Frisch’s is a cross between a diner and a fast food restaurant. Our service was O.K., but nothing to write home about. The restaurant was clean and well lit(though I did not visit the restroom), the servers and staff all seemed neatly attired. The atmosphere is very child friendly and similar, in my opinion, to a Steak and Shake. My husband and I both got hamburgers that were just so-so. They both seemed a bit soggy and were overly salty. The fries were alright, but not as crispy as one would like. My daughter ordered pancakes and they were also just so-so. They were a bit flat and tasted like they’d been poured from a mix. The reason I gave it a 2 star instead of 1 is the strawberry pie. For the price, the strawberry pie is excellent. The crust is flaky(though would be better if it was made with butter) and there are ample strawberries. The biggest gripe I have about the pie is that they leave the strawberries whole which makes it exceedingly difficult to eat. However, they are real fresh strawberries and the pie is a real bargain at $ 11.99. On a whole I wouldn’t return for anything but the pie.

Not impressed at all with the food. We were seated in a timely manner but within 5 minutes we had 3 different waiters. WOW … We took our 4 year old grandson with us and looked over the kids menu. We ordered him a grilled cheese sandwich but 15 minutes latter found out they were out of while bread. My husband ordered open face roast beef and mashed potatoes and they forgot the mashed potatoes. I ordered chicken patties and they were overcooked. WE will not go back there.
