I will start by saying that this is definitely not my scene. The food is mostly cheap lunch meats and baked potatoes with various fillings, along with Rotel Queso that a lot of us make at home. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, its just the prices are high for what you get and the place is always packed butt to gut with people who love everything about this chain. I would never come here if it weren’t for the fact that I work late, this place is right down the street and serves lunch-esque food at a later hour, and that their online ordering is a breeze. So imagine this: I’m at work, its 6:00PM, time for my lunch. I want a conventional lunch of a sandwich, salad, potato chips, cookie, soup, etc. Everyone is getting off from work and Veterans Parkway is an absolute mess from people getting on/off the expressway. Well, here comes online ordering. I order, it says its ready in twenty minutes, I leave a few minutes before that time and I arrive just as they’re sitting my finished to-go order on the counter. Presto, pay for the food in the store(I opt out of adding my CC number online, we share our browsers), grab my lunch and wade through the hungry masses to eat quietly at my desk(I hope my boss doesn’t read this!). So yes, its really easy with online ordering, the food is ready when they say it will be and the food is pretty much exactly as advertised. My main few problems with this place is its always packed, even on a Monday night, people are always mad at the kids behind the counter(cut them some slack, they’ve had school all day!), they’re just really not a nice bunch, and the prices are pretty high for a cheap sandwich and Lay’s chips. My advice: Order online, save a few bucks and get the Pick 2(a lot like Panera’s) and eat anywhere but inside this place. It is clean, but the guests could drive you up the wall. The staff tries their best.

We had 6 of us that went to eat today. 3 of of went to qdoba and 3 to Mccallister. The plan was we were going to the the McCallister to go and meet them and eat at Qdoba. Bad plan… we sat there over 30 minutes. People after people getting there stuff before us. Well I ask a young man and he said they were going to get to our. Well some lady told them her daughter had an appointment so there to go went ahead of ours. It was ridiculous. They were doing the dine in. Well our party ate at Qdoba they came and waited with us then when I got my food it had onions. I HATE onions. I told the kid 2 times to make sure no scallions or onions. I went and waited until the Manager finally looked my way and I said this has onions on it. He ROLLED his eyes at me. I do understand it was Black Friday but it wasn’t during lunch time and it wasn’t that busy. If you are going to have a busy day then plan for it. Don’t have your customers wait almost an hour before you get food. We chose there because it was quick. The manager was hateful and down right rude to the customers as I watched. I won’t go back there again. All the people that say there with us won’t either!!! Plan better!!! If you don’t like customer service Mr. Manager get another job!!! You lost a good customer today!!!

Service is always fast and friendly. For the price, it’s a great place to have lunch every now and then. My husband likes to call me at work from time to time to go have lunch since it’s so close this is where we usually choose. I normally have their BLT and either mac and cheese or mashed potatoes and gravy. All of which are good. We will definitely be eating here when my husband surprises me with a lunch date.

Mar 13, 2015 visit: MEMPHIAN Sandwich: Substandard to the quality of that at the Middletown, KY McAlister’s Memphian. Substandard meat quality, presentation. Employees not as attentive either. Probably will not go there again, especially when there is so much selection within a few blocks around there.

I have been to McAlister’s Deli in Texas and Virginia. This place was the probably the worst? The reason: the cashier does not know what is in the menu. I asked a simple question, «does it have an egg white?» Since I am allergic to an egg white. Then she goes, «I don’t know.» She should have said, «Let me check or let me ask someone to find out.» Well, the menu was little different than the one in Texas. I would drive to eat at the Jason’s Deli in Louisville. If you work there, you should know your product line. Food was ok. Nothing splendid.

I’ve never had bad service, nor bad food at McAlister’s Deli. This location spins like a very busy top with corporate nostalgia stickers. There are always quite a few people eating inside, but the staff never fails to smile and is generally helpful. They even come around and deliver refills if it the place isn’t just packed. The food is good. Nothing here is going to blow your mind, but it will fill your tummy. All of the choices are standard fare, with sandwiches, soups, salads and baked potatoes being your main choices. I also like their cookies and rice krispy treats. The«Choose Two» combo is a good deal and the chicken cobb sandwich is very good. Overall, probably one of the better choices you can make on Veteran’s.

This place is obviously popular. Busy as all get out, it always seems packed no matter what time of day you come It isn’t so much that you can hear what everyone is saying, more like a background cacophony. The food was actually VERY good. Tasty and filling, I’ve been here a few times now and not had a unsatisfactory meal, though there have been the occasional mediocre service.

Trendy-ish deli sandwiches served by very nice and helpful people. You walk up and order at the counter and someone brings your order to your table. My roast beef was prepared exactly as I ordered it. Overall, it was kind of uninspiring but I’ve had worse, much worse. The cole slaw was really mediocre. Not bad, just very, very bland and kind of watery. Would I go back? I doubt it. It’s kind of a big«meh» but, if you want something decent, better than subway, try McAlister’s because it is, better than subway(by a longshot).

This wait is ridiculous for an order already called in! And they got it wrong?(ugh.) I miss the Shadier side of the river’s McAlister’s, they always treated us well. :-/

I like McAlister’s. It’s just what you expect of a deli. Good soups and sandwiches. It is consistently good with low-fat options too! The service is pretty fast and friendly. The tortilla soup is where it’s at.

Love the food, but very rude staff. Very nasty attitudes. Several times customers have been left waiting to order while they chat with their friends who come in and cut line. Wish they had another location in So. Indiana. The Grilled Chicken Caesar wrap is awesome!

I truly think I could live off of their food. Best Iced Tea around, and oh so yummy BLT’s and crazy good Baked Potatoes(any way you can imagine) Quick and friendly service makes for a great place to check out!

Good place to eat — at a place where you order in the same way as any fast food place, but offers service just like a regular sit-down restaurant. The sandwiches are great, the sides are just a good. Usual cafetria style desserts. How many fastfood places offer sides like mashed and gravy or Mac n cheese? Both were pretty great! Service is much better than expected. The wait staff cruises around the place an cleans your table while offering to get drink refills. I will be back!

Love, love, love these cookies. And brownies. And the rice krispie bar. And pretty much any pastry! I went to McAllister’s in Louisiana for a wedding last year, and all my husband could talk about afterwards was why I didn’t get more cookies. So when a friend and I were on our way home from Tennessee last weekend, and I saw the sign for McAllisters, I went about bought a TON of cookies to go. They didn’t make it home. shhh, I still haven’t told my husband.

I come here way too much. Mostly because I love sweet tea and they have the best, and it comes in a HUGE32 oz cup. Lots of different sandwiches and sides, but the real attraction is their baked potato lineup. They cram 2 big potatoes together to make 1 giant spud and then top it with anything from sour cream to chicken fajitas. The food is good every time and the service is wonderful.
