Every time I walk in this store I always feel awkward. I always feel uninvited and like I’m an inconvenience to the employees for coming into their store. They also give off this vibe that they think they’re better than me. I love binks though, it’s my favorite clothing store and I buy a lot of my clothes there so I hate that I have to feel this way every time that I come here. I go to the binks in Franklin, Murfreesboro, and Green Hills all the time and I’ve never felt this way at those locations so anytime I can I always try to go by those stores over the one here in Clarksville. Other than that I really love this store.

They should really drop the«outfitters» from their name. That is, unless they are trying to be more like American Eagle«Outfitters». I came in here to see if they were a small town REI and the answer is NOPE. What they are is a place to buy pretentious outerwear and some very, very expensive coolers. I thought some of the Volunteer Traditions shirts were cute, but I thought the overall theme of the store«outerwear for people who want to look outdoorsy, but not actually get dirty». Along with practically everything else, it seems I’ll have to add«outdoor gear» to my «I have to drive to Nashville» list.

While this place styles itself as an outfitter, I’d say its more of higher end sport outerwear shop. In other words, if you’re looking for a hip NF fleece or a Patagonia shirt to match the cool grungy outfit you got the last time you were in San Francisco, then this is the place for you. Seriously, they do have a good selection of jackets, etc. I mean, they carry Arc’teryx and MH. On the other hand if you go in there naively(like I did) looking for new hiking boots and a backpack, well prepare to be disappointed. The staff is nice and friendly and very willing to help. Oh, one final note. The place is relatively small, but their selection of assorted jackets is huge. The walls are lined literally up to the 20 foot or so ceiling with clothes.
