Lapping Park is a relatively small park and is especially good on hot days. It is in a completly wooded area so kids can play and you won’t be sweating as they do. There are also trails through the woods where sometimes deer and other wildlife are seen. A great little park

If you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all and take a walk in the woods, this is the place! lots of trails. there is also outdoor festivities(if the season is warm) and an outdoor theater. stream and lots of wildlife! One trail we were able to see deer. Also has a place where you can rent out and have family outings or reunions. I like that the golf course is close as well. Nothing like knocking a few golf balls on the green!

Didn’t know about this place until I came across it on Unilocal.Thank you, Unilocalers! It’s so close to home and seemed like we were so far away. Walked the trail and it ended up being about 1.9 miles, but my boyfriend’s phone showed 2 miles so somewhere around 2 miles. We went to the restroom and they were very clean so that was a pleasant surprise too. I can’t wait to go back again and again.

If you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all and take a walk in the woods, this is the place! The orange trail is about 3 miles long, with a nice section along Silver Creek, then winding through woods, up a little hill, through open fields, then back into the woods. Much of the area is old bridle trails, so there are many alternate trails to explore along the route. There is a nice variety of ecosystems to enjoy… wooded, stream, creek, older forest. And during the spring, the wildflowers are superb! The park also has a nice play area for children, and some other shorter trails… What a great discovery, hidden behind the golf course!

I find myself here about once a week running the trails. The park borders silver creek and has lots of wildlife.

We discovered Lapping Park tucked away behind the Wooded View Golf Course on Saturday when I was craving some time outdoors. It is a beautifully wooded park with hiking trails, two playgrounds, a basketball court, sand volleyball, a softball complex, a tennis court, an ampitheater, and shelters. I was able to get in touch with my inner-child while swinging on on one of several sets of swings before my boyfriend and I headed down a trail for a peaceful hike through the woods. This just might be my new favorite park.
