ 15 to paint your nails. In addition, she pointed out places where the polish was separating because in her words, the«Asian salon» that I went to previously filed down the nail bed too low. Well, seeing as that was 2 weeks ago, it’s difficult for me to figure out how the nail tech I went to before could have filed the part of the nail that is at the base now and would not even be grown out of the cuticle 2 weeks ago. Furthermore, there was some nail glue on one of my nails, which she just painted over but pointed out so that I would know it wasn’t her mistake, something on my nail from before. She couldn’t have removed it or filed it off? Seriously? It would have taken maybe 20 seconds and little to no acetone. I also asked for my nails to be «squoval» on the ends. Some ended up being the shape I asked for, some were crooked, and my thumbs were square with pretty sharp corners. Needless to say, it was not a good day for my nails. Luckily the paint began to come off of my nails less than 24 hours later, so I didn’t have to deal with it for too long. Now, I might go back for a gel manicure, because their prices seem to be pretty good. I will definitely NOT be going to this individual to get my nails done, however.

Pretty freaken awesome spot, especially since my husband and I got the new client special. We both got the deep tissue massage for the $ 39.99 an hour(new client special only). Josh and this other girl(cant remember her nane) were remarkable at triggering our tensed up muscles. Mostly our back, shoulders, and neck. you get to disrobe to your comfort level anf the staff are perfecrly courteous and respectful. I strongly encourage this spot!
